Mimosa, Bloody Mary, nice flute of champagne — or maybe a favorite tipple in your coffee. Make yourself one and join me at our own Algonquin Round Table, the spirit of Dorothy Parker abides.
Happy Sunday, dear friends! October is here! Football, World Series, decorating for Halloween and, of course, feasting on all levels. Today’s brunch is very much tailgate oriented with breakfast burritos and croissant breakfast sandwiches. Don’t miss the brunch board filled with mini-waffles, fresh berries and all sorts of delectable toppings. We need to keep our strength up, dears, girding our loins for the onslaught of Leftwing delusional attempts at blackpilling, October non-surprises and outright headdesk stuff like declaring the 1996 law that makes non-citizen voting a crime unConstitutional. Hey, we’ve gone from the Democrat position that non-citizen voting never happens to “yeah, sure they vote, and you can’t do a damned thing about it!”.
By the way, besides the champagne, there’s a fully stocked bar. Stronger adult beverages may be called for. So let’s get to it! L’Chaim!

Hence the explosion of “trans” children in celebrity circles. I just wish they’d go back to purse dogs and let their kids grow up normal.

Come on, people. Stop letting Lamestream media blackpill you …
Republicans risk repeating 1992 by failing to counter economic pessimism with the facts about strong growth, falling inflation, rising incomes, and a recovering economy.
In 1992, Bill Clinton won the presidential election partly on the basis of his campaign’s false accusation that George H. W. Bush had overseen “the worst economic performance since the Great Depression.” Or so claimed Clinton’s running mate Al Gore. (snip)
Despite overwrought claims about a recession or even a new Great Depression, in truth, the recession had ended in March 1991. In fact, final GDP growth for 1992 was a robust 3.52 percent. That was hardly a recessionary indicator. Indeed, the election-year growth proved even stronger than in Clinton’s first year of governance in 1993.
Fact remains, the Trump admin may not have given you everything you wanted (while under 24/7 assault from every major institution including rogue justices of the Left) but a Democrat government will take back all the advances and then some.

Nothing organic about the Muslim Socialist Ugandan now running NYC.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s inner circle is plotting a string of coordinated smears on top New York CEOs, deploying the hard-left Hizzoner’s 200-strong “influencer army” to bash Big Apple business leaders and drum up support for his tax-and-spend agenda, The Post has learned.
Two sources briefed on the matter said Mamdani’s closest City Hall advisers — known as the bullpen, a reference to the open-plan war room where the mayor and his top aides sit desk-to-desk to plan political hits — are looking to target senior executives with their taxpayer-funded troll farm just months after an ugly spat with Citadel founder Ken Griffin. (snip)
The operation, coordinated on Democratic Socialists of America Signal groups, aims to systematically tear down bigwigs as the mayor tries to close a fiscal gap that is projected to balloon to $13.2 billion by fiscal year 2028, according to the Citizens Budget Commission, a nonpartisan fiscal monitor.
Mamdani is desperately trying to raise extra revenue to close the black hole in New York’s finances, including a 2-percentage-point hike for earners making over $1 million.
Commies gonna commie.

At first, Jean-Pierre did not understand.
He watched the evening news, paid his taxes, voted responsibly and believed what respectable people told him.

Pull quote: “What had happened to his daughter was monstrous, but the truly frightening possibility, apparently, was that somebody somewhere might vote for the wrong party because of it.”
Which, my dears, pretty much covers much of the emo-left-of-center with their luxury beliefs. Oh, IKYMI.

We didn’t get any snow at our elevation last year, to the great disappointment of our sable coat GSD. She absolutely adores to roll, dig and fling it around with all abandon.

Being at the right place at the right time …
Matthew Clark had already completed his own flight when he heard over the radio that 75-year-old Stephen Parson had crashed his hang glider into a tree on Mount Prevost in British Columbia’s Cowichan Valley.
Parson was hanging in his harness about 200 feet below the top of the 2,585-foot mountain, and his situation was becoming increasingly dangerous. (snip)
The 24-year-old had more than four years of rock-climbing and free-soloing experience, but he had no climbing gear with him. That didn’t stop him.
“I was comfortable and in my element and I went for it,” Clark said.
He climbed up the narrow, slippery gully by using his body to brace himself between the rock walls, eventually reaching Parson and cutting him out of his harness with a knife.
Clark then dragged the injured man to a safer location, treated his serious knee wound and kept him warm while they waited for rescuers.
Bravo, Matthew! What could have been a tragedy becomes a story of heroism. Something we all need to celebrate.
