Partisan Hack Pelosi Dismisses Innocent Until Proven Guilty

Calling Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (Dingbat-CA) a partisan hack is like calling snow cold. This Sunday on Face the Nation, San Fran Nan jumped the shark. Pelosi completely dismissed 300 years of common law and the theory of due process in the Fourteenth Amendment in the U.S. Constitution. In her view, President Donald Trump is guilty until he proves his innocence.

I checked Nancy Pelosi’s biography (No, partisan hack isn’t there.). While she does have a degree in Political Science, she never attended law school. She has, however, been a lawmaker since 1920 1987. One might think that three decades of being in the halls of Congress, where you can’t swing a plastic surgeon’s gown without hitting a lawyer, that she might have heard something about common law. I have come to the conclusion that Mrs. Pelosi is not only a partisan hack; she is stupid with a capital STOOP. She is intellectually vacuous and interested only in power.

The Speaker got the soft treatment on Face the Nation, no push back. From Politico, here she is:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she and House impeachment investigators “look forward” to seeing any information that would demonstrate President Donald Trump’s innocence.

“That remains,” the California Democrat said in an interview aired Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” when asked by host Margaret Brennan whether she had seen any information that clears Trump of any wrongdoing in the Ukraine scandal.

“If he has information that is exculpatory … then we look forward to seeing it,” Pelosi added.

Oh, Nan! Donald Trump doesn’t have to prove his innocence. You and your partisan thugs on the Left have to prove that the President is guilty of “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors”. Beating Hillary Clinton, becoming President, and exposing the corruption of the Swamp don’t count.

Speaker Pelosi said pretty much the same thing two days before, when she “expertly trolled” President Trump, according to the Daily Kos. Here’s the video:

Nancy couldn’t get a spark if she rubbed two brain cells together, and she’s going to explain “exculpatory” to the President? By the way, Nancy, honey, Poligrip.

And then there is this from a USA Today article:

When asked about her statement Thursday that Trump appeared to have committed “bribery,” Pelosi explained she was translating the Latin phrase, “quid pro quo,” which has often been used in the case.

“I was translating from the Latin,” she said. “That was in the context of E Pluribus Unum. For many, one. And so I said for many, one. Quid pro quo. Bribery.”

What the heck does that word salad even mean? And doesn’t E Pluribus Unum mean “out of” or “from many one”? Other than the fact that one is a legal term and the other is on our money, the only thing these two have in common is that they are both Latin. Not one of the geniuses in the press pool there said, “Whatchu talkin’ bout, Nan?”

There is more than enough evidence to pronounce Nancy a partisan hack trying to overturn a Presidential election. Good luck with that, Nan.

Sadly, partisan hacks are found in every political party. They always suck the oxygen out of the room … on the right are Nunes, Jordan, and Gohmert to name a few and on the left are … I’m sure you think all 233 house Democrats currently serving in the House are hacks. Extreme partisan hacks, in my opinion, are the result of gerrymandering. Creating “safe” districts (for both Democratic and Republican nominees) only allows those districts to elect the most extreme examples. They know whatever they say or do they’ll not get voted out of office. Of course, there are areas no matter how the district is drawn, it will always generally go to one party. Use my district in Portland, Oregon. No matter how the district is drawn a Democrat will get elected due to the liberal/progressive ideology of the electorate concentrated in that area.

My only other comment is your reference to “drain the swamp.” I don’t think we’ve seen in our lifetime (or maybe ever) the number of people associated with a president being indicted or convicted of crimes than those people associated with Mr. Trump. It’s truly mind boggling and it should disturb every American.

Oh Kevin – No, I do not think that all of the Dems are hacks. As far as Trump associates being accused and/or convicted, I truly believe that Cohen deserved to go to jail because he is a lying sack of shit. Manafort, Flynn, and Papadopoulos were screwed over.

You don’t know me. I am an absurdist. Don’t ever presume that you know what I think. I hate people.

So what about pointing out truth in the impeachment hearings turns those three into ‘political hacks’? Actually calling democrats in these impeachment hearing on their lies and BS instead of laying their game and accepting their illegitimate precepts?

Innocent until proven guilty ? What about your 8 years of birther lies ? “Obama is a Kenyan born Muslim and a member of the Muslim Brotherhood” ? “Hillary killed those 4 in Benghazi” ? Seems you righties like to scream false charges against Democrats and FOX, Breitbart, and Sinclair repeat them on the air, but when a sexually assaulted woman tells the truth, you call her a liar.

    • Toni Williams says:

President Obama is Hawaiian born. I never questions anyone’s faith, as I cannot his heart. The entire Obama administration is guilty of the deaths of the four men in Benghazi and besmirching the survivors. I have never called Juanita Broaddrick, a survivor of sexual assault by President Clinton, a liar. I believe her every word.

Having grown up blue collar Dem and watching the bastardization of the party that started in the 60s, I can categorically say they ARE power mongering hacks of the worst kind and useless to humanity. I’ll also say the Repubs are not much better especially in the last ten years. The only time they show any gumption anymore is at election time. What we need are statesmen rather than the political garbage of today who are only looking out for themselves.

We need fewer lawyers and far less nepotism.

Good point. It seems as if having a JD is a prerequisite for employment in D.C. You can’t toss a turd without hitting a lawyer. They just really really complicate the simplest of things.

Our “two party” system is a mess. Everyone comes with such baggage and is beholden to so many special interests. My “general” political make-up is a fiscal conservative who is socially liberal. Yes, I think those two qualities can be compatible.

And … generally … I don’t hate people. I am very distrustful and always skeptical when others tell me “facts.” I have to see, touch and smell it before I believe it. (It comes from my upbringing and also from professionally working with homeless populations.)

        • Hate_me says:

Not sure what lessons you really learned working with the homeless, if you still feel the need to touch and smell everything…

Joking aside, “socially liberal” is a pretty broad concept, enough so as to be meaningless without qualifiers. Some forms can work very well with fiscal conservatism, in practice (though I might argue they are never aligned in principle), while other versions are completely incompatible.

Singularly appropriate on a NUMBER of levels…
