At the same time the 500 page OIG report was released, the New York Times published an editorial written by none other than former FBI Director James Comey. Quite frankly, I started laughing as soon as I saw the title.
James Comey: This Report Says I Was Wrong. But That’s Good for the F.B.I.
Just for fun, let’s take a walk through Comey’s prose shall we?
He acknowledges the report’s conclusions that found, in Comey’s words, that he was wrong to announce the FBI’s completion of the Hillary email investigation and he was also wrong in going to Congress in October and telling the world that the Hillary email investigation was reopened. After a tepid wave at the inspector general’s work and professionalism, Comey then announces that there are two reasons why this report is so important.
First, the inspector general’s team went through the F.B.I.’s work with a microscope and found no evidence that bias or improper motivation affected the investigation, which I know was done competently, honestly and independently. [Emphasis added]
Excuse me but … HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Gasp Wheeze HAHAHAHAHA!!
There was bias ALL OVER THE DAMNED PLACE!! Heck, Toni wrote about the biased juvenile pettiness here. Five separate FBI agents sent hundreds of anti-Trump texts, texts discussing their support of Hillary Clinton WHILE investigating her, and more.
Strzok texted Page about an “insurance policy” against a Trump victory, then excused it by saying he was just pushing for a quicker investigation; another FBI attorney texted, “Vive le resistance” after the election; after the election, Strzok texted regarding the special counsel investigation, “For me, and this case, I personally have a sense of unfinished business.”
But Jimmy says no bias, so move along peeps, nothing to see here. Except that even HIS bias was showing when he drafted a memo exonerating Hillary when they hadn’t even interviewed her yet! In the editorial Comey states his July 2016 announcement regarding Hillary was in the interest of being transparent.
I guess that’s what is called ‘unbiased’ transparency these days.
It’s laughable that Comey is claiming transparency when the report found the following:
Comey admitted that he concealed his intentions from the Department until the morning of his press conference on July 5 and instructed his staff to do the same, to make it impracticable for Department leadership to prevent him from delivering his statement. We found that it was extraordinary and insubordinate for Comey to do so, and we found none of his reasons to be a persuasive basis for deviating from well-established Department policies in a way intentionally designed to avoid supervision by Department leadership over his actions.
That’s … blunt. But Comey wants us to ignore that. In his editorial he states that an announcement by Loretta Lynch would’ve corroded public faith in the investigations and our justice department. Yes, that’s funny. Meanwhile he’s trying to run Loretta Lynch under the bus, when it was COMEY who was found to be insubordinate, had deviated from all protocols, and concealed his intentions. Transparency and honesty my Aunt Fanny.
For someone who is touting how agonizing the whole process of investigating Hillary was and how facts are such stubborn things, this bit in the report is jaw-dropping.
According to the IG, Comey claimed that he didn't know Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin were married when he was told about the 347,000 Clinton-related e-mails discovered on Weiner's laptop in September 2016. https://t.co/4ERsrp4iga pic.twitter.com/apK1ThANWs

Everyone in the freaking WORLD knew that Huma was married to Weiner!
Here are two other jaw-dropping pieces of info from the report.
Andrew McCabe repeatedly involved himself in the Clinton Foundation investigation even after he was forced to recuse himself from it. The IG also found that the FBI refused to inform Congress of McCabe's eventual recusal. https://t.co/4ERsrp4iga pic.twitter.com/sKtfFQnd8f

The inspector general found that the FBI was a virtual sieve when it came to media leaks. More troubling is the finding that FBI employees were regularly bought off by reporters with meals, event tickets, golf outings, and private social invitations. https://t.co/4ERsrp4iga pic.twitter.com/3RA8gsO9lT

And then there is this:
Obama knew about Hillary's secret e-mail scheme, because she e-mailed him using her private address "while in the territory of a foreign adversary." That finding was removed from Comey's statement exonerating Clinton. pic.twitter.com/vlrYvWqt9f

James Comey wants this report to ‘rebuild the reservoir of trust and credibility’ needed to for everyone in the DOJ and the FBI to be able to stay strong and independent. He says:
Our nation’s institutions of justice are up to the task of protecting the rule of law and defending truth and transparency. All of us should stand up and support them.
Ummm sure! Problem is, this report is NOT good for the agency as Comey claims. You see, for all his claims of ‘transparency and honesty;’ the fact is, the swamp polluted the FBI and James Comey was chief polluter.
Sessions needs to do his damn job, and ensure that everyone involved in this is fired and charged appropriately!
So the question is, does slime know it’s slime? Apparently not in Comey’s case. Even Hillary doesn’t realize she’s an evil person.
Comey may not be smart enough to know it, but Hitlery damn sure does, she just thinks we’re all too stupid to figure it out..
