Obama Coming To White House For Obamacare Party
Obama Coming To White House For Obamacare Party
Just how desperate is the Biden administration to relive “the good old days”? Enter Barack Obama!
Yes, the former president, who could not be bothered to endorse his own former vice president until Biden was the only candidate left, the guy who once said “don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*ck things up,” is going to try and save Senile Old Joe again (because the last time went OH SO WELL) and have a ten year Obamacare reunion party at the White House this coming Tuesday.
Oh my, I can barely stand the excitement.
The celebration of the 2010 health care overhaul will be their first joint appearance since they attended events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks at Ground Zero in New York last fall, the official said.”
Vice President Kamala Harris will join them in delivering remarks about the expansion of health care benefits under the law, as well as Biden’s efforts to further reduce health care costs and expand access to care, the official added.”
Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and other members of the Cabinet, which includes a number of people who served in the Obama administration, are also expected to attend.”
Yay, Kamala Harris is going to speak! Can she top her latest serving of word salad? Every time you don’t think she can, she does! And thank you, NBC, for reminding us about just how many Obama retreads made their way into the Biden administration! It’s pretty clear that Obama, Mr. Ego, would like a victory lap for the tenth “anniversary” of Obamacare. Team Biden, desperate to recast themselves as Obama’s third term, instead of Jimmy Carter’s second term, is more than happy to oblige – even though they did a video pushing Obamacare just last June.
But sometimes, irony just turns around and gives us all a gift. This time, it came in the form of a tweet from David Axelrod. Axelrod was one of Obama’s senior advisors, who turned his political career in the White House into a commentator gig on CNN (Jen Psaki is no outlier, people). Well, right on the verge of this ten year party celebrating the sheer awesomeness of Obamacare, Axelrod sent this tweet.
I've been taking an RX for a chronic condition for years. This week, I learned my insurance no longer covers it. Now the cost is $639-a-month! How many people can afford that?
"Your money or your life" is a hell of choice that people shouldn't have to face.

Let’s just say that there were plenty of people willing to point out the irony to Axelrod.
Back when you were working for Obama, you said that canceling my plan and doubling my premiums would fix that. I care just as much about your situation as you cared about mine. https://t.co/Du1piXDGW5

Ah yes, the good old days of the Politifact “Lie of the Year” in 2013, when Obama told people that if they liked their doctor, or their health care plan, they could keep it. Axelrod should count himself fortunate that he can afford his medication, even without the insurance coverage, AND that he managed to have that medication on his insurance plan for almost ten years after Obamacare passed. Many others are not so fortunate. Which means that AOC, that absolute genius, had to get her “Medicare For All” pitch in. Because what’s going to fix a broken government healthcare program? EVEN MORE GOVERNMENT CONTROL! (Insert a Howard Dean yell here!)
And Axelrod, because he’s a committed leftist, agreed with the democratic socialist.
I agree on Medicare for All. And if you can pass it, congresswoman, please do! But if you can't, do what you can right now to help reduce RX/medical costs & continue to strengthen ACA, which has made coverage possible for 10s of millions-including people w/pre-ex conditions. https://t.co/UNqEUoLvuL

AOC? DO something? Oh dear, Mr. Axelrod, I believe you have mistaken the congresswoman for someone who actually works for a living. You see, AOC is a platitude generator for Twitter. She doesn’t actually DO any work, like proposing legislation that actually gets worked on. This is actually a GOOD thing for the country at large, by the way. If “Medicare For All” DID actually pass, we would be promptly buried under a tax structure that really would kill the economy.
Is that what Obama is coming back to celebrate at the White House? That he only broke the healthcare system, but didn’t pass a “Medicare For All” that truly would have sunk us? Nope. Obama is coming back because this celebration is all about HIM, and what HE did while in the White House. Biden, as always, is just happy to ride Obama’s coattails. And the former Obama staffers and the media (but I repeat myself) will get to have one special day to pretend that Obama is still in charge… before having to make sure Joe’s pudding is at just the right temperature before bedtime, like usual.
