In a move no one expected, Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand announced her resignation.
Jacinda Ardern has choked back tears as she announced her resignation as New Zealand Prime Minister in an emotional press conference.
Her resignation comes into effect on Sunday if the Labour Party can elect her replacement in a two-thirds vote on that day, or on February 7 if the process was drawn out.
Ms Ardern said she hoped to find the energy and heart during the Christmas break to stay in the job, ‘but I have not been able to do that’.
Ardern was facing a major re-election campaign. One she won handily in late 2020. Which still boggles the mind given even in 2020 it was clear the New Zealand lockdowns were amongst the most onerous in the world. So much so that New Zealand citizens weren’t allowed back into the country unless they served weeks of quarantine, vaccinations, and more.
In her speech, Jacinda wanted everyone to know that she has done her best to “be kind” throughout her tenure as Prime Minister. To be sure, kindness matters when a deranged mental patient guns down people at Christchurch, and having to deal with a volcano eruption. Except that she launched major gun grabs. And then, Covid came along and her true colors came out.
Jacinda Ardern resigns. Goodbye to her Orwellian rhetoric.

Jacinda Ardern, a compliant government, and for some reason a mostly compliant citizenship decided a total and utter lockdown was the only way to go. So much so that even TAKE OUT wasn’t allowed! Nope, you weren’t allowed to order a meal, and get it through a drive up window or have the waiter/waitress deliver it to the trunk of your car. Which, presumably meant that grocery stores were prohibited from delivering groceries to one’s car trunk? Not only that, but she put the country on lockdown at least once if not multiple times regarding just ONE case of Covid. ONE.
Dear @jacindaardern. In this interview, you divided vaccinated and unvaccinated into different classes of people and justified the scandalous deprivation of fundamental rights for those who decided to not get the shot. Don't you think it's about time to resign? Oh wait… pic.twitter.com/3UVOhPFWOE

In December, doctors were talking about Covid in that, people (tourists) need to learn how to drive properly otherwise, the hospitals suffer.
“There’s going to be a lot of trouble around the country,” Li Hsee, consultant trauma and acute care Surgeon at Auckland City Hospital, told Checkpoint on Monday.
“Our worry is that there is going to be an increase in the number of road traffic crashes over the summertime. Our borders are open, there’s going to be more tourists around and people may not be familiar with our road code.
But isn’t that kind of asinine warning that New Zealander’s need to be worried about? Nope. How about the terrible encroachment on their own ability to live their lives? Or that of a baby needing surgery?
New Zealand’s government health service has applied to remove guardianship of a 4-month-old baby boy from his parents after they demanded that his life-saving surgery can proceed only with blood that does not contain the COVID-19 vaccine.
Keep in mind, New Zealand along with China endured one of the most draconian lockdown polices the world has dealt with. When the initial lockdown was lifted, Jacinda did a little dance. WHEEE!! And then a Covid case showed up, Lockdown again!
Just last year, she embarked on a world tour meeting with the likes of Justin Trudeau and Joe Biden, and telling the world from the U.N. podium that free speech on the internet is actually a weapon of war. Mere days after that fun-filled political fete and festival, guess what happened?
Remember, the world shut down in early March, 2020. When did New Zealand open the country back up to tourists? July of 2022. What did Jacinda do after that? Jaunt over to the United States and lecture us on gun control, and then end up with Covid.
Perhaps she should’ve been paying attention to the underground rumblings that were getting louder and louder. New Zealand’s economy is agriculture, wine (really awesome Sauvignon Blancs!) and tourism. Tourism was stopped COLD for over 2 1/2 years because of Ardern’s draconian reaction to Covid. In fact, the country didn’t open back up to tourism until October 2022.
Did she put resources into building up the hospital capabilities across the country? Not as much as one would’ve thought.
The government’s decision will add 75 new standard inpatient beds and will see conversion of 355 existing inpatient beds to isolation or negative-pressure environments.
As part of this initiative, 23 new intensive care units (ICU) and high dependency units (HDU) beds will be created, and eight temporary beds will be converted to ICU, with ventilation upgrades also planned across several hospitals.
Ardern’s zero Covid policies led to a cratered economy. Is it any wonder that New Zealanders have had enough?

Jacinda Ardern certainly made her mark as a “kind” totalitarian. For their sake, let’s hope the Kiwis choose more wisely next time.

“New Zealand’s economy is agriculture…”
Yet this socialist fool was prepared to levy a methane tax on every head of farmed livestock in NZ and thus damage the prime driver of the NZ economy.
Ardern:
The “human” face of true “socialism”?
She’s still a parasite commie breathing the air that people need to be free!
Here’s the takeaway that Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern could teach American politicians … know when it’s time to step down and let new leadership take the reins. Our “leaders” (if that’s what you can call them) attempt to remain in power until their dying breath. I’ll even toss Biden into that mix. Two 80+ year old dried up raisins (one a lunatic that lies more than George Santos and the other who struggles to remember where he parked his corvette) fighting for their political lives. It’s over, move on. Ms. Ardern had the backbone, fortitude, respect, intelligence to say, “I’m done. Thank you for your trust in me and now I must move on.”
Hell will freeze over before a US politician does that. Well, the excuse, “I want to spend more time with my family” has come to mean “I’m being investigated and will flame out like an asteroid hurling through the galaxy and do want to be shamed and humiliated in public.” US politicians routinely “end up spending more time with their family.” I feel sorry for their families.
