New Hunter Spin: Sold Only The “Illusion Of Access”

The brand spanking new spin got spun up bigly yesterday after Devon Archer’s testimony. All Hunter was doing was talking about the weather and selling the “illusion of access.”

Yes, the fallout from Devon Archer’s testimony was so damaging that Democrats and media scrambled madly to figure out how to spin the damage.

Democrats and Republicans are offering clashing interpretations of the significance of former Hunter Biden business associate Devon Archer’s closed-door testimony, which lawmakers said included assertions that Hunter Biden was selling the “illusion of access” to his father and that Hunter Biden sometimes put President Biden on speakerphone to talk to his business associates.

How badly…and weirdly are the Democrats and media spinning? So badly it’s almost comical. One of the defenses they are offering is that all the discussions Hunter and his potential business partners had with Joe on the phone was just chit chat about the weather. Yes really, the weather.

Hunter Biden was selling access, not weather. The fact that Dan Goldman went there shows how desperate they are and how stupid they think WE are.

The New York Times bravely wrote an article about Devon Archer’s testimony. They used a very nice headline and 22 paragraphs of words to try and convince their readership that all of this was just part of the Biden brand and Hunter was using the “illusion of access” to close his own deals

President Biden met with and spoke to his son Hunter’s international business associates on a number of occasions over a decade as Hunter Biden sought to drum up consulting deals, including while his father was vice president, his former business partner told Congress on Monday.

However, in nearly five hours of closed-door testimony to the House Oversight Committee, Devon Archer, the former partner, asserted that the elder Mr. Biden was not party to any of his son’s business deals and that Hunter Biden had tried to sell the illusion that he was providing access to his powerful father when he was not, according to Democrats on the panel.

Amazing that the NY Times wrote that first paragraph and published it! Keep in mind, Joe Biden has insisted for YEARS that he never took part in, nor did he ever speak to his son or his son’s business partners.

OOPSIE! Even The New York Times had to admit Joe lied! But they buried that little gem WAY down to paragraph 20.

It has long been known that the elder Mr. Biden at times interacted with his son’s business partners.

Oh, so it was more than an illusion and definitely more than chit chatting about the weather! It was about the Biden BRAND.

Former Hunter Biden business partner Devon Archer told Congress Monday that Hunter referred to President Biden as “my guy” while connecting his dad to foreign associates nearly two dozen times — as Republicans move closer to starting an impeachment inquiry.

Archer said during a four-hour House Oversight Committee interview that Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings paid Hunter up to $1 million per year to serve on its board because of his family’s “brand.”

Remember Burisma? We’ve written time and again about all the shady dealings involving Hunter, Tony Bobulinski’s testimony about such, and Joe’s bragging that he got a certain prosecutor fired.

Somewhere in the time span of those 20 perfect phone calls, a certain Ukrainian prosecutor got fired, and then Joe bragged about it. That’s a great deal more than the innocuous “illusion of access” we are now being told Hunter was peddling.

Oh but wait, there’s more. Some of those phone calls were just a father and son grieving over Beau’s death!

Dan Goldman is trying to outdo Adam Schiff here and it’s really not a good look!

That said, it’s obvious that Devon Archer’s testimony was devastating for the Biden family brand. You see, it wasn’t the “illusion of access” it was ACCESS period. It. The fact that Hunter could just speed dial his dad anytime he needed to and Joe would answer was a huge selling point.

Hunter Biden told his longtime business partner Devon Archer in 2011 that a Chinese mogul who secured the duo a multimillion-dollar deal loved him for his “last name” and the troupe of “very handsome Aryan godlike men” he brought with him everywhere, emails from the first son’s abandoned laptop reveal.

“Your question- ‘why does Super Chair love me so much?’ is easily answered. It has nothing to do with me and everything to do with my last name,” the younger Biden wrote to Archer in a Sept. 22, 2011, missive about his relationship with Chinese businessman Che Feng.

In an aside, Hunter added, “(and I bring along very handsome Aryan godlike men wherever I go).”

Ok, so he was selling access and cringe. Got it.

The fact is, Devon Archer’s testimony definitely hurt the Biden Brand. The frantic spin highlights just how bad the damage is.

” The fact that Dan Goldman went there shows how desperate they are and how stupid they think WE are. “.. Here’s the thing. Unless Goldman and those like him are thrown out on their asses, or charged with crimes, then he’s RIGHT… At least for his and the others constituents… Only VERY stupid people would want guys like that “representing” them.
