Last night, during his State of the Union Address, President Trump delivered one body blow after another to the Democrats. None showed the effects more than Nancy Pelosi. The Speaker of the House seemed to quickly forget there were cameras focused on her. Instead of at least giving the appearance of listening to the President’s speech, she shuffled papers, bobbed her head and made faces. She didn’t even have the grace to fall asleep like other Speakers have done before. No, she had to pitch her little fits because all her attempts to cast Trump out of the Oval Office have failed. Because of that, she did her best spoiled toddler imitation, doing everything except throwing herself on the floor, kicking and screaming.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the mainstream media is already trying to frame what happened by placing the blame on Trump. Clearly, the media knows what a fool Pelosi made of herself and it has gone into full damage control. It starts with this clip from before Trump began his speech. Look closely at what happens.

President Trump handed Vice President Pence a copy of his speech. Then he handed one to Speaker Pelosi. He was already turning around when Pelosi stuck out a hand, apparently for him to shake. Oh how the media instantly screamed Trump snubbed her. At least CNN had the decency to write he “appeared” to snub the handshake.

I don’t know about you, but it looked to me like he had turned far enough he couldn’t see her hand. But, as with everything else, it is all Trump’s fault.

However, it’s basically crickets from much of the MSM when it comes to how good ole’ Nancy introduced the President. Traditionally, Speakers of the House have said they have the “high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the President of the United States.” But that’s not what we heard from San Fran Nan. No, siree.  As the video above shows, this is how she introduced Trump:

Members of Congress, the President of the United States,” Pelosi said, introducing Trump in front of the joint session of Congress.

She’s got her panties in a twist because Trump still sits in the Oval Office and she doesn’t care who knows it. Nor does she care that she shows a disrespect for the Office of the President and not just for the man currently sitting in it. Someone should really tell her she’s too old to be acting like she’s suffering through the Terrible Twos again.

This is not a case, as some in the media would have you believe, that Trump came out too soon or that he somehow caused her to rush her introduction. No, this was San Fran Nan showing her utter disdain for not only the man sitting in the Oval Office but for the Office of the President. Strange behavior for a senior member of our government and not behavior I want my children copying.

But it gets better–or worse, depending on your point of view.

Amid the shuffling of papers and other awkward actions taken by Pelosi during the speech, you had this little slip from reality.

But all of her posturing and facial expressions and eye rolls pale when compared with what she did at the end of Trump’s speech. Dennis Miller pegs Pelosi’s behavior.

But see it for yourselves.

Notice anything strange? Pelosi wasn’t satisfied with making her point by tearing up the pages just once. She had to go in for a second act of destruction. Maybe she’s not strong enough to tear all the pages at once. Maybe she’s just a bitter old woman. (She’s not the only one, figuratively or literally, as our own Toni Williams observed last night.) Whatever the explanation, she brought shame on her office.

Pelosi's act dishonored the institution and destroyed even the pretense of civility and decorum in the House. If this is the Speaker's "drop the mike" moment, it is a disgrace that should never be celebrated or repeated. In a single act, she obliterated decades of tradition.

Turley is right. But Pelosi’s actions went further.

Speaker Pelosi just ripped up:

One of our last surviving Tuskegee Airmen.

The survival of a child born at 21 weeks.

The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller.

A service member's reunion with his family.

That's her legacy.

This is the woman who thinks she has the right to negate our votes because we dared put Trump in office. She has no respect for him or for his office. More than that, she has no respect for the American voters, at least not if they fail to fall in lockstep with her and her ilk.

Nancy dear, as my sweet mama would say, “Bless your heart. It’s time to gather your things and go home for a lie down.” In other words, your days of usefulness–if you ever had any–are over. Step aside and let Americans correct the course you’ve helped put this country on before it is too late.
