You knew it was coming the minute that President Donald Trump announced he was giving the speech on election integrity. Democrats say that the evil dictator Trump must be impeached for dropping a nuclear blast into the fiction of our secure elections. The Democrats CANNOT allow the election narratives that they have spent decades spinning to evaporate. They must use every lever of power to destroy the “Mad King”.

I watched the speech twice last night. I thought, even if Trump had videos of Democrats stealing ballots and twirling their Snidely Whiplash mustaches, there was no way that Trump would call them out. I thought five minutes after the speech was over the Dems would start screeching that the Mad King must be impeached. I was, naturally, right. From The Hill:

Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) late Thursday called on Congress to impeach President Trump after the president claimed during a primetime address that forces that stole the 2020 presidential election are still at work and threaten the integrity of the 2026 midterm elections.

Trump used words such as “rigged and stolen,” “corrupt” and “cover-up” and cited some recently declassified documents to support his alarming claims, though critics in both parties say he still failed to substantiate his central contention that U.S. elections are marred by widespread fraud.

“Trump must be impeached for undermining and subverting our free and fair elections,” Markey declared on the social platform X.

“And when he sends ICE agents to the polls, then we must turn civic action into civil disobedience and take to the streets. Sit in. Protest. Withhold our labor. Everything must be on the table,” Markey urged.

Oh, blah, blah, blah with a double order of STFU. California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) trashed President Donald Trump’s election fraud speech on Thursday as the “ramblings of a mad king” and a “legitimate 25th Amendment moment” as he accused the president of laying the groundwork to undermine this year’s midterm elections before a single ballot has been cast.

Responding after Trump delivered a speech filled with claims of election fraud, the governor dismissed the president’s remarks as detached from reality. He argued they were aimed at preserving Republican power in Congress rather than addressing legitimate concerns about voting.

“Well, the only thing missing tonight from Donald Trump’s speech was tin foil,” Newsom said. “This was a legitimate 25th Amendment moment, the ramblings of a mad king.”
