The Maine Democratic Senate debate Thursday night sounded painful. The whole field looked subpar and unqualified. Who are these people anyway? A bunch of activists and unknowns thrown in to replace Graham Platner after his scandal. But the one who really stood out for all the wrong reasons was Ashley Webb, the transgender songwriter who went viral fast.
Webb was asked what qualifies him for the United States Senate. He talked about transparency and how we would not lie to voters. As he’s standing on stage wearing a flowery dress and talking about wanting to use the women’s bathroom.
Transgender Maine Senate candidate who said he wouldn’t “deceive” voters asked for advice on dealing with his “period pain” online.

Webb complained that the trans community is being dehumanized. He said he does not want to hurt anybody and just wants to use the women’s bathroom. If they make him use the men’s room, he will, but he does not want to be assaulted. Give me a break. I have a hard time believing a man in the men’s restroom is going to assault that huge, massive dude. Women and girls are supposed to give up their privacy and safety so he can feel comfortable. Sorry, but no.
Webb proudly called himself an angry citizen who would be an angry senator. That part makes sense.
Moderators asked Webb what made him qualified to run for office. “I’ve ran for office several times,” Webb said, “didn’t win, but did run. And then I’m a songwriter, and then I write my own books. And then I suppose my transparency, I wouldn’t lie to the people, and I wouldn’t deceive the people like we’re being deceived right now. Like we get lied, smoke, smoke and mirrors, like what’s going on with ICE? Pretend, like pretending these victims did something wrong.
“Like that’s unacceptable,” Webb said. “And I suppose the biggest thing is like I’m just an angry citizen now, and if I got elected, I’d be an angry senator, and I think that would probably be their worst nightmare.” – The Post Millennial
So he wouldn’t lie to people as he stands on stage wearing a dress, and he would be an angry Senator and our worst nightmare.
Yep, we’ve all seen what angry trans people will do.
People are calling this gender dysphoria, but my spidey senses are telling me it looks more like autogynephilia. The idea that for some men this is driven more by a sexual fetish than genuine dysphoria makes a lot more sense to me. When a man spends too much time on porn, stops taking care of himself, and struggles to connect with real women, it can sometimes lead down this path. I’m not a doctor, of course, but that’s how it feels to me. Webb may or may not have true gender dysphoria; I personally don’t believe it. This looks like fetish behavior, and we should call it what it is. But I digress.
The media is almost portraying Webb as a sympathetic character. That we should feel compassion and feel sorry for him. Mental health struggles are real, but that doesn’t mean we hand him a Senate seat or let him rewrite rules for everyone else. I will not soften on this.
Link Lauren sums it up nicely for me here in this video.
The internet had fun with all sorts of clips from Ashley Webb’s debate performance. It’s not gone unnoticed how a lot of people comparing Webb’s looks to the late great Meat Loaf. Quick note to my fellow conservatives: ease up o the Meat Loaf jokes. That man could actually sing and gave us some of the best rock anthems ever. Let the legend rest in peace.
This whole thing shows how far the Democratic Party has fallen. If they aren’t pushing full-blown communism, then they are putting personal fetishes ahead of competence and seriousness.
American women are tired of this. We are tired of being told our concerns about bathrooms, locker rooms, and safety are hateful. We are tired of watching important jobs turned into costume parties.
Susan Collins has to be smiling right now. If this is the best the Democrats can do in Maine, Republicans should feel very good about holding that seat. However, we’ve seen stranger things happen in politics, so nobody should get too comfy just yet.
At the end of the day, this race is a perfect example of how disconnected the modern Democratic Party has become. Mainers deserve competent candidates not angry activists pushing personal fantasies.

Who would vote for a trannie…a person suffering from mental illness? Oh, right….a liberal looney would!
