It’s like they just can’t quit — despite having had access to the truth, leftists are still pushing lies about Kyle Rittenhouse. And with his acquittal on all charges on Friday, they’ve ramped up their rage machine to eleventy.

It didn’t take long for them to start the smear campaign after the Kenosha incidents of August, 2020. CNN had quickly declared Rittenhouse guilty and his “victims” as innocents in their headlines:

“Anthony Huber, 26, was among the victims killed in the shooting at a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin. His girlfriend said he launched at the armed individual to protect her and the people nearby. “He did a heroic thing,” she said.” 

The video, however, proves that this was complete bullshit. Did CNN investigate? Of course not.

Then, after President Trump spoke about Kenosha, saying it appeared to him that Kyle Rittenhouse defended himself, the Associated Press and Politifact called the President a liar. Because Trump of course. Never mind that the easily obtained video clearly showed Rittenhouse shooting in defense. Who ya gonna believe — Politifact or your lying eyes?

The examples of leftists smearing Rittenhouse are too numerous to list here, but no one does vile racism and rage like JoyAnn Reid at MSNBC. After the jury found Rittenhouse not guilty of all charges, she wrote at her blog that the trial was rigged by white supremacists or something:

“Kyle Rittenhouse trial was designed to protect white conservatives who kill.” 

Also on MSNBC on the evening of the acquittal, two activists claimed that the verdict showed how “white supremacy maintains its cover.” They also said that Rittenhouse “deputized himself,” as well as crossed state lines (again with the state lines) to “intimidate,” and “terrorize.” One of the women, Rutgers professor Brittney Cooper, also declared that “white self-defense trumps everybody else’s sense of safety and protection.” Meanwhile, host Ari Melber just nodded in agreement.

In case you were wondering, Cooper teaches Women’s and Gender Studies, along with Africana Studies. She certainly knows nothing about law.

However, it wasn’t just big media who persisted in smearing Rittenhouse with falsehoods. Here’s NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio spewing the accusation that Rittenhouse took a gun over state lines to shoot people:

Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum are victims. They should be alive today.

The only reason they’re not is because a violent, dangerous man chose to take a gun across state lines and start shooting people.

NY Rep. Jerrold Nadler echoed De Blasio. He also wants the Department of Justice to conduct a federal review. Because reasons:

“This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ. Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protest.”

Hannah Jones also spun the gun-over-state-line yarn. You remember Jones, don’t you? She created The 1619 Project, which is itself full of historic inaccuracies.

Failed NFL player Colin Kaepernick also weighed in by pushing the fabrication that Rittenhouse is a white supremacist. Because crying racism is what Kaepernick does best —  it sure isn’t being a quarterback:

We just witnessed a system built on white supremacy validate the terroristic acts of a white supremacist.

This only further validates the need to abolish our current system. White supremacy cannot be reformed.

Now Kyle Rittenhouse may be free, but where does he go to get his good name back, now that leftists have smeared it so badly it may be irreparable?

Well, Glenn Beck has thoughts:

While Glenn Beck may have been introspective in his Twitter message, Matt Walsh went right for the jugular:

I hope Rittenhouse bankrupts all of you dirtbags in media who smeared him as a white supremacist. I hope he ruins your life. I want you to suffer. It’s what you deserve. It’s justice.

Yassss! 

And guess who else agrees with suing the pants off leftists and the media (but I repeat myself)? Nicholas Sandmann, the Covington Catholic school kid whom the media dragged through the dirt two years ago.

Writing at the Daily Mail, Sandmann warned Kyle Rittenhouse that winning a defamation case is a tall order. And not only are the odds stacked against you, it’s a long slog through the courts, too.

But he also told him that he would be there for him:

“At this time I would like to use my platform to let Kyle know that I am here for you and if you ever would like to reach out to me, I am about the only person our age to have an idea of how the media is treating you. The way the media has treated you is terrible, and you don’t have to face it alone.”

It’s easy for us to cheer for Kyle Rittenhouse filing a lawsuit against the leftist smear machine. After all, as my husband says, “Nothing is impossible for him who doesn’t have to do it.” But it’s also a good time for the Little Guy to stand up to the media and political elites, and yell no more!
