Look out, unaccompanied minors coming across the southern border. Kamala Harris is now in charge of you.

… the Biden administration – oh wait, sorry, the BIDEN-HARRIS administration – is being forced to reckon with the mess they have made of the U.S.-Mexico border. And yes, it’s THEIR mess. Who says so? Um, the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, says so.

Oops. I guess President AMLO didn’t get his talking points straight.

As a result of THEIR mess, Kamala Harris was forced into admitting this morning what we all knew – this is a full-blown crisis.

Speaking to “CBS This Morning,” the vice president made the comments after being asked about the worsening migrant crisis at the border, saying, “Well, okay, look, it’s a huge problem. I’m not gonna pretend it’s not, it’s a huge problem.”

“Are we looking at overcrowding at the border, particularly these kids? Yes. Should these kids be in the custody of HHS, the Health and Human Services, instead of the Border Patrol? Yes. Should we be processing these cases faster? Yes,” she told the morning show.”

“This is, however, not going to be solved overnight,” she continued.”

How convenient that it’s now a crisis after pictures showing the current conditions have appeared in the media. Which is exactly why the BIDEN-HARRIS administration wasn’t letting the press get in there at all. After all, who are you gonna believe – Grandpa Joe or your own lying eyes?

Well, the pictures are out, and despite all the administration’s efforts, no one is actually buying that the Bad Orange Man is to blame for this. Which means that Joe Biden is forced to acknowledge it and send someone to deal with it.

And who better to deal with minors breaking the law than Kamala Harris?

Biden announced the move on Wednesday from the White House after meeting with Harris, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and several other immigration advisers.”

“I have asked her, the VP, today, because she is the most qualified person to do it, to lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle and the countries that are going to need help in stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border,” Biden said.”

A White House official said Harris’s work will run along two tracks — first to address the swell of migrants at the southern border, and second to build long-term partnerships with the Central American countries the people are fleeing.”

“She’ll work first on the goal of stemming the flow of irregular migrants to the U.S. … but at the same time, the real goal is to establish a strategic partnership with these countries based on respect and shared values,” the official said.”

Also, notice the end of the clip where White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain gets Biden off the hook by ending the presser without any questions from the media? After such a major announcement, the press certainly HAD questions. Why no questions for the president, or the vice-president, with such an important issue on the table? Yes, yes, we all know why. Biden is a ficus tree, and Kamala Harris is apparently the one getting to wear the pants in the White House. Well, Kamala Harris, Ron Klain, and Jen Psaki. Poor Jill Biden. Joe told everyone that she was going to work on the border problems back in January. I wonder why things changed? Oh, that press conference tomorrow is going to be interesting, isn’t it?

And as for Biden calling Kamala Harris the “most qualified person” to handle the southern border… well, this is the same man that called Hunter Biden “the smartest guy I know,” so take his praise of Harris with a full cup of salt. However, Kamala Harris certainly has a whole lot of experience with making sure illegal minors are locked up, so, perhaps, just maybe, Joe Biden is correct.

Of course, the BIDEN-HARRIS administration’s actual goal is fairly clear – get these unaccompanied minors out of lockup as fast as possible and into whatever new government-run shelter they can set up for them. Is the media willing to make Joe Biden and Kamala Harris own whatever disasters happen next, thanks to the overcrowding, the huge numbers, the terrible messaging, and COVID-19? We shall see what questions get asked by the press tomorrow, especially since they weren’t allowed to ask any questions today.
