Finally, a Democrat said the quiet part out loud about the SAVE Act. As we’ve noted several times before, the SAVE Act is quite simple. It essentially requires all U.S. citizens to provide documented proof in order to cast a vote in any election. Democrats have been in a constant state of uproar over this, as are some Republicans.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is facing a major test on Monday as the House returns to Washington amid threats from GOP hard-liners to paralyze the chamber until the Senate passes the SAVE America Act and codifies President Donald Trump’s border policies.
Republican leadership was forced to scrap votes and send lawmakers home for a week at the end of June because of the conservative blockade. Overall, 13 GOP rebels blocked legislation from coming to the floor unless Johnson caved to their demands, which include attaching the SAVE America Act to the must-pass National Defense Authorization Act and codifying Trump’s deportation agenda.
Given the slim Republican majority, Johnson can only afford to lose three GOP votes on any measure before having to rely on Democrats. GOP rebels are using that fact to pressure both Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) to acquiesce.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is leading the faction demanding passage of the SAVE America Act, which requires voter ID to cast a ballot and proof of citizenship to register to vote nationwide. The House previously passed the measure, but it’s stalled in the Senate because of insufficient support to break the chamber’s 60-vote filibuster threshold.
Chuck Schumer has labeled the SAVE Act as the newest Jim Crow law, while others are essentially telling women they are too stupid to figure out how to ensure their married name won’t hinder their ability to vote. Which Elissa Slotkin stated again the other day.
This talking point from the Left is not only false, but it also paints women as incapable, which we all know is not the case.

Showing up to the polls to vote with an ID that proves you’re an American citizen – whether you’re married or not – is common sense. We need to pass the… https://t.co/pWJbU2Hv5a
Isn’t that so cute of her? Thanks ever so much for girl-splaining to us.
Democrat Elissa Slotkin suggests women in Michigan are too scared of their husbands to have their own opinions:

"We know of…women who literally told their husband 'I'm going off to book club,' and they would come and volunteer at our campaign." pic.twitter.com/KXjkSIcZ2h
How very ….condescending of her. And yeah, that didn’t happen anywhere on anyone’s Venn diagram.
The Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot with all their in-fighting on this.
Fourteen House Republicans took down a procedural measure to attach the SAVE America Act to the the $1.15 trillion defense spending bill.
The procedural rule vote failed 224-198. Reps. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Chip Roy (R-TX) led the charge to defeat the rule vote, which included 12 other GOP members. House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) voted “no” to allow for a procedural loophole to bring the vote back up for consideration at a later time without referring the measure to the House Rules Committee.
“I’m saying, ‘I will vote for the rule if you allow my amendment for voter ID plus proof of citizenship to be placed into the text of the NDAA,’” Luna told reporters after the vote failed. “They’re saying they won’t, so now that you saw what happened.”
What they SHOULD be paying attention to is the fact that the polls show Americans are overwhelmingly in support of the SAVE Act. What they really need to pay attention to is the shrill Democrats suddenly saying the very quiet part out loud.
Democrat Senator Elissa Slotkin: “The SAVE America Act would make it hard for any Democrat in any state to win any election.” pic.twitter.com/7FeLLgxXZf

Oh yeah, Elissa went there. It wasn’t a slip of the tongue, it wasn’t a stumble. She was truthful for once. Their fight against the SAVE Act is all about the illegals who flooded into this country during the Biden Administration. They want those votes all the way up to the national level. They NEED those votes.
We've reached the point where Democrats are just admitting out loud that they rely on voter fraud and importing illegals to win every election

Without foreigners and voter fraud the Dems would not exist, they are literally the party of non-Americans https://t.co/IIYPX0SwTI
They don’t care how they get those votes, they want as many as they can get whether they are legal or not.
That is why the Democrats are so hell bent on ensuring the SAVE Act doesn’t pass. And if Republicans don’t start reading the room, growing a spine, and getting a pair … the SAVE Act will be DOA, and Democrats will win elections.
