What does every kid held in a tent city at the border need? A visit from Lena Dunham and her crew, of course!

Lena Dunham, Bella Thorne, Amber Heard, Connie Britton, and Joshua Jackson held a protest outside a child detention center in Tornillo, Texas yesterday. The group chartered a flight from Los Angeles to El Paso to make an appearance at the border town. Yep, you heard me right. They chartered a flight. They didn’t fly no stinking coach! But, oh! Those poor kids living in tents!

Have no fear, immigrant families, the celebrities have arrived on their private jet to tell you how much they care about this issue and to take a few obligatory selfies for their Insta and Twitter feeds. Throw in some 500-dollar sunglasses, a couple of hashtags, wear the same white outfits and BAM-they have solved all of the woes of humanity! I knew it all along! All we need is a few virtuous (cough) Hollywood types and all will be right with these families.

Too bad they’ll just run back to El Paso and sit their pretentious glutes on a leather seat of a private jet back to L.A. Too bad they don’t open their homes or put a child up to actually DO something about the problem. Care about a kid living in a tent or being homeless? Foster a child who came here legally. Visit a homeless shelter outside of your gated homes or a few blocks away from your brownstone in the inner city. Pay for medical bills, schooling, clothing, food. Too bad they did not care about this problem when their buddy, ol’ pal Barack was doing the same damn thing. Too bad they just don’t know when to shut up, really. I mean, does any one truly take any of them seriously? Their presence makes a mockery of these issues because these people are so far removed from all of this, they have no legitimate reason to even be opening their mouths right now. Seriously.

Riddle me this: Lena Dunham claims to care about children living in border tents but she couldn’t even care enough about her own dog that she gave away for peeing on her carpet. Now I can’t say I blame the canine for peeing on the rug but this vapid, sheltered, rich-kid-hag gave away an innocent animal because he did not fit into her lifestyle. Not to mention, this wretched excuse for a human being has so little disregard for human life, she dressed as an abortionist for Halloween! And, now…all of a sudden, she cares about kids living in tents? Perhaps she should spend some time in a tent city? Right. I won’t hold my breath for that to happen. She and her crew cannot even suck it up to fly coach to a protest! And really, with Dunham’s track record, it is probably best that she isn’t left alone with a child in a tent.
