Attorney General William Barr is appearing before Congress this week. However, instead of the budget, the main topic of conversation is the Mueller Report. Yesterday, while testifying before the House he informed us that the report, with the necessary redactions, would be released within the next week. Today he dropped a bombshell. He believes ‘spying did occur’ against Trump and campaign associates.

“Attorney General William P. Barr said Wednesday he thought “spying” on a political campaign occurred in the course of intelligence agencies’ investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election — a startling assertion by the nation’s top law enforcement official.

At a hearing before the Senate Appropriations Committee, Barr was asked about his statement a day earlier that he would review how the FBI launched its counterintelligence investigation that sought to determine whether Donald Trump’s associates were interacting with Russians during the 2016 presidential campaign.”

Can you imagine how much it pained the Washington Post to write up that bit of news? This blows a an enormous hole in the Trump! Russia! Collusion! narrative.

Notice that? After giving it a bit of thought, Barr emphatically said “I think spying did occur.” 

This is a very very big admission folks. Particularly in light of his testimony on Tuesday. And the news from Tuesday night. 

“Late Tuesday evening, news broke that Barr has assembled a team at the Justice Department to look into allegations of FISA abuse, spying for political purposes and the basis for which the Special Counsel investigation into the 2016 election was launched.

During testimony in front of a House committee Tuesday, Barr said DOJ is “reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around all the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted during the summer of 2016.“” [Emphasis Added]

The Hill’s John Solomon points out a couple of other key points regarding Barr launching an investigation into the FISA warrants.

“But Barr made clear Tuesday that his review is distinct and more far-ranging than IG Horowitz’s investigation. It goes back to the moment when a probe code-named Crossfire Hurricane was opened on July 31, 2016, by Trump-hating FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strzok.

That probe’s goal was to determine whether Trump was colluding with Russia to hijack the election. And very quickly, the FBI chose to use an opposition research project, funded by Trump rival Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party and written by British intelligence operative Christopher Steele, as key evidence — even though it was unverified at the time.” [Emphasis Added]

Remember, the Democrats want the focus to be on the Mueller Report and nothing else in hopes that Trump is bad!

The House Democrats got way more than they bargained for yesterday. Now we are told that investigations into the investigators are already under way. Which is a good thing given what folks like Bruce and Nellie Ohr did. What smarmy Peter Strzok did along with Comey covered up.

In light of Barr’s testimony yesterday and today, looks like Comey and pals have some explaining to do. And remember this?

Remember how the media laughed and the Democrats called Trump a conspiracy-monger?

Obama weaponized the DOJ, we’ve all known that. However, it looks like the extent of the weaponization  went much deeper and further than anyone realizes.

The media is already trying to spin. And this didn’t age well at all!

When one actually LISTENS to what Trump said, he is talking about the spying that members of the intelligence community conducted against the Trump campaign. NOT the Mueller investigation. He was talking about McCabe, Strzok, the Ohr’s, Christopher Steele, Hillary Clinton, Comey, and more.

This is a very very big deal as I mentioned above. It’s going to be fun to watch how the media and the Democrats try to re-spin their favored narrative given that Barr just drove a bulldozer through it.
