What images pop into your mind when you hear the term “white supremacy”? The Ku Klux Klan? Skinheads, perhaps?

Or Mother Teresa?

Say what?

According to Kitty Wenham, a British feminist — whom, I believe, hails from a more privileged nation than Mother Teresa’s native Albania — claimed on Babe, a feminist website, that the now-sainted nun had no interest in helping people. Because white supremacy:

Our fascination with figures like Mother Teresa and other white men and women who are applauded for their work ‘saving’ people in non-white areas makes it blatantly clear just how entrenched white supremacy still is in our collectivity.

Yes, nothing embodies white privilege like spending decades in India serving the poor and dying, including lepers who had been rejected by even their own families.

Mother Teresa’s first home in Calcutta for the dying poor, established in 1952, went on to become the Missionaries of Charity, which also opened an orphanage in 1955. In the 1960’s the Missionaries of Charity spanned the globe. In the 1980’s, Mother Teresa — already in her 70’s — went on to found the Gift of Love homes in New York, San Francisco, Denver, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to care for AIDS sufferers.

So let me get this straight. According to this British feminist, a white person caring for the most desperate people in a society — be they orphans, or lepers, or AIDS sufferers, or the dying street people of Calcutta — is doing so only because he or she possesses a sense of white superiority.

So what is Ms. Denham doing to care for the desperately ill and destitute members of her own community? Or is that not part of her “collectivity?”

Here is the real reason why Mother Teresa is so despised by the feminist left. It stems from a speech she gave at the National Prayer Breakfast in 1994. She called abortion the “greatest destroyer of peace,” and she had the audacity to declare those words before pro-abortion President Bill Clinton.

The most revered holy Sacrament of Mother Teresa’s Roman Catholic tradition is that of the Eucharist, where the faithful partake of the Real Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, the same body and blood shed for the sins of mankind. Radical feminists have developed their own sacrament — that of abortion — where the body and blood of unborn children are taken without compunction for any reason. Any voices who oppose their sacrament — no matter how noble — must be diminished.

She is a Baby Boomer who never became a hippie, an active Republican who first registered as a Democrat (okay, it was to help a sorority sister's father in his run for sheriff), and a devout Lutheran who practices yoga. Growing up in small-town Indiana, now living in the Kansas City metro, Kim is a conservative Midwestern gal whose heart is also in the Seattle area, where her eldest daughter, son-in-law, and grandson live. Seriously? She did a lot of good.

She should be a lead example for feminism. She just couldn’t become Pope because of the stained glass ceiling.

  • Not surprising. Fidel Castro, a prolific mass murderer, is being lionized by progressives worldwide today.

To progressives virtue is measured by the amount of innocent blood that is spilled.

    Virtue signaling at its worst.
Where ignorance and arrogance combine to form a black hole (oh! how racist of me!) of stupidity. Stay away from that event horizon!
    Oy vey.
