It’s been a long week. And, quite honestly, I was unable to unpack the Lindsay Clancy trial, and the feelings it stirred up inside of me, until now.
The jury still deliberates a woman who brutally murdered her three young children. Was it postpartum depression or psychosis? Was Lindsay Clancy in her right mind (hence, no psychosis) because she actually sent her husband out on an errand before she strangled her three kids?
There have been women who have defended Clancy-rushing to her defense for ending the lives of her children prematurely. “Justice for Lindsay!” they proclaimed, donned in various shades of pink.
Because maternal mental health matters.
There was the woman in New Mexico who shot her son in the face and killed him so that the boy’s dad would not have custody of him. This little boy was 11 month-yes-not even a year old.
I guess another case of “maternal mental health matters”?
Then, there was the woman who made a “joke” about a baby being canceled (read: aborted) on Instagram:
“Mommy changed her mind” oh my gosh 😭 Lord have mercy
— Stephanie ✝️🇻🇦 (@MommyShark42) August 24, 2026
Because “Daddy wasn’t sh*t”. We’ve seen this justification from the pro-abortion crowd before. “Daddy” wasn’t over 6-foot-two-with-six-figures-and-a-six-pack. Excuse me, you psycho, superficial, b*tch? (Why did you sleep with him in the first place?)
Just last night, I read about Canadian doctors who are doubling down on expanding assisted suicide to newborn babies. Their abortion practices look bleak as well:
As shocking as the calls for infanticide are, they are consistent with the culture of death promoted by the Liberal government. In fact, data has revealed that hundreds of babies who survive abortions in Canada are left to die.
According to a Quebec study, one in 10 babies aborted in the second trimester are born alive, but only 10 percent live over three hours. Additionally, only 24 percent of the babies born alive were admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), while only five percent received palliative care.”-lifesitenews.com
Left. To. Die.
Canada. Our betters. Our “friendly” and “polite” neighbors to the north want Americans to knoww how much better than us they truly are. Just look at what they’re doing to snuff out those “undesirable” newborns.
And when I think of palliative care, I think of a terminally ill adult who has at least been given the chance at life, not a child who has not even been given the chance to take a first breath outside of the womb, but that is besides the point I am trying to make here. The point I am trying to make is, our culture is sick. It’s hurting. It’s in need of a smack upside the head from God or something.
As a person who has had postpartum depression, (not psychosis), I can never imagine a solution to my depression to be harming my child. In fact, I would argue that most women with postpartum would feel the urge to harm themselves before anyone else. Having a child changes your identity. The event shifts your priorities. Your life changes. Your friends and relationships change. This can be daunting for some. For me, I was a workaholic who tied my identity to my job before I became a mom. That was no longer my identity or priority. My health took a downward turn during pregnancy and I had to not only recover from an emergency c-section but other health complications. While I was caring for a child in the NICU. We left the hospital without our son. When he finally came home with us, my husband went straight to work and soon after, on a deployment. I was alone, with a baby. During that time, I wondered what my purpose was. But I knew, despite how isolated I felt, despite that I felt like an utter failure for not carrying a “good”, healthy, storybook pregnancy, despite my not knowing all of the answers, that I loved my son more than anything. I was going to live to see him grow up. I wanted to see him grow up. That became my purpose. Was I the best mother in the world?
Motherhood is an honor. Was I always at my best in this role? Probably not. Am I now? Nope. I still screw up on the regular when navigating a relationship with my 20 year-old “baby boy” who is now an adult making adult decisions and having adult relationships. But I would never trade the midnight diaper changes, late-night feedings on the hour (he was only 4 pounds when he came home) and the eternity I felt like it took to potty train that kiddo. I look fondly upon the story time and snuggles before bed, the Kindergarten Mom duties, the sleepovers and the chaos of a house full of boys, Friday night pizza and Nerf gun fights. I made lasting friendships spending long weekends in sweaty gymnasiums at wrestling tourneys. We had fun road trips and vacations with our son and his best friend since third grade (who is also my “son”) and stories that still crack us up to this day. In recent years, I’ve experienced the college send-off and all of those tears and, another transformation in my role as a mom. This time, the proverbial cutting of the umbilical cord and letting a young man into the world to adult. All things considered, bringing a person into this world has been one of my greatest joys.
I realize that it is not like this for everyone. Motherhood is painful sometimes. It wrecks your body to create something beautiful. Motherhood requires sacrifice. But, as a woman, is it child sacrifice? Is that where we are at these days? Motherhood has been largely discarded. As a result, children have been blatantly disregarded. Unhappy accidents. Life-sucking parasites. Mere inconveniences that can be thrown away. “Events” to be “canceled”.
Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer was quoted to say that she felt “broken down” after days upon days of trials. Her supporters want her to have peace. They want people to “believe her”. The tragedy here is that the left has gone too far. This is what happens when abortion and “assisted suicide” gets masked as “compassion” and “care”. It’s hard to have compassion for, believe and “want peace” for a woman who brutally murdered her three children when the feminists who believe in abortion and “mercy killing” newborns rally in her corner.
In fact, that’s the last corner most of us sane women want to be in.

Stop. She clearly had mental issues and she was clearly seeking help. THAT’S what the whole case is about. The argument that the prosecution is making is that she killed her children while of sound mind. The argument that the defense is making is that she did it while not of sound mind. That’s it. The question the jury is debating on isn’t who killed her children, it’s on her mental state. Yes, the jury can vote to aquite her. If they do, it will likely be because the police did a terrible job investigating the crime. But if they don’t, and she’s not guilty by reason of insanity, she will still be in a mental institution for the rest of her life.
Lindsay Clancy is/was Catholic. In her journals she talked about having a fourth child. She deeply loved her children. We may never fully know what happened that awful night due to what appears to be a botched investigation, but the evidence shows that she was trying so hard to get better. FOR THEM. Turning this into a pro-life argument is especially heinous. Because based on previous blog posts, this author clearly doesn’t give a crap about children once they’re living. She doesn’t care about children separated from their parents due to ICE. She likely didn’t vote for programs that would provide healthcare to needy children. She also likely didn’t vote for programs that feed children and if I remember correctly, she doesn’t even understand nor support Medicaid, which literally helps parents with babies like her son in the NICU. So spare me. Being pro-life means caring about all that. It doesn’t stop once the child is born, unless you’re pro-birth.
Post-partum psychosis is real. Post-partum anxiety is real. Post-partum depression is real. Just because you didn’t experience them, doesn’t make them any less real. People who are depressed can function. They can take care of others while battling mental health if they have to. I know a woman who had post-partum depression and she has spoken so eloquently about it and how difficult it was. It was heartbreaking. This author has ZERO idea of what she speaks of and it would do her good to listen instead of opining. Maybe go talk to other women about their experiences if she can stomach it.
This case will be a landmark one around women’s mental health, especially after pregnancy. But clearly that fact is lost on this author because the only woman she cares about is herself. The women supporting Lindsay are supporting her because they understand that she tried to get help and was denied. They aren’t all saying she didn’t kill her kids. They’re showing empathy and sympathy for a mother that has lost everything due to her mental struggles. It’s a tragedy and no one wins. A real, caring, empathetic person could see all of that.
Wow, just think of the millions and millions of mothers with multiple children who suffered from post-partum depression who didn’t kill their children.
And, you have no idea of what anyone else went through with/without children, male or female, depressed or not. Believe it or not, you are not the Know-all, See-all you think you are. Lisa told you a personal story of some of her experiences with her family and you completely disregarded all of it to tell her “this author clearly doesn’t give a crap about children once they’re living”.
By all means, have compassion but it should not trump justice.
The last thing these deranged AWFULs (Affluent White Female Urban “Liberal”) want is actual Justice.
Real Justice would involve having this woman undergo exactly the same kinds of death that she put her children through. However much suffering those poor innocents went through. Strangling each one of them to death? Great, she should be strangled to unconsciousness twice, and then strangled to death the third time.
They’re not asking for Justice. They’re trying to demand utter and complete leniency. They are (almost, but not quite) as evil as she is.
Second topic:
As for palliative care, this is subject to the worst possible outcome of the War on a Noun, in this case, drugs. Doctors are terrified to prescribe opiates even for clearly terminally ill patients. My grandmother was in her late 80’s when she was diagnosed with metastatic liver cancer and it had already spread to multiple other sites. She was offered a full range of treatment including radiation and chemotherapy but she declined, saying, “Oh, I’ve lived long enough”. Her daughter and her husband converted their spare bedroom and hired experience hospice staff to help. The pain got bad enough to require a continuous morphine drip that she could trigger when needed. At the end it was a race to death to see which would kill her first, the opiate or the cancer; I think the opiate won. But she died as comfortably as she could be made, surrounded by her family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. That’s palliative care.
Hundreds wearing pink in her support….Would that there were hundreds wearing Black decrying what she did.

Dr. Mengele, if he was alive, would be proud.
How does one live with themselves after the deed is done and the sickness is gone?
What Lindsay did was evil. Her planning indicates a conscious choice she made. She deliberately chose to murder her children, her innocent children. She is due no compassion, certainly no more than she showed to her children. She is and was a cogent, clear headed murderer.
As for the hysterical, harridan, harpies supporting and promoting her behaviors. Would that their mothers had treated them to the same experience. After all turn about is fair play.
