Salon: Amanda Marcotte Thinks All MAGA View Trump As God

Salon has their commandments: thou shall be as anti-Trump as possible. Thou shall repeat Democrat talking points in every commentary. Thou shall hate on Christians whenever necessary.

Amanda Marcotte is no exception. Marcotte is still living out her pain of relatives in Texas who believe in the One True God and voted for Trump. She peppers all of her musings with anti-Christian rhetoric. The latest Jesusgate social media photo called for this next opportunity.

Trump is portrayed wearing a white tunic and a red mantle, as often shown in renderings of Jesus, while rays of light emanate from his hands. No one other than saints or the Great Physician himself are depicted this way, a fact the president — who enjoys the best medical care while depriving millions of their health coverage — surely knows.”-Amanda Marcotte, Salon

Well, at least she did call Jesus the Great Physician but we all know it was snark and jest. Now, any rational Christian knows this was a troll, that Trump is far from the Messiah. Any rational Christian would also argue that portraying oneself as Jesus, even in jest, is blasphemous and, in poor taste. But Amanda Marcotte of Salon tries to prove her case. That ALL MAGA view Trump as the second-coming.

These laughable excuses were only rolled out because the post drew a rare rebuke of Trump from conservative Christian pundits and leaders. In some cases, the criticism was blistering, with words like “blasphemous” and “demonic” coming from people who usually defend the president’s most depraved behavior as godly.

One gets the sense that most evangelical influencers weren’t really angry so much as they were embarrassed that Trump said the quiet part out loud: He has supplanted Jesus Christ as their lord and savior.”-Amanda Marcotte, Salon

No, Mandy.

She did that work for you, anti-Trumpers. Now, go back to sleep because you and I both know that it’s entirely too early for you guys. You don’t have to be at your anti-ICE, anti-war, anti-Capitalism NO KINGS protest until noon and your furry costume is still drying.

Plenty of people have objected to Trump’s policies and conduct. Innocent civilians being bombed in an Iranian school and shot on the streets of Minneapolis are indeed grave matters of moral concern, they have argued. But anyone fluent in the language of the Christian right knows that, in their worldview, ‘morality’ is limited to a certain range of issues, such as controlling the sexual behavior of women and LGBTQ people. The same belief, though, isn’t applied to straight men, as seen by evangelicals’ lack of concern over not just Trump’s adulteries, but also the many credible accusations of sexual violence against him.”-Amanda Marcotte, Salon

There she goes generalizing and stereotyping the Christian masses yet again. As far as “controlling the sexual behavior of women and LGBTQ people”, most Christians would be able to cite the Biblical verses that argue against this behavior. Jeremiah 1:5, Leviticus 18:22, for starters, but there are many more. The echo chamber of the world as we know it and the powers that be on this earth tell us otherwise but the truths are there-all day, every day, for as long as we breathe. Being sexually promiscuous and immoral is wrong, yet our world encourages it for young girls at a very young age. Just look at some of the “Influencers'” outfits at Coachella this past weekend. Look at the various entertainment awards ceremonies:

Killing a child in utero for the sake of selfish ambition or a moment of carnal desire is also wrong and immoral. Mutilating a child because he or she is not happy in the skin that they are born in is also abhorrent.

Any rational Christian knows that Donald J. Trump, while our President, and while we stand with him, is a VERY flawed man who has made, and will continue to make, mistakes. Any Evangelical who disagrees is also flawed. There are “Evangelicals” who worship at the throne of Trump and I will call them wacky but, God placed Trump (and the evangelicals who support him) on this earth-just like God placed Amanda Marcotte and her voice on this earth as well, bless her Christian-hating little heart.

I don’t claim to be a prophet. This is predictable because the Christian right is really not about worshipping God — it’s about worshipping power. In the Christian tradition, Jesus is the conduit to God for the faithful. In the MAGA movement, Trump serves a similar role. He connects his followers not to the Almighty, but to what they really want: control over American government and society. And there is nothing the president could do that would cause the Christian right to lose their faith in him.”-Amanda Marcotte, Salon

I’ve uttered MAGA. But Trump is NOT my God.

The atheist, the AntiFa, the worldly elites, also want control over the society and government, Mandy. And, they want the government to control them. They wish for it, they hope for it, they beg for it, even. Government housing. Government grocery stores. They advocate for this by voting for the people that they do. They want their God-given FREE WILL stripped by power-hungry elites of this world who claim to be of like minds. You, Ms. Marcotte, may very well be one of these people and because of this, I’m going to pray for you today.

Welcome to the the universe of She(Amanda Marcotte) where She is the highest order of She(Alpha and Omega) and only those who worship She are allowed to exist.

Nonsense of course, stick with Jesus and you’ll be fine and it will be She who ceases to exist.

I do not believe, nor do I believe that DJT believes that he is God or The Son of God.

Rather, I believe that he believes that he is on a Mission From God. I agree with that. I, also, believe that Amanda Marcotte, and the rest of the editors, commentators and writers at Salon, individually and collectively, lack the intellectual acuity to understand the distinction.

Miss Marcotte, I am sorry that your Only Fans didn’t bring in enough money but you really need to stop taking that out on us.
