It’s all over the news-transgender rights advocates say the election of Donald Trump and his cabinet appointees are a threat to rights everywhere.
I just went through an election where I couldn’t watch a sports event on TV without seeing a commercial where trans people were portrayed as monsters.”-Jennifer Finney Boylan
Let me guess? Was it this commercial?
According to APVoteCast, 55% of voters — and 85% of Trump backers — said support for transgender rights in government and society has gone too far.
The pronoun-signature mafia? The flags in every classroom? The biological boys pummeling girls in girls’ sports? The guys in the women’s locker rooms who “identify as women” whilst letting it all hang out? The parents of some kids, dying to be the “cool parents” at playgroup who have the four year-old who is, decidedly, “non-binary”? The doctors willing to push harmful chemicals on pre-pubescent children by falling back on “science”? The men, claiming to be women, endorsing women’s products and winning women’s awards?
Hell, yeah. It’s gone too far.
This week, Trump selected many officials to join him in leadership who have a history of passing or advocating for anti-trans legislation: for Secretary of Defense he tapped Fox News host Pete Hegseth, who opposes having women in combat roles and has said transgender members create “complications” in the ranks; for Secretary of State, he picked Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who requested questions about gender identity be removed from the Census in 2023; and for Department of Homeland Security, he landed on South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who signed legislation banning gender-affirming medical care in her state of South Dakota.”-Elizabeth Hlavinka, Salon
For one, Pete Hegseth is correct. Combat has no place for a person who is stable one day, and unstable the next, due to hormone fluctuations. Combat is not the place to feel “safe”, “included” or “affirmed”-it never has been. There is no room to “respect your existence or expect your resistance” on the battlefield-guys, gals and non-binary pals. Combat is where you get shot at and you shoot the enemy and pray you or your brothers don’t come home in a coffin. There is no time to be monkeying around with the person who ran out of their hormones. And, speaking of monkeys:
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) spent more than $477,000 on the study, which gave male monkeys female hormones to examine how cross-sex hormones might affect the immune systems of trans-identifying men when it comes to HIV.”-Mairead Elordi, The Daily Wire
Those poor monkeys. Still, the transgender mob and advocates put the focus on “the children”, and making this place a “better world”, one mutilation “gender-affirming” care case at a time:
These kids are being targeted and bullied by some of the most powerful people in their state and now at the national level. So what we expect is even greater increases in the number of kids feeling hopeless when all they’re trying to do is live their lives.” –Kellan Baker, the Executive Director of the Whitman-Walker Institute
Children were also being targeted by the “most powerful people” in their state and their country with “reproductive care”, too (AKA abortions). Where was the outcry there?
Radio silence. I call BS on the “for the children” bit.
The pendulum swung far to the left. Pre-COVID, pre-lockdowns, the percentage of transgender youth and adults was unknown. Out of thin air, post-COVID, the liberals and progressives were on the upswing and-poof-out of thin air came all of these individuals with gender dysphoria.
It all comes down to one thing in my opinion:
Or is it an opportunity to reframe the movement. We taxpayers simply want children and teenagers protected. Adults can do what they want as long as they pay for it themselves.

Kids and teenagers are volatile. They do not know what they want some days. And, on other days, they want what their friends have. Back in my day, it was a Swatch watch or a pair of Reebok high-tops or concert tickets. Today, some girls want hormone therapy and surgery to change their gender because their friends want the same thing. Changing one’s name/gender has become somewhat of a status symbol for teens, and for their parents who want to claim the “most virtuous, tolerant, accepting, better-than-those-Trump-voting-people on this planet”. But, there HAS to be some guardrails in place for children (those under 18). The Trump administration promised that. The Harris/Walz Administration wanted to put tampons in boys’ bathrooms and fund sex-changes for prisoners on our dime.
And, who should really fund these surgeries? For the past four years, the focus has been on finagling ways the taxpayers (us) could fund these surgeries and “therapies”. This idea of “if you are not comfortable in your body, the government should help you and if the government refuses to help you, they’re fascist bigots” is hogwash. How many of us menopausal women are “uncomfortable” in our bodies every blessed day? I am sure a fair amount of us would love a free “Mommy Makeover” but most of us would have to suck it up and shell out the $20-grand-plus on our own dime for the boob-lift and ye ol’ tummy tuck. If all of us women in this stage of life subscribed to this mentality, we would feel neglected, cast-out, victimized, discarded, and unaffirmed as women. True, BIOLOGICAL women at that. Why is the government not funding plastic surgeries so WE can feel good?
The transgender mob will continue to swirl in doom-and-gloom panic. The truth is, we still live in a free country. People can choose who and what they want to be and still have the freedom to attach all sorts of senseless pronouns to their e-mail signature and identify any way they want to, if they so choose. No one is going to a concentration camp. No one is being thrown off a building. So, fly your pride-progress flags and bumper-sticker the hell out of your car with platitudes. Take hormones if you want to. Grow that mustache and don that pretty dress if the vibe feels right. Get a transition surgery and a great set of fake mammaries. But make an informed decision because these actions may have unintended consequences and no, we’re not paying for it.
