Salon Writer Goes Trump Coup Cuckoo

In a world gone bird crazy, it can be comforting that certain entities are reliable. Reliably craptacular, maybe. Reliable nonetheless. That’s the best way to describe the writing of Bob Cesca in Salon, the online purveyor of “fearless journalism”. Mr. Cesca has gone full on Coup Cuckoo regarding Trump’s challenge to the results of the 2020 Presidential Election.

Mr. Cesca’s post for Salon, titled “Donald Trump’s silver lining: Will his last-ditch coup rip the Republican Party apart?”, is one part third grade name calling and the second part the hallucinatory dreams that come from a raging, five year, case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It’s sad really. Here is the first paragraph:

Despite the existential threat to American democracy Donald Trump is manifesting, there’s part of me that’s cheering for him to keep on doing what he’s doing. I’ll explain momentarily. Meantime, yes, he’s committing treason by exploiting the office of the presidency to forcibly overturn the certified results of the 2020 election. If he were successful, it would signify the end of our system of government. Sure, he’s much more likely to fail, but it doesn’t necessarily mitigate the damage he’s wreaking, especially to his own party.

There are those of us, me, who would argue that Trump is not committing treason, but trying to preserve the the Republic by trying to ensure that Biden’s win (He lost.) is authentic and that all of us can buy into it. Myopic vision is a top symptom of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Salon, as a publication, has never apologized for buying into the Steele Dossier, the Russia Collusion Hoax and the complicity of FBI. That whole mise en scene has a faint whiff of treason. And, Salon has been singing from the Trump Supporters are fascist songbook all along.

Where author Cesca really goes Trump Coup Cuckoo is in his name calling. No simple “bitter clingers”, “deplorables” or “chumps” for Cesca. Naw. Now, we are “sucker disciples”:

We’ve all observed how Trump’s screechy blurts and whiny laments have become dogma for the Red Hat movement. Whatever he says is perceived as golden in the small minds of his sucker disciples. They question nothing and believe everything belched by this professional con man, including his unsubstantiated insistence that the election was stolen from him. Any Republican who disagrees is immediately targeted as an enemy of the MAGA cult. These enemies are subsequently threatened, extorted or directly accosted by the various Red Hat militias, with marching orders amplified by the Trump entertainment complex on the internet, radio and cable news.

Way to win hearts and minds there, Bob. To be honest, when I read Red Hat militias, I thought, what has Bob got against Army parachute riggers? In my world, when I think of red hats, I think of riggers who wear the distinctive red ball cap. Even if Bob was talking about the red MAGA caps, that hardly constitutes a “militia”. We all know that Bob Cesca used the word “militia” because it’s a loaded (lol) word. Instead, we are just a bunch of, largely, white people dancing embarrassingly to the MAGA version of YMCA. That’s how a liberal friend described us this morning. And yes, SA, we had a great time.

We don’t need to be lectured to by people who have spent five years telling outrageous lies about Donald J. Trump and his family. Nor do we care what people, who hold their noses at the thought of smelly Walmart people, think about us. We know what we saw on Election Night. Some of us don’t even have to take our shoes and socks off to count the different ways the 2020 Presidential Election was fraudulent. Some of us have taken accounting and statistics classes. Some of us saw election rules changed in a non-Constitutional way to aid the fraud.

Bob Cesca is cheering that Trump is taking a “chainsaw” to the Republic Party, in his opinion. Joe Scarborough and bobblehead Mika agree:

Chainsaw from Bob and tearing the Republican Party apart Joe. Y’all are coup cuckoo. And, you are boring. Call us all the names you want. What Trump is doing is perfectly Constitutional. You may not like it. You may wish to lay on the floor and scream and pound your fists and feet. My son tried that when he was three years old in Trumbull Shopping Park. He laid himself out on the floor in the mall. I stepped over him and sat down on a bench until he got over himself. Then, I calmly explained the rules.

We’ll all just wait until all the writers at Salon and teleprompter readers on cable get over themselves. Then, we will calmly explain the rules.

I might not be the smartest person. Votes were counted 3 times and Trump still lost? Fraud, hmmm. How many times do they need to be counted to not be fraud?

  • Tammy says:

The same principle that voted in Republican’s who are claiming there was fraud. Interesting. Why should anyone vote? It was stated over and over this was the most secure election. Where is evidence? facts? to support that Biden did not win?

    • GWB says:

These were NOT the “same principle” that voted in Trump or Republicans.
And, yes, there is lots of evidence of fraud, though it’s pretty easy to ignore it if you just want to get it over with or you’re rooting for the team that wants to make voting fraud a common occurrence. (Do you think requiring voter ID is racist?)

As to this being “the most secure election”… BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
      You actually believed that? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • Tammy says:

I agree with voter ID. What does racism have to to with voter ID? If there was credible/or enough to overturn the election then why didn’t it happen????

    • GWB says:

Because those who would be our technocrat masters didn’t want it overturned?

Do you honestly believe that life always goes as it “should”? Do you believe there are no bad actors in our governments, that judges are really always interested in pure justice and constitutionality?
