The Capitol Hill Organized Protest, or CHOP, has ceased to be. That’s a good thing. Too bad that Mayor Jenny Durkan didn’t stop CHOP before Horace Lorenzo Anderson, Jr. lost his life. The Seattle Mayor and everyone else involved with CHOP have blood on their hands.
It’s hard to remember that the CHOP, formerly known as Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), only existed for three weeks. The death and destruction fall out from CHAZ/CHOP will last forever. Mayor Jenny let the rioting go on far too long. Heck, the city provided the Antifa/Black Lives Matter mob with portable toilets, and left the water and electricity on. Mayor Jenny finally shut it down, and as Deanna wrote last night, it had nothing to do with the fact that the Mayor’s house got graffitied. Naw, man, nothing at all.
If only Mayor Jenny had shut down the “Summer of Love” before it got started, Horace Lorenzo Anderson, Jr. would still be alive. Horace Lorenzo Anderson, Jr. (say his name) was the 19 year old who died on the morning of June 20, 2020, the day after getting his high school diploma. I have no idea why young Mr. Anderson was in CHOP. Maybe he wanted to be part of the Black Lives Matter movement. It doesn’t matter. Nineteen year old teenagers do “stuff”. Police had trouble getting in to CHOP as reported in the Washington Post:
The Seattle Police Department said in a statement that officers initially had trouble getting to the scene of the shooting because they “were met by a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims.” The police officers’ entry into the zone, filmed by people occupying it, didn’t appear to show violence.
Police said they are searching for the shooter or shooters and had no description or motive to share as of Saturday morning. Investigators gathered shell casings from the scene Saturday.
Horace, Jr. is dead and no one knows anything. Last night his father was on Sean Hannity’s Fox News Channel show:
Mr. Anderson, Sr. actually apologized for crying. I am surprised he could sit and speak. In case you couldn’t watch the video, Here are some highlights from Fox News:
“They need to come talk to me and somebody needs to come tell me something, because I still don’t know nothing,” an emotional Anderson told host Sean Hannity. “Somebody needs to come to my house and knock on my door and tell me something. I don’t know nothing. All I know is my son got killed up there.
“They say, ‘He’s just a 19-year-old.'” No, that’s Horace Lorenzo Anderson [Jr.]. That’s my son, and I loved him.”
“I still don’t know what’s going on,” he said. “I’m hearing from YouTube. I don’t know nothing. All I know is my son is dead. I’m still trying to figure out answers so I can sleep. I don’t sleep. My kids don’t sleep. I can’t even stay at home. My kids, they feel like they are unsafe at home. I’ve been buying motel rooms and I don’t have that type of money. I wasn’t prepared for this.”
“My son needed help, and I don’t feel like they helped my son,” Anderson said of law enforcement. “My son needed help, and I don’t feel like they helped my son … I feel like he doesn’t — without this, he would just be nobody. He’s just — it doesn’t matter, he’s just another guy. Just another child, just swept up under the rug and that’s it and forgotten about.”
Hey, Black Lives Matter, if black lives matter, did this black life matter? Have you been there for Mr. Anderson? Hey Antifa, are you satisfied? Another dead black man, like George Floyd. Not killed by police, no. Killed by your bloodthirsty quest to destroy America. Hey Mayor Jenny, you have the blood of a black man on your hands now. Feel good about your “Summer of Love”?
This is why Defund the Police is beyond irresponsible and stupid. This is why Chief Carmen Best is still the only adult in all of Seattle and should have been listened to in the beginning.
None of those who should feel shame do feel any shame. They will just go on with their pathetic lives. They will pay no penalty for their crimes. Horace Lorenzo Anderson, Sr. has just begun his life sentence of grieving for his son.

I certainly feel for Mr. Anderson, and hope he can someday find peace. I can’t imagine the pain of loosing a child. It’s sad that in the quotes above, he blames law enforcement, and not the criminal that were running CHOP. Maybe that part was left out, but if not, he’s blaming the wrong people.
Evidently no ones life matters to any of these people, Antifa, BLM and Seattle leaders.
the city provided the Antifa/Black Lives Matter mob with portable toilets, and left the water and electricity on
That was the real failure. A siege should have been laid.
You know, if they had laid siege, Mr Anderson would likely still be with us.
did this black life matter?
Not nearly enough.
I’m afraid it’s even worse than we are thinking.
The father says he is taking motel rooms to protect his family, despite very high cost.
This implies that his home is within the zone.
So his son was probably not curious about the zone, he was just living in his neighborhood, and that got him murdered.
Disgraceful.
I am pretty certain he’s doing that because of death threats, not because he lived in CHAZ.
Every single Democrat — at every level, from D.C. down to local offices across all of America — have blood on their hands.
And so does every citizen who casts a vote for any Democrat.
I may as well come out of the closet.
Instapundit and Victory Girls are BOTH on my daily “usual suspects” menu.
I recognize a couple other fellow travelers in both.
Just live in fear that an unexpected Instalanch doesn’t melt your servers.
They’ve had one or two. 🙂

[…] Antifa should have just stuck with beating people up, smashing stuff and burning shit down because building things is not within their mindset or skillset. CHAZ was breaking down on basic things like food within days. However it managed to last for about six weeks until their “security teams” murdered a couple of people, starting with a young kid named Horace Lorenzo Anderson, who was yet another Black Life that didn’t matter to Burn Loot Murder: […]
