The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Steve Scalise’s Recovery [VIDEO]

by Kim Quade on June 18, 2017

Steve Scalise’s recovery story has encompassed the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

First, the Good:

  • On Saturday, MedStar Washington Hospital Center upgraded Scalise’s status from “critical” to “serious.” He’s had additional surgery, but is now speaking with his family. Check out the good news in this video:

That’s major. Because Scalise has improved so much, doctors decided to hold another press conference to report on his status, even though they originally didn’t plan to do so.

Now, the Bad:

  • Steve Scalise was in much, much worse shape than initial reports claimed. In fact, he was near death. Dr. Jack Sava, director of trauma at MedStar, said that when Scalise arrived he was in a state of shock, and that “he was in critical condition with an imminent risk of death.” The single bullet had fragmented, and it damaged bones, internal organs, and blood vessels. Scalise needed several blood transfusions due to severe internal bleeding. Moreover, he faces a long road to recovery, and will remain in the hospital for “a considerable period of time.” Another doctor said that Scalise might “be back on his feet” within three months.

Finally, the Ugly:

  • Leave it to the Left to be the turds in the punchbowl. It started with George Takei, who tweeted this comment on Saturday morning:

I just. Can’t. Even. Steve Scalise nearly died, and this odious little man delights in whatever karma he thinks came around to bite him. Undoubtedly he was so stewed in his vicious bile that he didn’t see the statement released by Steve’s wife Jennifer. Or maybe he just ignored it, since he knows his leftist fanbase won’t care anyway.

Part of her statement says:

“Most importantly, we are forever grateful for the heroism of Special Agents Crystal Griner and David Bailey, who saved the lives of everyone at the baseball field that morning, including Steve’s. Crystal and David have been family to us for years, and we ask that you continue to pray for their full recovery.” (Boldface mine).

Crystal Griner is like family to Steve Scalise. Such bigotry. Such homophobia, right?

A few short hours later, MSNBC’s Joy Reid tried to outdo Takei in the tacky department by continuing to hit a man who was down.

Hey, Joy, that ‘white man with a violent background’ was a fan of your station, and your station’s host Rachel Maddow. Furthermore, that ‘white man with a violent background’ was the one who shot the ‘black lesbian police officer.’ And, by the way, Joy, the ‘black lesbian police officer’ has a name and a title. It’s Special Agent Crystal Griner. She earned her title, and the title ‘hero,’ too.

Yes, she’s a hero. Credit: CNN.com

What is wrong with these people? Reid and Takei think it’s perfectly fine to rail against a man who can’t defend himself, and who nearly died, for crying out loud. But in their miserable world, that’s okay. They must destroy anyone who disagrees with their view. And it’s even easier if he’s incapacitated and can’t speak out.

Remember the Eagles song “Dirty Laundry?”

“Kick ’em when they’re up; kick ’em when they’re down. . .”

It perfectly describes how the extreme left operates. No decency, and no shame. Haters gonna hate, right? Meanwhile, we’ll continue to pray for Steve Scalise’s continued recovery. Because it’s the honorable thing to do.

Very well done story/post Ms. Quade.
As Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage and others have pointed out over and over again, liberals are “mad”. Actually mad and “mad”.
Remember the Lord Jesus Christ pointed out: Luke 6:45  “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”
Immorality breeds corruption.

And the pathetic little coprophiliac wonders why he never got a “Captain Sulu” show…
Set phasers to STFU.

I doubt George is throwing very hard at Scalise. It’s just that, nowadays, everything centers around his sexual perversion.
Joy doesn’t have the same excuse. Her problem is just a deep-seated progressivism.
