Yesterday, President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he’d been indicted.
Former President Donald Trump said Thursday that he has been indicted on charges connected to his handling of classified national security records, writing on social media that he has been summoned to federal court on Tuesday in Miami.
The precise charges that federal prosecutors have obtained against Trump were not immediately clear, but Trump said his attorneys were informed by the Justice Department on Thursday that a grand jury indictment had been obtained.
As Kim noted in her post, at least one issue was whether there was obstruction of justice by Trump. It seems the feds believe that to be the case.
A seven-count indictment has been filed in federal court naming the former president as a criminal defendant, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a case that has yet to be unsealed.
The charges include illegal retention of government secrets, obstruction of justice and conspiracy, according to people familiar with the matter.
The federal government is now on the hook to prove without a shadow of a doubt that President Trump conspired to take and keep classified documents for himself, and made false statements and representations.
Ok, and then what? How will the government prove all of this? President Trump is well known for his bucket mouth. He’s been famous for that for decades. So it will be interesting watching the feds try to prove that key statements were intentionally false instead of Trump just being Trump. Furthermore, did he actually conspire to keep those documents for himself?
Given how the feds mishandled their sorting of the documents which led to the famous photo of papers and empty file folders strewn all over the floor at Mar-A-Lago, how strong of a case do they REALLY have?
On the same day as the indictment was handed down, lawmakers were finally able to view the documents that the FBI doesn’t want ANYONE to see. And well, the Biden family supposedly netted around $10 million dollars via Burisma and others.
“This source that came forward is a paid informant by the FBI,” she said. The claim is that the Ukrainian firm Burisma put Hunter Biden on its board in order to sort out legal problems it was having. Hunter advised Burisma to buy a US company but the informant told Burisma it should hire attorneys and deal with its legal problems. The source claims that the owner of Burisma paid $5 million to one Biden and he paid $5 million to another Biden. The intent of all of this money was to get the prosecutor fired and end the investigation of Burisma. The owner allegedly told the informant that it would take 10 years to unravel the Bidens because of how many bank accounts were involved in the transfer. Finally, the informant said the owner of Burisma initially denied making any payments to Joe Biden but later he claimed to have evidence of payments to both Joe and Hunter Biden.
Furthermore, we now know that Joe Biden had a plethora of classified documents strung out between his Delaware homes, the DC offices and more. Bribery, corruption, grift, getting foreign prosecutors fired, holding on to very classified documents, and not getting interviewed about it, are all part and parcel of how the Biden family rolls.
So where are THOSE indictments?
…Mishandling charges would likely be discomforting for some of the Biden legal team since those documents were moved repeatedly for a longer period of time…

Which brings me to my point. Joe Biden has mishandled documents for decades as we’ve all found out in recent months. There are also very serious allegations of bribery, corruption, and more. Which look even more serious now that we are finding out what information the FBI was holding back.
Yet we have indictments pending against Donald Trump, but not Joe Biden.
There does seem to be far higher interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics.

Very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust.
Sorry Elon, I think the public trust is in the gutter when it comes to our federal government. This two-tiered justice system is wrong. It’s wrong for ALL Americans. This from Vivek Ramaswamy, who himself is running for President, is spot on.
We can’t have two tiers of justice: one for Trump, another for Biden. One for Assange, another for Manning. One for BLM/Antifa, another for peaceful protesters on Jan 6.

The rest of his statement reads thusly:
I never thought we’d see the day when the U.S. President deputizes the DOJ to arrest his lead rival in the middle of an election. Obama shamefully tried to deputize the FBI to infiltrate Trump’s 2016 campaign, but they’re leaving nothing to chance this time around: the federal police state is outright arresting Trump.
This is an affront to every citizen: we cannot devolve into a banana republic where the party in power uses police force to arrest its political opponents. It’s hypocritical for the DOJ to selectively prosecute Trump but not Biden.
There are also serious legal questions about the President’s power to declassify documents and the potential illegality of the over-classification of federal documents in the first place. That’s for the courts to decide, but *we the people* decide who governs this nation.
It would be much easier for me to win this election if Trump weren’t in the race, but I stand for principles over politics. I commit to pardon Trump promptly on January 20, 2025 and to restore the rule of law in our country.
I couldn’t agree more. If one is to be held accountable for his or her actions, then EVERYONE needs to be held to the same standard.
You want to know one of the underlying reasons why Donald Trump was elected the first time around? It is precisely because Americans are tired of the “Us and Them” and the two-tiered justice system that works to protect the corrupt.
There is no “think”. It’s know. We all know.

There is no justice in this move. None at all. For anyone.

So basically our justice system has the approach of “We will keep holding trials until we get the correct verdict.”
