The tone deaf leftist (but I repeat myself) derp monkey in this case is Daily Beast columnist, former attorney, and satellite radio talk show host Dean Obeidalla, who in a column for CNN condemns the President’s claims on Twitter that the recent deaths of two Guatemalan children whose parents dragged them illegally across the US border can be laid squarely at the feet of the Democrats. Of course, much like ever other tone deaf leftist (but I repeat myself) derp monkey, Obeidallah studiously ignores the Democrats’ continued naked dance in the blood of these kids to denounce Trump and denigrate the US Border Patrol.

Democrats’ misdeeds don’t matter. Republican ones must be showcased, publicly and sanctimoniously condemned, and spun to ensure that proper virtue signals are broadcast to the right people. Gotta maintain those leftist credentials, don’t ya know!

For the record, I disagree with Trump’s assessment. Ultimately, it’s the parents who are responsible for the deaths of these children. They are the ones who dragged them to the US in a caravan filled with potentially filthy, diseased humans. They are the ones who either lied to the Border Patrol about their children’s health or declined further medical care when offered. Today’s immigration system is an amalgamation of laws under both Republican and Democratic administrations. For instance, illegal alien amnesty was passed in 1986 and signed by President Ronald Reagan, the 1990 Immigration Act that increased overall immigration to allow a greater number of immigrants to come to the US per year and created a diversity visa program that spawned a lottery to admit immigrants from “low admittance” countries or countries where their citizenry was underrepresented in the US was signed into law by George H.W. Bush, and the 1996 law that made getting access to welfare benefits more difficult for illegal aliens was signed into law by Bill Clinton.

But Obaidalla goes beyond disagreeing. He wrings his pearls in utter dismay at the President’s use of the deaths of these children “to score political points” and points a quivering finger at his refusal “to see these children’s humanity.”

But these children deserve to be seen as human beings. The first child who died was 7-year-old Jakelin Caal Maquin, a young girl who jumped up in excitement when her father told her they were leaving their small village in Guatemala to start a new life in the United States.

Young Jakelin celebrated her birthday  with her father as they made the nearly 2,000-mile trek that took them to the edges of the promised land. We can only imagine what she thought and dreamed of as she saw the US border.

Young Jakelin’s death was not just politicized by the left, it was used as a cudgel to bludgeon the dedicated men and women of the US Border Patrol who worked to save her life.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said the story “shocks the conscience” and said he will be “demanding answers.”

This senseless tragic death shocks the conscience. Immediate investigation must shine a spotlight on people & practices responsible,” Blumenthal said on Twitter Friday.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., who also sits on the House Judiciary Committee, also called for an investigation, and said Congress should cut off funds to agencies where children die in custody.

Nielsen “has this on her hands,” Jayapal said on Twitter, adding that if “‘border security’ means detaining 7 year old children and letting them die in OUR custody, SHAME ON US. No more money without accountability.”

And then there was this crap from Jerrold Nadler (D-ouchebag, NY).

All this garbage was posted before any details were revealed about Jakelin’s death, including the fact that her father dragged her through the desert without food and water or that he signed an intake form claiming the child was just fine.

But that was OK by Obeidalla’s standards, because apparently what Trump tweeted was oh-so-much worse! He doesn’t mind that Democrats will “investigate” these thankfully rare deaths in an effort to find something – ANYTHING – that would allow them to further denigrate the current administration. That’s perfectly OK. But if Trump uses these pointless tragedies to highlight the dangers of open-borders policies, that’s morally repugnant, and he must be voted out in 2020!

I shouldn’t be surprised that Obeidalla doesn’t see the hypocrisy of using children’s deaths to promote an election agenda, while condemning their use to emphasize the dangers of open borders. I shouldn’t be surprised that he ignores the disgusting political flogging of the deaths of Jakelin and Felipe by the Democrats as cause to denigrate and demean the CBP and the Trump administration.

Hypocritical derp monkeys generally can’t smell their own shit on their hands as they fling it at their political enemies.
