Them DNA Tests
Them DNA Tests
The Daily Beast leftist propaganda machine is clutching its collective pearls over Trump’s comments the other day (when is it not?) about “subjecting” poor, oppressed Elizabeth Warren to a DNA test to prove her Native Americanness. As if there will be a White House diktat issued during the 2020 election, forcing Warren to bow to the Orange King and swab her jowls. *SNORT*
Here’s what Trump actually said.
I shouldn’t tell you ’cause I like not to give away secrets… Let’s say I’m debating Pocahontas… You know those little kits they sell on television for $2…I’m gonna get one of those little kits and in the middle of the debate, when she proclaims that she’s of Indian heritage, because her mother says she has high cheekbones…we will take that little kit…but we have to do it gently, because we are in the Me Too generation… I will give you $1 million to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian…I have a feeling she will say no.
Meant as a joke to incite the crowd? Unless you’re a panty-shitting, grievance-mongering, liberal (but I repeat myself), there’s no other way to take that comment.
James D. Walsh, writing for the beast, has to make the puerile joke into something much more ominous, because TRUMPHITLERFASCIST or something.
It’s GENETIC MCCARTHYISM, he wails!
It sets a dangerous precedent, he moans!
And then, he dons a tin foil hat and goes full turnip.
Perhaps even more intriguing than Trump’s challenge to Warren, was the notion that he was giving away “a secret,” and his confidence that the results wouldn’t reveal Native American ancestry. Is it possible Trump already knows the results of an Elizabeth Warren DNA test? People have been surreptitiously collecting DNA for years. Police do it regularly — investigators collected garbage to confirm the Golden State Killer’s identity and again recently to match DNA collected at the crime scene of a brutal 1987 killing with a suspect. Ancestry hobbyists have stalked relatives who were unwilling to participate in their research.
No, really. In his attempt to paint Trump as some authoritarian creep, Walsh floats the theory that evil law enforcement (the only ones that the liberals insist should have guns, giving them a monopoly on force) might have secretly collected DNA on poor, innocent Elizabeth Warren and have provided TRUMPHITLERFASCIST with the evidence he needs to prove her unqualified to be President!
Because, you know… Trump apparently has an evil plan to hold on to the White House one way or another.
Of course, never does Walsh bring up the possibility that Warren could be lying to get bennies! That’s not a problem. The problem is that nutjobs could use Warren’s DNA for all kinds of nefarious purposes! And TRUMPHITLERFASCIST could use the results to McCarthily (yeah, I just made that word up) disqualify Warren from the White House (as if lying about one’s heritage wouldn’t do that)!
Liberal mindset: lying? No problem. Joking about giving Warren a DNA test? YUGE problem.
Liberal mindset: Discriminating against white people (or anyone else who doesn’t match the “Victim of the Month” description)? Perfectly OK. Lying about your heritage to gain career advantage? Perfectly OK (as long as you’re on the right side of the social justice zealot divide). Joking about tossing a DNA test at a liar? YUGE problem!
Did Warren use that alleged heritage to gain an advantage? Gosh! I just don’t know!
Harvard Law School in the 1990s touted Warren, then a professor in Cambridge, as being “Native American.” They singled her out, Warren later acknowledged, because she had listed herself as a minority in an Association of American Law Schools directory. Critics note that she had not done that in her student applications and during her time as a teacher at the University of Texas.
But Warren claims that she never used her heritage to gain advantage.
Nope. Not at all.
When she came to Harvard Law School, she was — believe it or not — considered by some to be a “minority hire.” She listed herself as a minority on a legal directory reviewed by deans and hiring committees. The University of Pennsylvania “listed her as a minority faculty member,” and she was touted after her hire at Harvard Law School as, yes, the school’s “first woman of color.”
This was no small thing. At the time, elite universities were under immense pressure to diversify their faculties (as they still are). “More women” was one command. “More women of color” was the ideal.
The fact that she made those dubious claims at precisely the right time to help her career (and who really knows if she would have been hired without them?) has nothing to do with anything.
Move along, citizen. There’s nothing to see here.
Most sane people would just laugh Trump’s comments off and move on, but Lizzie Bear is apparently so defensive, that she has a pathological need to deflect Trump’s facetious jabs with the typical leftist whataboutism.
From October 2017 to February 2018, there was a 315 percent increase in the number of cases of adults with minors fraudulently posing as ‘family units’ to gain entry.
Lizzie needs to spend a little less time getting all defensive about her genetics and trying to deflect attention from her lies to hysterical pseudo garbage about the Trump administration. It just further serves to make her look like a doofus. And you thought she couldn’t get any more ridiculous.
