The Office of Inspector General released it’s report on Andrew McCabe and it’s a doozy! Right about now, McCabe has to be thrilled that the GoFundme campaign has been so successful. He’s going to need every bit of that $500K for his defense. Katie Pavlich nails it. The report, which you can read in full here, finds that Andrew McCabe is a serial liar.

The report shows McCabe lied on multiple occasions under oath and to inspector general and FBI investigators about the FBI’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton, the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation and more. He is found guilty in the report of improperly leaking sensitive information to the Wall Street Journal, which he then lied about and misled former FBI Director James Comey.

This all started with a Wall Street Journal story published on October 30, 2016 titled “FBI In Internal Feud Over Hillary Clinton Probe.” The question is, was the information in the story authorized or not?

The DOJ’s Inspector General has found that McCabe lied about everything.

• McCabe lied to Comey about not knowing who authorized the disclosure to the WSJ thus violating FBI Offense Code 2.5 (Lack of Candor – No Oath).
• McCabe lied under oath on May 9, 2017 when he told investigators he didn’t authorize the disclosure to WSJ thus violating FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor – No Oath).
• On July 28, 2017 McCabe said he wasn’t aware that Special Counsel was authorized to speak to reporters, didn’t know where Special Counsel was and he wasn’t in D.C. at the time. He lied.
• McCabe also lied about lying to the investigators about his lies.
• McCabe also lied about knowing what he could and couldn’t do and in fact violated FBI protocol by anonymously disclosing the existence of an on-going investigation.
• McCabe also lied about distancing himself from his wife’s campaign when in fact he used his FBI email to help campaign for her. That looks to be a Hatch Act violation!

Just one point. Lack of Candor is a nice way of saying … YOU LIED! Given the revelations from the report, McCabe’s posturing in his “woe is me!’ op-ed after his firing is looking pretty silly right about now.

I bet Andy, in his worst nightmares, never dreamed he’d be caught in his lies. This doesn’t help.

Here’s the thing about what this report ALSO shows. Guess what folks, there was indeed a real live, genuine investigation into the Clinton Foundation and Hillary Clinton’s email use.

The article contained an official FBI statement that McCabe “played no role” in his wife’s 2015 state senate campaign and was promoted to FBI Deputy Director months after his wife’s defeat “where, . . . he assumed for the first time, an oversight role in the investigation into Secretary Clinton’s emails.” According to the article, FBI officials stated that McCabe’s supervision of the Clinton E-mail case in 2016 did not present a conflict or ethics issues because his wife’s campaign was over by then. The article went on to note that when the Clinton E-mail Investigation was launched in July 2015, Mr. McCabe was “running the FBI’s Washington, D.C., field office, which provided personnel and resources to the Clinton email probe.”

Additionally, on October 24, 2016, Barrett e-mailed the AD/OPA about a follow-on story that he was working on. In that e-mail, Barrett asked AD/OPA a number of questions about McCabe’s involvement in certain matters, including the CF Investigation. In particular, Barrett’s e-mail said that he was told that: in the summer, McCabe himself gave some instruction as to how to proceed with the Clinton Foundation probe, given that it was the height of election season and the FBI did not want to make a lot of overt moves that could be seen as going after [Clinton] or drawing attention to the probe.

Oh, but that’s not all.

If the name Lisa Page is familiar, it’s because she is the same Lisa Page who had all those anti-Trump texts with her lover, Peter Strzok.

What else has Andrew McCabe lied about? Likely more than we realize. Needless to say, the revelations in this report are damning for McCabe but also lend credence to the fact that there was indeed investigations into Hillary’s emails and the Clinton Foundation.
