The Democrats picked him. They get to own all of this.
Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner appeared to cruelly mock a teen’s suicide attempt in a newly resurfaced Reddit post.
The May 2012 Reddit thread begins with a photo of a teenage girl hanging out of an upper-story window, with a young man gripping her arms in an apparent attempt to save her, screenshots of the post showed.
“A girl at my old highschool [sic] tried jumping from a window because her cousin died the day before,” the post’s caption read. These students saved her. I have hope.”
An account belonging to the Nazi-tattoo sporting Maine Senate candidate wasn’t sympathetic.
“Someone clearly isn’t trying hard enough,” a commenter using the name P-Hustle — Platner’s screen name on the platform — wrote in response.
In another newly-unearthed Reddit post, Platner — who had an account on the messaging app Kik which featured a half-naked photo of himself — joked about expressing his gratitude for porn stars in military fashion.
“Thank you for your cervix,” he posted in 2021 in response to a user who said that adult entertainers should be thanked for their service like veterans.
The rumors abound that the GOP has an extensive opposition file on Graham Platner, but that they are holding off on using it until after the July deadline, when the party can no longer remove him from the ballot. How many more ex-girlfriends are out there, and are Democrats certain that what comes next isn’t going to be… a little too young? That file is going to hit the fan this summer at some point, and it isn’t going to be pretty.

Gen Z has a massive anti-Semitism problem. Where the hell does a 19 year old learn this??
A Cornell University student who applied for a summer internship with a Jewish-owned NYC startup rejected the opportunity with a hateful message: ‘Not interested in working for a Jew,” the shocked CEO posted on X.
Austin Franco put his antisemitism on full display when he passed up an interview with VryfID because its co-founders Gabe and Aiden Einhorn are proudly Jewish.
Franco, 19, delivered the message to both brothers via job board site Handshake after applying for a summer role at the company, which pairs renters with landlords and verifies their identities to prevent fraud.
Gabe Einhorn posted the message and concealed the last name, but the internet went to work. Franco then confirmed his own identity and apparently isn’t troubled to be a raging bigot at 19 years old.
I was stating why I was not interested after you had asked to interview 3 times. I found out you were Jewish after the fact. My experiences with Jews have not been pleasant, both in person and online. This is not to say I havent had positive experiences, but on the aggregate that is not the case.
This kid is 19 years old, knows nothing, but has certainly limited his future employment opportunities with his doubling down. Cornell is busy disavowing his anti-Semitism, but remember that they settled with the Trump administration last November over an investigation into anti-Semitism on campus. They certainly don’t want the bad press now.
When The Sun asked if an investigation was being conducted by the University, a University spokesperson wrote that “Cornell University learned of a deeply disturbing comment by a student on the Handshake platform in violation of the online job board’s terms of service and Cornell Career Services’ terms and conditions for job seekers. The student’s action has been reported to the Cornell Office of Civil Rights as a bias incident.”
Franco hasn’t learned yet to stop digging holes, either.
When asked about his reactions to the exchange, Franco wrote to The Sun, “If I ever have children, this will make for an interesting bedtime story. I probably also gave Gabe Einhorn the best PR his company will have in the near future and wish him the best with his startup.”
In his follow-up statement, Franco reflected more on his experience.
“It seems part of youth is to do crazy or drastic things, and though I imagine this is different from the path most take it fulfills the requirement, nonetheless,” Franco wrote. “Such actions might not be the brightest ideas in hindsight; however, they are still important to developing character and integrity. And hopefully the prior experience coupled with the many more I will have throughout my life serve to be fulfilling and reflective.”
Some authority figure in this kid’s life had better step in and give him some hard truths, immediately. Or he could just move to Maine and run for Senate, I guess.

Last month, a judge ordered the Kennedy Center re-opened after President Trump had it closed for repairs, and also ordered the Trump name off the center by June 12th. The signage came down last night, and apparently Jim Acosta thought this was worthy of his presence and a livestream.
I do not think there's enough talk on social media that Jim Acosta might actually be mentally ill. https://t.co/e5gJBVOeZq

I don’t know why it matters if the Trump name comes off the building. He’s still going to live rent-free in Jim Acosta’s head.

Congratulations to the New York Knicks for winning the NBA championship for the first time since 1973.
I am not personally big on basketball, but it is encouraging to see a franchise win after a long drought. (Says the lifelong Seattle Mariners fan.)

If you haven’t been following the Adventures of Freddy and Friends on X, you have been missing out. Toni covered our new favorite German yesterday for us here, and more of Freddy’s American dreams are coming true. He talked about his newfound fandom for country singer Ella Langley. She then reached out to him on X, and the rest is history.

And American hospitality is hitting new levels of “AWWWWWW”some.

Someone needs to make an entire travelogue series around this guy discovering America. I’d watch it!
