The government is in danger of shutting down because the money isn’t there. Which means, according to Senator Diane Feinstein, People Will Die! 

The California Democrat made the stark comments in a Capitol Hill hallway interview as she left a caucus lunch where the standoff with Republicans over a government funding bill — known as a continuing resolution or CR — was discussed. She was asked whether she thought her party would vote to pass or block a GOP bill to keep the government open ahead of a Friday deadline.

“Shutting down the government is a very serious thing. People die, accidents happen. You don’t know. Necessary functions can cease,” she said. “There is no specific list you can look at and make a judgment: ‘Well everything is going to be just fine.’ You can’t make that judgment. So, I think it’s a last resort. And I’m really hopeful we don’t get to it.”

Yes, I’m laughing and I know you are, too. Especially since this comes from the 84-year-old Senator from California who couldn’t get her stories straight as to why she decided to release a heavily-redacted version of the Fusion GPS transcript. Was it the pressure, the head cold, or just because? I dunno, sounds like a weird game of Who’s on First, What’s on Second?

In the meantime, what we have here is Democrats working 24/7 to shaft the continuing resolution unless all the grownup DACA kiddies are taken care of. The House voted handily to keep taxpayer dollars flowing so the government stays open for business. The Senate on the other hand…

“Sen. Schumer, do not shut down the federal government,” Ryan told reporters after the House vote. “It is risky, it is reckless and it is wrong.”

Ryan added: “The only people standing in the way of keeping the government open are Senate Democrats. Whether there is a government shutdown or not is entirely up to them.”

Exactly. Yet Fox News’ Shepherd Smith decided to lecture the REPUBLICANS for making the Democrats shut down the government because illegals trump Americans.

I had a conversation with a good friend yesterday, who injured her hand. She chose to get medical assistance from medically trained friends instead of paying the $3500 deductible for the Urgent Care visit. That is on top of the $790 a month she is paying for her so-called “Health Insurance.”

So guess what, Shep and Senator Chuckie Schumer? Those here in this country illegally? Sucks to be them. Americans deserve better. Americans do not deserve to be shortchanged politically or monetarily in favor of people here illegally. And that is EXACTLY what you are doing by forcing a government shutdown in favor of catering to people here ILLEGALLY.
