Rama Duwaji Wants Her Spotlight To Be Selective

Rama Duwaji Wants Her Spotlight To Be Selective

We’ve highlighted Rama Duwaji, “very private” wife of New York City Mayor, Zohran Mamdani several times here on Victory Girls.

Gen Z’ers who voted for her train wreck of a husband are dubbing her “The New Princess Di” (perish that thought). And, hipsters are fawning over the haircut. Apparently, it’s a bob and a pixie known as a “pixie”. Rama Duwaji is “the love of his life”, according to Zohran Mamdani. He loves her right down to her Spotify playlists, apparently.

Which brings us to the latest about the “aloof” (more on this in a bit), Rama Duwaji. According to this, Mrs. Mamdani’s playlists on Spotify have been unearthed. From Olivia Reingold of The Free Press:

I’ve recently found even more radical material on what appears to be Duwaji’s Spotify account, where two playlists dedicated to anti-Israel anthems were curated in the days after October 7. On Tuesday afternoon, I reached out to the mayor’s office for comment. They declined, but by Wednesday, the account had been made private.”-Olivia Reingold, The Free Press

Of course, they declined. Rama Duwaji is a very private person with the occasional exceptions of when she is NOT a private person. New York Fashion Week. The cover of New York magazine. Her Jew-hating, Spotify playlists are none of anybody’s business.

The Spotify playlist unearthed (until it was made private) was entitled, Hungry but Sexy for Palestine and included a bunch of curated songs post the October 7th Hamas attacks on Israel. Among those on heavy rotation in Rama Diwali’s ears are Amrikka by an artist known as Shabjdeed:

Oh god,
F#ck America, they spread addiction
We stopped the hash, just the cigarettes
Don’t ask me, I don’t know much
Saddam Hussein, was a decent man with a few death penalties
He protected the binoculars
The bullet got stuck in barrel, lock and load
Countries and flags, Countries and flags.”-Shabjdeed

Also on the list? Aziza Brahim’s Intifada:

It’s our promise to the martyrs
And to those who’re missed and no longer here,
That we’ll refuse to be annihilated,
And will die resisting.”-Aziza Brahim

Reingold, of The Free Press is getting quite a bit of shade from this write-up from the Rama defenders of the universe. Some of this shade is directed, of course, at Bari Weiss. They cry, “Why is this news?” Because, now, all of them care about “journalistic integrity”, all of a sudden? Most are calling Reinhold’s piece “stalking” and “petty”. But, is it?

Let’s not forget the other playlist that was on Ms. Duwaji’s Spotify-a playlist entitled, ACAB, meaning “All Cops Are Bastards,” created during the summer of 2020. This playlist also made private.

Duwaji is a public figure, whether she chooses to be or not. She can no longer pick and choose when and where she decides to be in the public eye. She is the wife of a man who is Mayor of a city was GROUND ZERO for the “F#ck America” thugs. The “martyrs” who flew jets into buildings who are “missed and no longer here”. The “martyrs” who died resisting and took THOUSANDS of innocent Americans with them.

Seriously, is Rama Duwaji that aloof? Cosmo seems to think so…

She is far removed from most First Ladies of yesteryear, whose public personas existed largely as extensions of their powerful partners. It may not be a conscious effort, but Rama’s online presence resists that fate. And her dynamic with Zohran—where he openly praises her emphatically and often while she remains low-key—has been well-received online. This whole “aloof” descriptor might’ve just offered a loose framework for what a happy, balanced straight relationship can look like in a society that’s increasingly skeptical of them.”-Annabel Iwegbue, Cosmopolitan

She’s so dedicated to her art, they say. She has her own personal style, they say. She has her own political views. She’s as aloof as she wants to be…

If you had to choose an experience (which we all technically have the freedom to do…), the aloof wife life seems obviously like the more satisfactory option. Why subject yourself to a relationship that leaves you begging for acknowledgement when you could opt for a partner who celebrates your every move and leaves adorable comments under everything you post? (As Zohran’s been known to do.) “-Annabel Iwegbue, Cosmopolitan

I can see Zohran now. “Rama, honey. I just love your cute, little, sexy, jihadi playlist”. All his Gen-Z female voters sigh wistfully and all swoon in unison. #couplegoals or something.
