Pass The Bill To Find Out What’s In It, Part 2

Late on the night of December 21, after months of inaction, the U.S. Congress moved to pass the bill to provide relief for Americans. The 5,000 page bill provides $600.00 to single persons earning up to $75,000.00 and $1,200.00 for married couples earning up to $150,000.00. The 5,000 page bill was delivered to Congress two hours before the vote was held. We are going to call this movie “Pass the Bill to find out what’s in it, Part 2”. If Part 1, was a really bad movie (ObamaCare), Part 2 is an abortion wrapped in a clusterfeck of a movie. It’s more about the Green New Deal than about relief for the aggrieved.

For those of us with a memory longer than that of a housefly, we remember when, in 2010, Nancy Pelosi uttered the words:

“But we have to pass the [health care] bill so that you can find out what’s in it….”

For Republicans and conservatives, nothing exemplifies government overreach and arrogance more than those 16 words, uttered by then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi at the Legislative Conference for the National Association of Counties in March 2010. Ask her about that comment and the ensuing criticism today and Pelosi fights back.

“Government overreach and arrogance” is mild for the many four letter words that went through my mind when Pelosi uttered those words. And, after all these months of federal and state governments intentionally destroying lives and businesses, another Pelosi phrase of more recent vintage comes to mind: “Crumbs”. In 2018, Pelosi called the $1,000.00 tax cut bonus checks from the Trump Tax Bill crumbs.

It was the towering arrogance of Obama, Biden, Pelosi and Harry Reid that led to the Presidency of Donald J. Trump. With the stolen election of 2020 and this Covid rescue bill, the Deep State has struck back harder than hard. Victory Girls’ own Jodi talked about this in her December 22 post that you can read here. We peasants will learn.

We peasants will learn because this bill is about punishing us with the Green New Deal than Covid-19. From Hot Air.com:

You’re going to see the phrases “promoting technologies” and “creating jobs” quite often in that portion of the bill. The technologies in question involve carbon capture, emission reduction and replacements for the hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) used as coolants in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, among other things.

You see, that’s how they like to describe such “initiatives” to put a pleasant spin on them. A better translation of those passages would be to say that taxpayer money will be shoveled into “green energy” and carbon reduction companies who will ostensibly be working to achieve those goals while (just coincidentally) making a ton of money for a small number of people. A closer look into how those people donate to political campaigns and focus their job creation on the states represented by the politicians pushing these plans will no doubt be very instructive.

Another translation would be loading the taxpayers down with debt, stifling individual initiative, promoting corporatism and globalism, and giving more power to the legislative branch. A third translation would be: “We are screwed”.

In her post, Jodi mentioned Steve Scalise and Kevin McCarthy and their support for this bill. They are not the only ones. Dig this quote from Senator John Barrasso again from Hot Air:

“Republicans and Democrats are working together to protect the environment through innovation,” said Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

“This historic agreement includes three separate pieces of legislation that will significantly reduce greenhouse gases,″ Barrasso said, citing measures that promote technologies to “capture” and store carbon dioxide produced by power and manufacturing plants; reduce diesel emissions in buses and other vehicles; and authorize a 15-year reduction of hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs, that are used in everything from cars to air conditioners. HFCs are considered a major driver of global warming and are being targeted worldwide.

Et tu, Barrasso? All of this means that Barrasso, Scalise and McCarthy got their pet projects included.

From the Press Secretary to Mitch (Please retire) McConnell, here is a a partial list of the non-New Green Deal stuff:

Fortunately, Senator Rand Paul, at least gets the problem here:

Amen, Senator. Modern monetary policy means print money, spend profligately and wrap yourself in whatever pet project the zeitgeist is touting.

The worst part of this is: You owe all the money. You are on the hook for this bill. That $600.00 they are giving you, is money you owe you. The Green New Deal crap? You are on the hook for that. You, taxpayer, owe that. The same with the Payroll Protection Program and rent delays. Debt is slavery. You give up your freedom when you owe money.

And, you, my fellow taxpayers are the ones who tote the note for all of this. The cretins who didn’t read the bill have been getting paid all along. They didn’t forego their paychecks while you were called non-essential. They are still living high on the hog and traveling while you sit in the home you are about to lose.

Why is all of this so hard to understand. I was wrong “Pass the Bill to find out what’s in it Part 2” isn’t an abortion wrapped in a clusterfeck. It is our National Death Warrant.
