Oregon Patriots Water the Tree of Liberty

Oregon patriots, inspired by a love for their country, protested against the tyranny of the state. The patriots made the impossibly unacceptable demand of being allowed to attend a meeting of their elected officials. The legacy media will have you believe they were dangerous and violent. Don’t believe the lies.

Our petitions have been slighted, our remonstrances have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the throne…we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight! An appeal to arms and to the God of Hosts is all that is left us!”

Americans are tired of the government overreach, but more so of the complete disregard for our Constitutional Rights during the coronavirus lockdowns (and the erosion that preceded the virus). We have endured a year of being told to stay home, stay away from our extended families, keep our kids out of school, cover our faces, and trust politicians to “know what is best” for us.

We complied.

Meanwhile, those same politicians allow encourage rioting in the streets, and what they deem “essential” businesses to operate normally, while holding themselves to a Marie Antionette standard for following their own edicts.

The grocery store full of high school workers is essential, while their schools are not. Casinos are open, while church is closed. An outdoor dining restaurant is closed, while a film crew eats 60 feet away in a tented mobile canteen. Pelosi, NewsomBirx etc continue to live their lives normally, while we can not. The New York Post sheds light on our political leaders complete hypocrisy.

We have had ENOUGH. The brave patriots in Salem, Oregon finally did something about it.

They marched on the state capitol, and tried to gain access to the special assembly. Where the Governor and her cronies were discussing the state’s plan for how to spend tax dollars, and how/if to reopen the economy during the coronavirus “pandemic.”

The raw video has a LANGUAGE warning (NSFW), but does show the rampant dangers of patriotism. Uncovering a cloaked statue, and not even a single can of spray paint.

The State police declared the gathering an “unlawful assembly”, and demanded they disperse immediately. In the video, you can see how aggressively the protestors engaged the situation. It was basically a full on tail-gate. Complete with portable awnings. Unlike the violent ANTIFA crew, these patriots were not using the support poles as battering rams. Nope, just keeping their gear intact and used as directed.

Did they riot and destroy private propterty? No. Did they demand a complete breakdown of society like ANTIFA/BLM? No. Were they riding roughshod over their fellow citizens, disrupting their lives and livelihoods? No.

Their action? Protesting against a closed meeting of the state legislature, at their state capitol. They wanted to be in attendance while their elected representatives determined the future of their families, livelihoods, and freedoms. The nerve of those simpletons! Holding elected leaders accountable! What’s next… election integrity?

A legislature led by Senate President Peter Courtney, who said this about the protestors,

So, here we are. All of a sudden it felt like the Capitol had become an armed camp—state police everywhere. … I am grateful that the Senate was able to find a way to get through this day. We accomplished many things, but we did not do everything,”

A state Senator, in a state where ANTIFA has set up Police Free zones, rampaged city blocks, and held residents virtual lockdown, is afraid of a broken door and patriots chanting outside the capitol building. His behavior tells you a lot about the nature of our collective politicians, how he fears his constituents, and belittles his peers on the opposite side of the aisle.

 

The damage from this group, described by The Daily Beast as, “Heavily armed far right mob”… a broken door and a manhandled “reporter” taking pictures of the participants. Unlike ANTIFA and BLM, the majority of the patriots were not hiding behind black masks. They are right to be concerned about being doxxed and censured by the progressives, because the typical response is “cancel culture.”  But until a journalist has to visit the hospital for stitches after taking an ANTIFA “milkshake” to the head and beating, like Andy Ngo, I will withhold any concerns of “stifling the press.”

Despite the lack of damage and injury, outlets like The Daily Beast are pushing the narrative that the protestors were dangerous! Or maybe “potentially” dangerous. All the freedom, ‘Merica, and big black long guns! Oh so scary! The best quote they could find to support this narrative, a guy named Duane (whom wisely withheld his last name),

I’m here to support the constitutional rights of people and of Oregon business [owners.] These people are unemployed and their lives are being ruined by this situation and most importantly by a government that seems to have taken totalitarian views,”

Oh yes, so much to be afraid of with all that truth! Supporting the [GASP!] Constitution!!! Supporting fellow Americans who are suffering unemployment and hardship stemming from government tyranny! This is a liberal’s nightmare. People who want freedom from authoritarian rule.

The Daily Beast closed their article with a snapshot of truly terrifying information to the progressive proletariat – flourishing capitalism in the bastion of “far right mobs!”,

Despite the chaotic protest, some protesters managed to continue selling pro-Trump merchandise at a tent set up outside the Capitol—including “Stop The Steal” sweaters. The tent, surrounded by Trump 2020 flags, also offered USA and Trump hats.”

Oh the poor reporter, can’t even have a simple “Right wing scary” moment without bringing up the progressive “boogey man.” Because when the facts don’t support the narrative, all progressive mouthpieces need to do is shout “TRUMP!!!”, and the left starts seething. It’s sad really.

The Oregon patriots aren’t fighting for only the people of their own state. They are the people Kit Perez wrote about in her response to “An American Coward”, the people who lead the way despite the risks. The everyday Americans who recognize that a tyrannical government doesn’t stop at state borders. The people Mr. Henry exemplifies by his statement – “I am an American.” They are leading the fight for all of us.

    Not yet, they haven’t. But this is getting closer. When they show up with feathers and pots of tar, then you’ll know there’s no turning back. (I hope it’s soon.)

    This is a liberal’s nightmare.
    No, it’s a progressive’s nightmare. (Our “liberals” haven’t actually been liberal since about 1900.)

    You missed something important in this, though, Narcissi: the Oregon state constitution requires that ALL legislative sessions be open to the public.
    Oregon Constitution, Article IV, Sec 14: The deliberations of each house, of committees of each house or joint committees and of committees of the whole, shall be open. Each house shall adopt rules to implement the requirement of this section and the houses jointly shall adopt rules to implement the requirements of this section in any joint activity that the two houses may undertake.

    By closing the session to outsiders, they – the entire government of Oregon – violated their constitution. The entire session is illegitimate (as State Sen. Heard stated). Since the courts are also illegitimate in Oregon, having abandoned any pretense of abiding by law or the state or federal constitutions, I don’t see any recourse except the physical removal of that portion of the government that supports the action, or the exercise of the first clause of the US Constitution, Article IV, Section 4.
    The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government

    With Sleepy Joe and Comma-la on their way into the White House, I don’t see any chance of the second one happening.

    • Thanks GWB- per usual, great information and response. I was unaware that the state Constitution required an open meeting. Valid points, and a Star Chamber feeling for sure.

      It’s a start, and every fire needs a spark. Let’s hope that others take notice and the embers catch. There is a definite sense of being on the precipice of something big.

    For decades we have given progressives the liberty of the benefit of doubt. And all they have done is used it against us and pissed down our throats while laughing at us. Really, the only thing that they are employing against us is we have weighed risking our jobs versus standing up for our principles. I am done with this risk. If Trump is not rightfully seated via the rightful contingent election, we do not have a republic anymore anyway. There will never be a true election again. Make them feel some pain in the form of pushback. They are spoiled children, tell them no for once. It works. Keep doing it.

    Merry Christmas and help preserve this fine Republic! I love all of you Patriots!

    In the months and years ahead there are two numbers that will eventually swing the pendulum from tyranny to freedom.
    400 million and 9 billion.
    There are an estimated 400 million firearms in civilian hands with around nine billion rounds of ammo for those 400 million firearms.
