The election is two days away, and the national psyche seems to be unraveling.
Exhibit A: On Saturday night, Secret Service whisked Donald Trump off stage at a rally in Nevada. Attendees at the rally reported seeing a man with a gun, but no weapon was found.

Here is the suspect being removed under heavy escort.

Trump returned to the stage. The scare over, reporters went back to their usual modus operandi: blame Trump for bringing on the threat. Glenn Thrush of POLITICO came up with this beaut, which he deleted. But, of course, the internet is forever. Here’s a screenshot.
Back-pedal, back-pedal. Thrush tried to explain what he meant — after getting called out on Twitter.

Thank god Trump is okay – I deleted Tweet cos of the response, not the sentiment…wanted to discourage anger/negativity – Tweet stoked it.

Uh huh. Riiiight.
Exhibit B: Hillary Clinton sounded unhinged at a rain-drenched rally in Florida, screeching like a banshee.

Listening to that caterwauling reminded me of this scene from a classic film.
Did I just do that? Why yes, yes I did.
And then there’s Bernie Sanders.
He has endorsed Hillary Clinton, but as far as chiming in on that Basket of Deplorables thing? Eh, not so much.
I do not believe that most of the people who are thinking about voting for Mr. Trump are racist or sexist.

Ooh, Hillary! Feel that Bern!
Check out the L.A. Times reporter who tweeted out his hope that Trump would die. What died was his job with the L.A. Times.
Really hope the @latimes understands that one of its journalists said this about @realDonaldTrump … before deleting the Tweet pic.twitter.com/3g5ioV0oGO

Echoing the same sentiments was this charming editor of Ebony.com, who wanted Trump supporters to die:
“Yes, you read that correctly. I want these motherfuckers to lose. And if losing what might be the last winnable election for them in a millennia isn’t enough for them to move into the 21st century, I wouldn’t terribly mind if they withered the fuck away and died.”
Somebody get that man a Snickers bar. And take him to church. He needs to get religion.
Then there’s the Hillary cultist supporter who thought a tattoo of Herself on his leg would be a really awesome idea. He made the Big Reveal with Chelsea Clinton on hand!

I hope it was worth it. Those things are really painful to remove, once the regret sets in.
On the other side of the Crazy Train is the woman who sold range targets with Hillary Clinton’s face on them. She sold 1500 of these pieces of fine art in two hours, raking in $3750. I’m all for entrepreneurship, but did she bother to think this through?
A perceived threat to a former Secretary of State and presidential candidate can bring the FBI calling for a little chat. Hope she has a pot of coffee ready.
Yes, Election 2016 has found too many Americans residing not in a Basket of Deplorables, but in a basket of fruits and nuts. This election can’t end soon enough.
I’ll agree that Election Day can’t come and go soon enough, although I have great trepidation about the results. Sure,
we’ve survived this administration, thus far. (I don’t discount them pulling off some final “up yours America” before Inauguration Day, 2017.) And, my disquietude isn’t over a Trump victory. Rather, it’s the thought of another Clinton in the Oval Office.
What might we have to go through to endure and survive such a presidency? I cringe at the thoughts of just a year of it, let alone four of them. We’ll survive I believe. It’s the thought of the continued suffering brought about by those who would pursue the “transformation” of America that repulses me.
One question is whether we have learned anything from this election cycle to spur us to initiate election reform and not wait, as it seem we have, for the politicos to do so.
Meanwhile, I believe America is in need of much prayer.
Meanwhile, I believe America is in need of much prayer.
Amen to that.

Love that. Hillary wants to be the president of ALL Americans….well all except those ‘deplorables’ and the 5+ million NRA members. Got it!
You forgot to mention the countless unborn babies…
