Obama’s Richest Line of The Night: “We Blame The Leaders We Elect Without Examining Our Own Role in Electing Them”

Some of you may have tuned in to “This is Us”. Some others may have muted the TV (as my husband has done for the past eight years). While there is no need to pat me on the back, I took one for the team and tuned into Barack Obama’s final address as POTUS. Again, no need to thank me. Just doin’ my “civic duty” whilst trying to get over this cold and not cough up a lung. To sum it up…some laughed, some cried

…and well, we here at Victory Girls HURLED!

Aside of the warm-fuzzies Obama gave to his adoring public, his wife and his kids, his speech was predictable. He mentioned with fondness the South Side of Chicago, but failed to mention the murders that have occurred in “his” city. It did not take long to throw in a few race-baiting punches, either:

“But we’re not where we need to be. (You think?!) All of us have more work to do. After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hard-working white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves. If we decline to invest in the children of immigrants, just because they don’t look like us, we diminish the prospects of our own children – because those brown kids will represent a larger share of America’s workforce.”

Obama stuck to his delusion that there were no terror attacks on our soil during his time in office and subsequently went on to mention Boston and Orlando. He gave his thanks to our military and law enforcement and then went on to mention his “reformed laws” (some that have tied the hands of our service members in the fight against domestic and global terrorism). The Constitution, he claimed, is a “gift”…BUT…it’s really nothing but a “piece of parchment”.

You can read the whole transcript here. Perhaps the richest line of the evening came about in Obama’s attempt to address “corrosive political dialogue”:

“….We weaken those ties when we define some of us as more American than others; when we write off the whole system as inevitably corrupt, and blame the leaders we elect without examining our own role in electing them.”

We spent eight years listening to liberals spout off that all of the failed policies of the Obama administration were a direct result of George W. Bush. And now, Barack Obama wants Americans to take a look at their role in electing our leaders. Of course Prince Narcissus McScoldybutt (thanks, Ace of Spades).does not want his admirers to examine their role in electing him (because we all know he’s perfect and he thinks they’re just the bee’s knees). He is, for all intents and purposes, exercising his prowess in the passive-aggressive and taking aim at those of us who did not want Obama 3.0 (Hillary Clinton) in The White House.

So, I say we turn this statement of Obama’s on it’s side and point it back at our Hollywood elite, our mighty professors churning out our college campus snowflake wussies, our big-city liberals, our anti-military and race-baiting anti law-enforcement armchair warriors of social media, our Planned Parenthood activists who are perfectly fine with killing babies but outraged over lions and any one else who is outraged over the results and the future of our next four years.

You all think you are so important and that you are. You all have played such an integral part in the results of Election 2016 and bringing Donald J. Trump into office. Your endless insults to the intelligence of common, hard-working American people while you jet around to luxury destinations and make insane amounts of money is what is corrosive. What can you possibly expect when you honestly believe and voice the opinion that common American people do not appreciate ‘art”, that they are nothing but “MMA and football”?

As Hollywood has the screen and the microphone, those of you in higher academia have done a service in molding these young minds to believe your truth as gospel and to spread it through the land but there is one problem-these kids have not yet experienced life. And hardship. Nor have they had to work for a living. They are weak and egotistical to the point of pathos. Unwilling and unable to understand the garbage that they have been fed for years; believing that they need “safe spaces” to run to when someone challenges the very ideology that they have been spoon-fed. You may rest upon your tenure but hopefully some of these kids will wake the hell up. I believe it’s not too late for change. Yah, I know. Obama likes that word!

And to you big-city liberals, aren’t you tired of using the words “bigot”, “redneck”, “racist”, “fascist” and “Nazi” yet? After all, those words are like, soooo 2016, don’t cha think? We know you’re so much more sophisticated than middle-America (or as you like to put it, ‘MURICA) with your lofts in Brooklyn and your “all-inclusive” parks and social clubs. YOU may have been with HER but it could not possibly be your (corrosive) language that made some of the “lesser peasants” run to HIM, could it? Just some food for thought…munch on it and wash it down with some Kombucha.

And to those of you who have posted endless rants on social media disrespecting law enforcement and our military members, I say this. You know friends and associates who may have a loved one who is serving or has served in law enforcement and/or the military. We watched while our brothers and sisters perished. While kids we know lost a parent. While mothers and fathers we know lost a child. We watched this unfold while you cheered on riots, while you took part in (or cheered on the act of) stomping on our flag while the very people we love defend it. But by all means, go ahead and blame our “warped” American patriotism for the results of this election, too.

And last, but certainly not least, blame us for placing value on a life no matter how small. It had nothing to do with you wishing you took part in an abortion or celebrating the death of a life by emblazoning it on a party dress but it has everything to do with the “backwards” individuals who want to prevent you from doing so and using it as cause for celebration.

So, yes, never mind MY “corrosive language”. Bear in mind all of this “compassion”, this “love and light” you throw around like fairy dust is for naught if you don’t look inward. Obama said so, so it must be true, right?! But of course, Hollywood and Obama-loving liberal entities-the whole lot of you-go ahead and continue to blame Donald Trump for the next four years but be the good little citizens and remember what your President said on the night of January 10, 2017…examine your role in electing him! Think about THAT the next time you want to blame the “redneck” in the pickup truck.

Several takeaways from Obama’s speech and your commentary.
First off Obama has raised the definition bar of narcissism so high I shudder to think someone will come along and raise it higher.
Second, as you said he failed to mention the murder rate in Chicago. I posit that his comments and actions, using the DOJ inappropriately, have caused the increased murders of law enforcement and the inner city.
And third, he has manipulated the MSM so adroitly as to divide our country and turn us into a nation of tribes feuding against one another and they don’t even realize, to this day, that they have been used.

Jeez, Lisa, you must’ve gone thru a whole bottle of Tums watching President Stampy Foot; at least, I would have! I would also have needed a new TV after watching the first five minutes because my shoes would’ve been embedded in it! I’m especially upset because I bet someone Widdle Barrie ObaMao would’ve referred to himself at least 100 times, and I understand he “only” did it 75 times.
Could it be even he’s getting tired of talking about himself???
    On second thought, naaaaah…….

  • GWB says:

if every economic issue is framed as….

Yeah, and who’s been doing that framing?

the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves

You mean like Soros? Or the Clintons?

If we decline to invest in the children of immigrants

First, it’s not my responsibility to “invest” in them. It’s their parents’ responsibility.
Second, I have nothing against legal immigrants. I’m against supporting in any way illegal aliens.

some of us as more American than others

Some of us ARE more American than others. Because some aren’t American, at all. (And some others don’t want to be American – like the 0bamas.)

blame the leaders we elect without examining our own role in electing them

Well, I agree wholeheartedly with him on this one. I do blame the voters, however. I blame all the ones who are gimmee voters and uninformed voters (usually because they only watch/read the MSM) and useful idiot voters. They’ve helped to destroy this nation. (And not all of them voted for Clinton, btw.)

  • GWB says:

I am also impressed you watched the whole thing, Lisa. Washington Examiner says it was 10 minutes longer than Reagan’s, Clinton’s, and GW Bush’s combined.
