New York’s Hunting Season

The Hunting Season came to New York on Tuesday. The Leftcult’s unseemly celebration should alarm the more rational and sober citizens of the nation.

The language of the fetal hunting legislation signed by Governor Cuomo writes even a 39-week-old pre-born infant out of personhood. It puts at risk already vulnerable pregnant women by allowing non-doctors to perform both surgical and non-surgical abortions.

Is New York an outlier when it comes to such a radical position? Vermont says hold my beer.

Vermont may soon enact a law that would have zero limitations on the abortion as to time, reason, fetal viability, or method. From H-0057:

(a) Every individual has the fundamental right to choose or refuse contraception or sterilization.

(b) Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry a pregnancy to term, give birth to a child, or to have an abortion.

This means a healthy, viable baby could be killed at 8 months, thirty days gestation. It means the abortion could be delayed or done in a manner to permit organ harvesting. [snip]

And what are we to make of this provision?

(c) A fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus shall not have independent rights under Vermont law.

At the very least, it would fully authorize the horrible fetal-part selling practices in which Planned Parenthood was caught engaging (the videos about which have now been validated by a federal court).

We’ve seen before that fetal parts make for profitable business.

Reasonable people can debate over the practicality of abortion laws, especially when it comes to the majority of abortions that are done within the first 8-10 weeks of gestational life. However, that argument used to begin with the assumption, on both sides, that we are dealing with a human life with some measure of moral value.

New York has declared that unborn children, at any stage, are morally worthless.

  • Why stop at ninth month of pregnancy? Is a ten or eleven month old fetus really a person? Don’t think “that’s crazy, no one could ever think that!”

It’s a logical next step for anyone who imagines there are no objective principles, and “no objective principles” defines our current leftists. Post-birth abortions for people with Down’s syndrome, physical imperfections, libertarian or conservative tendencies, and similar developmental disabilities make perfect sense.

Some years ago, there was a very black fiction story of a ‘civilisation’ that allowed late-term abortion – up to the age of 12 years! And usually because the parents had upset “the Authorities”. now fiction is one thing, but do the Dems REALLY want to bring it to fact?

  • Part c) of the Vermont proposal is really interesting.

“(c) A fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus shall not have independent rights under Vermont law.”

We are not that far from being able to raise a fertilized egg in the lab for purposes of organ harvesting. This “abortion” law proposal provides legal protection, including for doing so commercially.

If you destroy a duck egg, you can do time. Explain.
