Media Continues “Hair On Fire” Behavior

Sweet bejeebus, won’t anyone grab a fire extinguisher and take it to the media?

One might think after almost four years of 24/7 hysterics from Our Betters of the Fourth Estate pushing the Russian Collusion Hoax and assorted other tidbits of #fakenews that they might take some time to reflect, to find some inner peace and to root out the log in their eye before taking up the wall-to-wall coverage of the Wuhan coronavirus.

But NOOOOOOO … perish the thought! The Wuhan coronavirus morning conferences, headed up by our phlegmatic Vice President, have become just another venue for the media to grab soundbites and run amok with their hair on fire.

VG Toni Williams wrote of the unconscionable behavior of NBC’s Peter Alexander desperately trying to get Trump by asserting Trump was giving “false hope.” CNN, crowned princess pony of #FakeNews, decided to up the ante by calling Trump’s willingness to share progress reports on medical research and studies as “peddling unsubstantiated hope in dark times.”

Lord almighty, I swear I heard thunder and screaming horses after that bit of purple prose. Are out-of-work writers of bodice rippers now writing at CNN? And of course, it gets better …

“To fight the coronavirus, President Donald Trump is adopting the audacity of false hope,”

OOOOOooo!! Audacity!
Needless to say, these media malcontents still haven’t learned that playing gotcha games with President Trump during the Q&A portion of the conference is not going to play any differently today than it did for the past four years. The scrapper from Queens is going to call them out. And rather than the next manufactured incident that they can run as “the walls are closing in” in hopes of knocking him down…

… Trump’s approval ratings go up.

Which, in itself, has got Leftwing media totally freaked out. Now there are coordinated calls that the Wuhan virus up-dates not be broadcast.

The Trump press conferences also are a problem for the anti-Trump media, because they gives Trump direct access to viewers with minimal filtering by the networks. Sure, the networks can (and do) spin against Trump, but people get to watch and hear it themselves. In this way, the press conferences act in much the same way as Trump’s Twitter account.

So numerous high profile media types have a solution: The networks should stop broadcasting the press conferences because Trump is misleading the public.

Yep, gatekeepers gonna try to keep the gate. You all are too stupid to understand what is important here. You are supposed to panic, to fight in the grocery aisles for toilet paper, to be so disheartened as to believe yourself a victim of OrangeManBad, regardless of any facts to the contrary.

The media’s hair is on fire. They want yours on fire, too.

  • “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” – H. L. Mencken

For all practical purposes, the media have become a political party…just one that “cross-endorses” Democrats rather than running its own nominees.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again all of the DNC/MSM are nothing but Liars, loosers and loonatics!!

Right. Trump was peddling false hope at the very same time he was refusing to give people hope in exactly the box Peter Alexander wanted it wrapped in. Alexander is ALWAYS trying to dunk on Trump and this was no different. He got what he had coming.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that when OAN’s Chanel Rion employed the right wing version of the left wing press room questioning tactics the gatekeepers all lost their minds. I only wondered why she didn’t ask Trump what surprised him, enchanted him, troubled him, and humbled him about the job.

I’m delighted to see someone finally start smacking these Democrat activists with press passes around. It’s about damn time.

Trump is a masterful troll. He plays the media like a cheap fiddle, and they fall for it every time. If it were Obama doing daily coronavirus briefings, we would be hearing 24/7 how masterfully he was guiding us through it.

  • Bandit says:

Like their overseas friends the lefty media thinks their purpose is to tell the public what to think

  • Politically Ambidextrous says:

On MTP, I was waiting for Chuck Todd to ask Governor Cuomo or Mayor De Blasio if either has authorized (or would consider authorizing) the use of lethal force to ensure the citizens of New York complied with their stay-at-home order – to avoid killing their fellow citizens by spreading the virus of certain death (VOCD-19).

If the answer was yes, he could then challenge them on due process and possibly increased risk to the poor. If the answer was no, then ask why he wasn’t taking the situation seriously and pointing out that the beach parties in Florida were a consequence of lack of serious leadership.

The follow up would be about “stop and ask” to determine if the reason a citizen was out was sufficiently ‘essential’.

Yeah, right… the ‘heads I win, tails you lose’ approach is only reserved for one party and not the other.
