The border issues, along with the hundreds of thousands of illegals flooding this country every month aren’t the fault of the Biden Administration. Nope, Mayorkas is blaming Congress.
If ONLY we had more money, and resources, and stuff, then our border would be totally fine!!
Mayorkas responded there have been “well more than a million” migrants being released annually, and that that statistic proves the nation’s immigration system is broken and requires congressional action.
When asked about 300,000 reported migrant encounters in December 2022 alone, Mayorkas said DHS is limited in its detention capacity, subject to congressional funding. The secretary, however, added there has been a “historic number” of removals during his tenure.
Asked later about Customs & Border Protection sources telling Fox News they are releasing nearly three-quarters of migrants who cross daily, Mayorkas said he is not surprised, and that those who are released are placed in enforcement proceedings and alternatives to detention.
You see, Congress is to blame for not giving them more funding, and the resources for our Border Patrol, and ICE to use to deter those crossing illegally. When Biden took office, the Democrats held the majority in the Senate and a slim majority in the House with Nancy Pelosi in charge.
Let’s see, what else was the Biden Administration doing then? Joe telling everyone they are welcome in, no questions asked. As of March 2021, illegals who enter this country face little to zero threat of deportation, unless they happen to be on the terror watch lists.
Mayorkas insists to Brett Baier that the DHS is following immigration laws that Congress (there he goes again with the subtle blame game), yet between January 2021 and March 2023, how many illegals caught were deported? LESS THAN ONE PERCENT.
Yet, as we’ve watched these last three years, NONE of this is the fault of Mayorkas or his lack of leadership, it is everyone else’s fault.
We need transformational policy change to secure our border, enforce our laws, and deter even more illegal immigration.

Secretary Mayorkas is saying the opposite—that the Biden administration wants more money to process more illegal immigrants.
They just don’t get it. pic.twitter.com/b4ZvjcwZI7
The illegal immigrants that are “processed” are handed notices to appear that have them responsible for court dates three or more years into the future! Furthermore, as I found out earlier yesterday, if an illegal finds him or herself in Chicago, their NTA could be a court in Florida! What are the odds that they’ll actually show up? I’d say that less than 3% will show.
The Biden Administration policies on immigration or lack thereof, are now causing heartburn for all the sanctuary city mayors. NYC Mayor Adams has decided lawsuits are the ticket.
The mayor sued the bus companies who, since the spring of 2022, have been used by Abbott to ship asylum seekers to New York, with officials showing them maps, giving them bar-coded bracelets with their destinations clearly marked, and then checked by drivers to make sure they land in the city.
The suit seeks $708 million to compensate the city for the cost of shelter, food and health care.
What a ludicrous lawsuit. Eric Adams, during his campaign, bragged about how wonderful it is that New York City is a sanctuary city. Now, he has buyer’s remorse and is scrambling any way he can to unring that bell.
NEW: TX @GovAbbott responds to NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ lawsuit against migrant bus companies used by TX, calling it “baseless” & sanctionable.

Yes, it is quite the laughable lawsuit. Meanwhile Chicago’s mayor is throwing snit fits right and left while the Mayor of Denver is playing the guilt strings.
“It’s both a humanitarian and fiscal crisis,” said Mike Johnston, the Democratic mayor of Denver. “We aren’t going to sit by and watch moms and 6-month-olds in tents on the streets in 10-degree weather. But by refusing to do that we are on the path to spend $180 million next year and could not do that either.”
“As mayors we are so frustrated,” he added, noting that many of the migrants arriving in his city must wait for months before they can work legally in the United States. “This is actually a solvable problem, if we had work authorization, federal dollars and a coordinated entry plan.”
And…there it is! Just as with Mayorkas, let’s blame everyone else and beg for more money. Congress hasn’t acted so it’s their fault this time that we are seeing well over 300,000 illegals cross into our country each month.
It’s a challenge you see, and it’s Congress’s fault.
.@BretBaier also asked Mayorkas if he’s willing to describe what’s happening at the border as a crisis?
— Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) January 4, 2024
“It’s a challenge,” Mayorkas said.
He acknowledged “historic” numbers of illegal crossings, but accepted no blame for the Biden admin & said it’s not just a U.S. issue.
New Jersey is so fed up with illegals being pawned off into their state that they are sending them straight into the city.
Meanwhile, during yesterday’s interview, Mayorkas ALSO claimed that a record number of illegals had were returned or removed last year. But refused to share those numbers. Do you believe him? I sure as hell don’t.
Illegal immigration is a huge national security problem for this country. Yet, once again, we have a spineless weasel in charge of said immigration policy shifting the blame elsewhere. NONE of this is his fault.
The fact that we are having to fight the federal government on something as basic as enforcing the border says a lot about their agenda, dunnit? https://t.co/pijSdjerUf

Yes indeed. That is the plan. And, if Mayorkas (who claimed in 2022 that the border is secure) is EVER held to account, I can just see it now. ‘I was just following orders, thus it is Congress’ fault because they failed to fix the system.

All branches of the federal government are guilty of allowing this invasion to take place. America is suffering because of it and will continue to suffer for years to come. The stage has been set terrorist activity within our boundaries. ARRRGH!!!
