Little Italy was erased. This was deliberate. Mamdani’s office gleefully published a map of all the ethnic enclaves across New York City. It’s supposedly a tourism gambit. However, it’s what is missing from the map that is causing righteous uproar.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani caught some Italian heat Wednesday after releasing a map of the Big Apple’s ethnic enclaves that includes places like Little Palestine — but ignores historic Little Italy and other notable Irish and Jewish immigrant nabes.
The map, titled “New York City Immigrant Enclaves,” highlights 30 areas across the five boroughs, ranging from Koreatown in Manhattan to Little Pakistan in Brooklyn and Little Yemen in The Bronx.
But critics were quick to roast the socialist mayor for overlooking the city’s very own “original Little” — a nationally recognized historic district that brought you everything from meatballs to the mafia.
No, the Mayor’s office didn’t accidentally overlook Little Italy, or the long-time Jewish and Irish enclaves. All of them were very deliberately left off the map.
The Mayor's Office made a map of NYC's immigrant enclaves: Little Africa, Little Poland, Little Palestine. But they just couldn't figure out how to represent 11% of the city. Couldn't decipher where the Jews are from. Asked everyone. Huge riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an… pic.twitter.com/hdnzhtTt9T

Yes, the Irish need not apply when it comes to Mamdani showcasing the ethnic history of the city.
Kevin McCabe, a former City Council chief of staff, said the map shamefully leaves out generations of folks hailing from The Emerald Isle.
“I guess they never heard of Woodlawn or Sunnyside but that’s OK, the Irish are everywhere, the way it’s supposed to be,” McCabe, an original Working Families Party operative, told The Post.
“The British Empire at the height of its powers couldn’t cancel the Irish, I’m not too worried about a couple of ill-informed bureaucrats.”
Others slammed Mamdani for ignoring neighborhoods such as Brooklyn’s Borough Park, which is home to one of the largest Orthodox Jewish communities outside of Israel.
As I stated above, this was deliberate. The vast majority of all those enclaves listed are new arrivals. Italians, Jews, Irish, Germans, English, and Dutch are the ones who settled in and BUILT New York City.
Ugandans nor the so-called Palestinians, Tibetans, or Yemenis did not build the Empire State Building. Nor did they build St. Patrick’s, Gracie Mansion, the Metropolitan Opera building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Carnegie Hall, the Flatiron Building, Grand Central Station, or even Rockefeller Center.
Mamdani’s cute little map disregards the generations of contributions to the very fabric of our nation in food, song, culture, clothing, and more.
Zohran Mamdani wants to ERASE Italian Americans.

First, he denied our permit for Unity Day 2026.
Now, he is excluding Little Italy as a recognized location all together on the map.
Italian Americans BUILT NEW YORK CITY. Not third world Ugandans,

Understandably, people are ticked off at this map and erasure of history and culture.
Needless to say, members of the city council have a thing or two to say about this.

Keep in mind, voters were warned about Mamdani. Those who voted for him keep getting slapped with reality bats. Mamdani was clear during his campaign. He was very clear as soon as he took office.
America is bad. Anything Muslim is outstanding. American history and contribution must be vilified, as he did with that atrocious July 3rd speech, and erased as he is doing here.
Over 12 million immigrants from WHITE European cultures led by Italy (over 2.5 million), plus Russia, Germany, Ireland and others and through Ellis Island and settled in NYC, where their labor built its subways, skyscrapers, garment industry and economy.

The excuses from his office are just that, excuses.
In a statement, a City Hall spokesperson said the map wasn’t designed to highlight religious enclaves in the Big Apple, adding it instead “highlights neighborhoods in New York City that have substantial foreign-born populations from regions and countries around the world.”
Little Italy isn’t a religious enclave you moron. But of course, you also know that moronic spokesperson was subtly/overtly pointing a finger at the Jewish enclaves across the city.
Mamdani has been working overtime to disenfranchise the Jewish community across the city. This is yet another slap in the face to wipe out their contributions to business, trades, and the arts. Some of our greatest actors and producers came from New York City. Mamdani’s map is deliberately erasing their contributions in favor of …Little Palestine.
Jews are not the only group the mayor has offended. He also defied a decades-old tradition by skipping the installation ceremony of Ronald Hicks as the new Catholic Archbishop of New York, replacing Cardinal Timothy Dolan. And it’s not that he is above mixing religion with politics — the same week, Mamdani “put out a tweet marking World Hijab Day,” the New York Post reported, and recommended an immigration policy based on the example of the Islamic prophet Muhammed. One-third of New Yorkers are Catholic — Mamdani doesn’t appear to care.
Mamdani also offended the Puerto Rican community earlier this year by canceling the annual pre-Puerto Rican Day Parade reception at Gracie Mansion, which typically hosts local officials and Latino community leaders. Hit with backlash over the snub, Mamdani’s office countered with a hastily convened luncheon, to which, according to the Post, the mayor “mainly invited younger radicals in good standing with his Democratic socialist movement.”
All the little socialists surrounding Mamdani are pushing this, and he’s totally on board with it. Which should serve as a wake up call to all New Yorkers. This excuse rings hollow.
The guide is designed for tourists to experience some of the vibrant cultures in New York City, but is not considered a full list of “all of the rich diversity across the city,” the spokesperson added.
“The immigrant enclave series began during the [Eric] Adams’ administration, and we are planning to add more neighborhoods in the upcoming months.”
What a load of horseshit. They should’ve started with the Little Italy, Irish and Jewish enclaves and built from there.
Leaving out the Italian, Jewish, and Irish enclaves in NYC is like leaving out Mexican and Persian enclaves in LA.

It’s not an “oopsie!” This is deliberate subversion. The communist must erase your history so he can demolish your home and make it his own. https://t.co/JnxMJWQCo9
This was a deliberate erasure. New Yorkers take note.

What don’t you understand?
The English, the Dutch, the Germans, the Irish, the Jews, the Italians (including, especially, Chris Columbus) are all evil “Colonists”. And, they are also dreaded Christians and Joos! Thus, they must be erased. (Yes, I know that the Polish people are mostly Catholic and even had a Pope. But, back in the days of the Great Jewish Disappearance- we don’t use the word “Holocaust” and deny it happened, they just disappeared – a lot of Poles cooperated with the Nazis, so they get cut some slack and get an ethnic neighborhood of their own). Understand, now?
