Liberals Use Labels to Derail Facts

Liberals use labels to define people. This prevents actual discussion or investigation because the assigned label shifts the focus from the topic to the individual. Liberals and the MSM continue to defend vile behavior, and some irrefutably incompetent Democrat members of Congress. All because of their specific label. It’s time to stop the hypocrisy, and hold everyone to the same standard.

More Labels Than a Department Store

The labels worn by liberals are insulation from having to defend their speech.  Liberal, Muslim, Female, Socialist, “Hyphen American”…etc… All are part and parcel of the liberal playbook to distract from a real discussion of the topics.

Recently congressperson Ilhan Omar made headlines for yet another anti-Israel Tweet, and non apology mea culpa.  Then, yesterday she sat atop her perch on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and badgered a long time public servant about events during the Regan administration. She didn’t ask questions, but lectured and condemned acts from 30 years ago.

The MSM barely batted an eye, and when they did it was to wink and say “ahh, okay. You apologized. It’s all good!”.

Meanwhile, we still hear echos of “Racist Trump” after he accurately called some countries “shit holes.” Guess what? He’s right. Stating that doesn’t make him a racist. But according to MSM, he’s the second coming of  KKK Democrat David Duke.

Labels Not Policy Determine the Discussion

When policy criticism is directed at Democrats, the labels really start to fly. “Misogynist”, “Sexist”, “Racist”, “Bigoted”,  “Phobic”, “Liar”, “Thief”… it goes on…and on. They are all negative. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez is an endless well of “what the heck?!” policy ideas. She continually contradicts herself on the same topic of discussion. Rightly, as a brand new member of congress, her policy views come under scrutiny. It’s normal and not because she’s female. But according the LA Times OpEd titled “Right-Wing Blowhards…..” it’s the misogyny of the GOP and their fear of losing their place in the power structure.

If you think misogyny has faded since “Mad Men” days, you’re wrong. In fact, as women pack the halls of power, it seems more virulent than ever, as conservatives convulse in fear at losing their old rubrics of control. They lash out more than Don Draper ever did.

I’m waiting for liberals to explain their position on Condi Rice. Is it because they were afraid of her power and influence? Was there misogyny at play? The political cartoons published in the NYT and other mainstream news outlets were vile. The images reinforced the most base racist and sexist viewpoints. Exaggerated lips and easy use of the “N” word. There was nary a liberal gasp of objection. Certainly no cries of hating women. Not that it was a surprise because the MSM all but ignored that fact that Condi was the first woman, and a Black one at that, to fill the position of National Security Advisor to the president. She was also the first Black woman to head the State Department. Those dang conservatives obviously hate women. How else can you explain Bush appointing her.

Incidentally, in the final vote for her confirmation “The Senate voted 85 to 13 to confirm Condoleezza Rice as secretary of state, providing the most negative votes cast against a nominee for that post in 180 years.”
All 13 Nays belonged to Democrats. Not once were they accused of Racism or Misogyny by the media.

Hillary’s “Participation” Label

Hillary Clinton is an unhappy loser, with supporters in all areas of the Federal Government. It’s come to light that the 2016 accusation of a Quid Pro Quo discussion between FBI and Dept of State regarding Hillary’s non-secure classified emails, may actually be true.

The story in USNews in 2016,

A State Department official allegedly urged the FBI to alter the classification of a secret document found on Hillary Clinton’s private server as part of a “quid pro quo” that would allow the FBI to place additional agents abroad, according to newly released documents from the bureau’s now-closed investigation into Clinton’s handling of classified information while serving as secretary of State. The FBI and State Department each denied Monday that such an arrangement occurred.

The Judicial Watch FOIA 2019

Judicial Watch announced today it received 215 pages of records from the U.S. Department of Justice revealing former FBI General Counsel James Baker discussed the investigation of Clinton-related emails on Anthony Weiner’s laptop with Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall. Baker then forwarded the conversation to his FBI colleagues. The documents also further describe a previously reported quid pro quo from the Obama State Department offering the FBI more legal attaché positions if it would downgrade a redaction in an email found during the Hillary Clinton email investigation “from classified to something else.”

Then Republican nominee Donald Trump tweeted this video.

President Donald Trump may respond with an updated address to this topic, or he might just sit back and savor the vindication.

Either way, Hillary’s label of “First Female President” shielded her from the full force of a true investigation. Had there been 1/4 the effort put into this as has been put into Trump/Russia collusion, the truth would have come out years ago. Instead we have layers of fabrication, and self serving government employees holding back the truth.

The Expensive Label

At midnight the government will again shut down, if there is no authorized spending bill. Despite weeks, and dare I say months, of time to work on a bill, it’s expected to arrive tomorrow, maybe. At over 1,000 pages, are legislators going to read it before they have a vote? This has happened before, and the same Speaker was in charge. That time we bought the turd-ball that is ACA. Republicans are right to be nervous:

“No one has seen the final wording of a long and complicated bill we will be expected to vote on tomorrow evening,” Republican Maryland Rep. Andy Harris told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “That’s no way to run a legislature.”

Republican Study Chairman Mike Johnson also confirmed that “as of lunch on Wednesday, members of the RSC, and to our knowledge, even members of the conference committee, had not seen the text.”

The Democrats are in charge, they had several weeks of extensions, and they are dropping the bill the day the the government is scheduled to shut down again, at midnight. That’s some college level cramming for a lot of people who are asleep by 9:pm.

The Republicans will be labeled as “evil corporateers” who hate the impacted employees. Trump will be continue to be labeled as a “Racist” who “wants to break up families” and is a “bigot.” Because the Dems didn’t get their spending bill out in time to get read before being signed. Only a fool would sign without reading it.

I don’t blame Trump for making sure it’s ironclad before signing it. Especially in light of Democrats misplaced concerns.

… after hitting a snag over Democrats’ demand to limit to how many criminals Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be allowed to detain, Congress reportedly reached an “agreement in principle” late Monday.

The group who lives for labels is nitpicking over how many criminals ICE should be allowed to detain. I have a label for them: Idiots.

As for the only label that matters, “Fairness,” it may be a long way off.

” I have a label for them. Idiots.” Gonna have to argue just a bit on that one Narcissi, while it definitely does apply to some of them, I think more of them know exactly what they’re doing, it’s 100% intentional, with their end goal in mind. In that case, I think the proper labels would be Anti-American, Anti-Freedom, and EVIL…

Disagree. It shifts the focus from any individual and their arguments to a caricatured group to which the individual is now assigned – for good or ill. For instance, “homophobe” shifts the focus from the topic (i.e., homosexual behavior) to a group (e.g., “homophobes”), and identifies the individual with that group, regardless of actual applicability. Now, whatever that person says can be dismissed since they are part of this invalid group.
On the other end, it establishes the virtue of said individual by their membership in the virtuous caricature group. No matter what they say (unless it impacts another, more important virtue group) matters, as it all has the moral (and, thereby, logical) authority of the group behind it.

dropping the bill the day the the government is scheduled to shut down again
    It’s called “extortion”.

I tend to agree: If I explain my refusal to participate in social events due to the great stress that participation causes me as I am autistic I am often asked what special [savant] ability, a la Rainman, I possess. I explain that I do have certain abilities, but also inabilities, however ultimately I am still a human who must fit into society as best I can and do my best without expecting preferential treatment on the one hand or pitying condescension and special treatment on the other.

At least sometimes you should reply “My ability to kick insensitive p***k’s a**es up between their ears” or some such. On those occasions when you want to see someone sputter. 😉

Trust me GWB I have a list of potential ”kickees” in my head, but I know that such fools are not worth the legal consequences and potential loss of my firearms should I be found guilty of crushing their appendages and gain a criminal record.

Black History month and yet no mention of Condeleezza Rice anywhere! Meanwhile, I’m getting a foreign born, anti semtic woman of color thrown constantly upon every electronic screen and told she embodies true diversity, that I, a straight, white male of Christian heritage, can not begin to understand so I should have no opinion whatsoever.

    • Christie Murren says:

Oh man Richard, What are you thinking of! you belong to the most highly abhorred group in the USA. The “privileged” hetero white male! How dare you speak!!! 🙂
