Kamala and Trump will debate on September 10 with ABC as the moderator. The rules were agreed to, but now Kamala wants to change the rules.

The current dispute centers on the muting of microphones when a candidate isn’t speaking, a condition both Biden and Trump accepted for their June debate hosted by CNN. Both sides are accusing the other of gaming the system to protect their candidate.

Biden’s campaign team made microphone muting a condition of its decision to accept any debates this year, and some aides now regret the decision, saying voters were shielded from hearing Trump’s outbursts during the debate. That move likely would not have helped the incumbent Democrat’s disastrous performance.

If you read the media, they are working to try and pin this debate rules change on Trump. Which is not the case. 

What’s amusing is the rationale behind Kamala’s push to change the rules of the debate. 

“We have told ABC and other networks seeking to host a possible October debate that we believe both candidates’ mics should be live throughout the full broadcast,” Brian Fallon, Harris’ spokesperson, confirmed to CBS News. “Our understanding is that Trump’s handlers prefer the muted microphone because they don’t think their candidate can act presidential for 90 minutes on his own.”

Yes, really. That’s their rationale. I tell you what, it took me a long time to stop laughing at that lame excuse. We watched the debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. 

We all know that it was an epic disaster for Joe Biden. And it was highly evident that Donald Trump handled himself admirably during that debate. One might even say he was Presidential during that debacle. We also know that it was that performance by Joe that led the media and politicians to finally admit what we here at Victory Girls and many others have been saying for four plus years, Joe’s mental health is a serious problem. And thus, Joe is no longer the candidate, Kamala was crowned. 

Yet suddenly, she wants the debate rules changed, AGAIN. I can completely understand the Trump campaign’s exasperation with this sudden switcheroo. 

“Enough with the games. We accepted the ABC debate under the exact same terms as the CNN debate. The Harris camp, after having already agreed to the CNN rules, asked for a seated debate, with notes, and opening statements. We said no changes to the agreed upon rules,” JASON MILLER, senior adviser for Trump, told Playbook last night. “If Kamala Harris isn’t smart enough to repeat the messaging points her handlers want her to memorize, that’s their problem. This seems to be a pattern for the Harris campaign. They won’t allow Harris to do interviews, they won’t allow her to do press conferences, and now they want to give her a cheat-sheet for the debate. My guess is that they’re looking for a way to get out of any debate with President Trump.”

I’ll admit, I thoroughly enjoyed that smackdown of Kamala’s sudden change of heart. Why? Because she’s shown on a multitude of occasions that she’s incapable of responding to even the simplest of questions without embarking upon a word salad journey. Case in point:

That was just painful.

There’s possibly another reason why Kamala wants an open mic night. 

Harris wants to change the rules so there will be a hot mic during a debate with Trump. This is so she can reprise her "I'm speaking" schtick she did in her Pence debate anytime he spoke and even when he didn't. But for what it's worth, that was SO ANNOYING of her. pic.twitter.com/NtMpPnj5M4

And yes, it’s a fair bet that she’d try that. But hey! She’s the candidate of change and Brat energy!

Now she wants new rules in order to make the entire debate more favorable to her. All while the Harris campaign and their media lackeys try to blame this sudden change on Trump.

What is she afraid of? I’m pretty sure this is also a gambit to try and get the debate canceled so she won’t have to defend her dismal record as Joe Biden’s Vice President.

Needless to say, this move reeks of desperation. Especially given the fact that this candidate for President refuses to do interviews of any kind.
