We take a break from the the impeachment circus to bring you more from other clowns in another ring. Seems Donald Trump Jr. is not the only one saying that Hunter Biden benefitted from nepotism. Enter into the ring, Joy Behar.
On a segment of yesterday’s The View, the hosts discussed how Republicans focused on Biden and Burisma and his drug use. Behar chimes in with the remark that nepotism is “all over the White House” and we could look no further that the Trump administration. But she also threw in her two cents (and even that’s an overestimation) on Hunter Biden’s involvement with Burisma:
The Burisma thing is nepotism. And let’s just call it what it is. It’s just nepotism.”-Joy Behar
I can’t believe I am saying that I agree with Joy Behar on this one but…I do. The Burisma thing is nepotism, yes. Because, quite frankly, was Hunter Biden worth the $50,000 a month he was getting paid at Burisma? And how, pray tell, does one land a gig paying 50-grand a month after being kicked out of the Navy for cocaine use?
But wait, there’s more. After saying this, Behar felt the need to backpedal and stand up for ol’ Joe:
I think he needs to go out there and really shame them … he has lost two children — Joe Biden has. He has one son left and these shameless people are attacking his son, the one boy that he loves still, that he has to go home to at night.”-Joy Behar
Here we go with the “Poor Joe” sob story again. Did the Biden family have their share of tragedy? Sure. I’m not touching those tragedies. No one deserves to lose a child to cancer. Nobody. No one also deserves to have a son who is a royal screw-up like Hunter Biden, either. But seriously, Joy, enough with the Poor Joe stuff. Hunter Biden is a grown man and has free will. If he wants to spend his daddy’s money on crack and strippers, that’s on him. But according to Behar, we need to feel sorry for Joe Biden and his mess of a son, the “boy” he loves still and has to “go home to at night”. Even more disturbing, we need to be okay with Joe going out and publicly shaming others.
Let’s, for a moment, put aside the pity party for Mr. “I like to have my hairy legs grabbed by little kids in the pool”, Joe Biden. Hunter Biden, did indeed benefit from nepotism. Hunter Biden also benefited from something more sinister and that is corruption on the deepest level. Lest we not forget who was an instrumental factor in placing Hunter Biden, an individual who had maybe just a little less experience than other potentially qualified individuals in the industry, on the board at Burisma.
We can bring other words out from underneath the table, too. Joy may have mentioned nepotism but we see bribery and extortion in there as well. Perhaps those descriptors would have been a bit too harsh for the liberal talk-show host to handle, especially when painting Joe Biden as a martyr who is just guilty of providing his one surviving son with a cushy gig at a Ukrainian gas company. Behar and her camp would like to compare this to the workings of the Trump family but in reality, Trump and his children’s influence and business dealings were part of the private sector long before he ever stepped into the White House. Can we argue nepotism within the Trump family? Sure. Can we argue that there may be some influence peddling there? Sure. But nepotism, corruption and denial have no doubt run a strong current throughout Joe Biden’s legacy as Vice President of The U.S. under the Obama Administration.
Even though Hunter Biden was a product of his father’s overindulgence and nepotism, he’s not a boy. He is a grown man who needs to be accountable for his actions. Despite this, Joe Biden, according to Joy Behar, is given carte blanche to go on out and “shame people” for questioning his (or his son’s) motives. According to Behar, it’s been tough few years for Joe Biden and we can’t expect the former Vice President to answer the difficult questions thrown his way. He went out in the parking lot with a gangster back in the day but people are not permitted to ask him hard questions or confront-even if they are confronting reality? Instead it is completely justified for Joe Biden to “go out there and really shame them”-call people “fat” and throw in the standard liberal responses to anyone who questions motives by calling them “damn liars” and insulting their IQ. And elite, liberal Democrats all scratch their heads and wonder how in the world we got to where we are today. It’s all pretty mind-blowing, to say the very least.

Welcome Instapundit Readers!
Joy is right – Joe needs to start shaming people: Poor Joe has lost 2 children. But he got a new grand baby for Christmas whose Momma is a stripper, and a son who says he hasn’t worked since last May. Tell me when Joe is going to start shaming people, I’ll want to stock up on popcorn before the rush at the grocery store clears the shelves.
Still waiting for the child support trial; can’t wait to see Hunter Biden’s income revealed to the world. His attorneys have already tried to seal the records, and a judge has turned them down.
the one boy that he loves still, that he has to go home to at night.
Ummm… she does realize that he moved out, right? Hasn’t he? I mean he was married and stuff…….
Can we argue nepotism within the Trump family? Sure.
Yep. But at least they seem to actually be doing something to earn their keep.
it’s been tough few years for Joe Biden and we can’t expect the former Vice President to answer the difficult questions thrown his way.
Well, then, we can’t expect him to handle the hard questions thrown his way as president, now, can we?
It’s all pretty mind-blowing, to say the very least.
Well, Hunter’s more of a crack guy, isn’t he?
These people are horribly nuts. They’ve gone full religious wackjob with all these Democrats as their saviors and prophets and Saint Greta of the Scowl. I now understand what people lived through in the Dark Ages…..
And if they do a few lines of coke together he’ll love him even more. But don’t criticise.
Just because she’s a functional illiterate I shouldn’t pick on her but I’m gonna. Nepotism isn’t the issue. Nepotism means you got the job through family relations but it doesn’t necessarily imply corruption or criminality. It doesn’t imply you don’t do the job or incompetence. This is money laundering and bribery on top of nepotism.
Too late, I’m already ashamed of Biden
