John Fetterman, perhaps the most unconventional Senator to emerge from Pennsylvania, is somehow transforming into a legitimate voice for the people of the Keystone State. Lately, he’s been full of surprises, some of which are giving Republicans a rare reason to smile.
Now, the latest shocker: Fetterman is reportedly heading to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Donald Trump.
If the experiences of Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, and Justin Trudeau are any indication, Trump has a knack for flipping the script and reshaping perspectives. Good luck, Mr. Fetterman—this could get interesting.
After a visit to Mar-a-Lago, Mark Zuckerberg graced us with a cringe-worthy video of his freshly permed hair, awkwardly promising an end to censorship and fact-checkers on his platforms.
Jeff Bezos followed suit, and shortly after his trip to Mar-a-Lago, Amazon Studios struck a multi-million-dollar deal to produce a documentary about Melania Trump.
And then there’s Justin Trudeau, who shockingly decided to resign after one dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Coincidence? Probably not.
Is there something in the water at Mar-a-Lago? Play it again, Sam.
So, yes, John Fetterman should undoubtedly meet with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. He has adamantly told the media that he is open to conversations about helping all Pennsylvanians, not just Democrats. However, the Mar-a-Lago meeting has not been finalized.
“I’ve been very clear that I have ongoing conversations with people that are going to have an impact on Pennsylvania and for the nation. And I am a senator for Pennsylvania, not just for Democrats. I am a senator for everyone in Pennsylvania,” Fetterman added in his comments to the outlet

A lot of John’s colleagues could take a page from this book.
John Fetterman seems to be healing and recovering from his stroke in 2022. We all remember seeing him on camera from his basement while campaigning and how terrible he sounded. No one could believe he would win the race, but he did.

After winning, he pretty much immediately checked himself in Walter Reed to receive treatment for clinical depression. And he was in there for what seemed like forever, but in reality, it was only a month and a half. A long time for regular people, I’m sure.
Here at Victory Girls, we’ve taken our fair share of jabs at John Fetterman—just as we do with most politicians, whether they’re Democrats or Republicans. After all, we’re a political blog, and that’s part of the gig. But I’d also like to think we’re a fair blog, willing to give credit where it’s due. And right now, John Fetterman seems to be doing some good.
We also find humor in his comment about demanding to be named Pope of Greenland. Come on, man—you know it’s funny!

On a more serious note, Politico reports that John Fetterman is losing his communications director, Carrie Adams. She joined his staff after three senior staffers quit within months. Last year, she caused a stir by openly disagreeing with Fetterman’s stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict in an August interview with the Free Press. So, one has to wonder, what’s up with that?
Since John Fetterman started meeting with Trump’s cabinet nominees and even came out in support of Israel, it seems like some of his more hardcore progressive staffers might be struggling to keep up. Perhaps they didn’t sign on for a senator willing to step outside the party lines, and now there’s speculation that his shift in priorities is too much for them to handle. It wouldn’t be a surprise if this change in direction is part of why key staff members are quietly walking out.
Whatever’s going on with John Fetterman seems like a positive shift. He appears to be open to fairness and genuinely working in the best interest of his constituents, even with a “D” next to his name. Huh, how refreshing.
It’s impossible to overlook that many of us are skeptical of politicians just because they’re politicians. However, John’s willingness to be open and reach across the aisle is a welcome change.
I hope the media takes notice and shows more of Fetterman to the public. Maybe it’ll set an example for other Democrats, though I’m not exactly holding my breath.

Fetterman is running for the Democrat Presidential nomination.
I agree, the media should be doing more to cover Mr. Fetterman.
I just wish the man would put on a suit.
And either shave off that sea urchin on his chin or commit to a full beard.
