Since February 2017, Luke Rosiak at The Daily Caller has been doggedly pursuing the Imran Awan House IT scandal. What he has uncovered in this case is nothing short of astounding. The evidence SHOULD mean that Imran and his crew see jail time for years if not decades. But as of today, it is extremely doubtful that he will ever spend time in jail.
Federal prosecutors concluded an 18-month investigation into a former congressional technology staffer on Tuesday by publicly debunking allegations — promoted by conservative media and President Trump — suggesting he was a Pakistani operative who stole government secrets with cover from House Democrats.
As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Imran Awan pleaded guilty to a relatively minor offense unrelated to his work on Capitol Hill: making a false statement on a bank loan application. U.S. prosecutors said they would not recommend jail time.
-And
“The Government has uncovered no evidence that your client violated federal law with respect to the House computer systems,” including stealing equipment or illegally accessing or transferring information, including sensitive or classified information, prosecutors wrote in an 11-page plea agreement dated and signed Tuesday.
Did your jaw just slam to the floor in disbelief? Mine did. Imran Awan is NOT a nice guy. He and his crew, including his wife, had unprecedented access to over 40 members of Congress. That access was not only via the internet, it was in person. We’ve covered some of it here on the blog. However, courtesy of Luke’s detailed investigated reporting, here are key highlights
And then there’s this that Luke published just yesterday:
Multiple sources connected to the investigation told TheDCNF that shortly after an IG report came out identifying the House Democratic Caucus server as key evidence in a criminal probe, the evidence was stolen.
“They [the Awans] deliberately turned over a fake server” to falsify evidence, one official close to the CHA alleged. “It was a breach. The data was completely out of [members’] possession.”
A major IT server is disappeared as soon as it becomes part of a probe. Not only that, but every single chief of staff KNEW that Imran was a problem and needed to be shut down. But everyone involved is denying it. Oh ..by the way… did I happen to mention that all 40 members of Congress involved are/were part of the Democrat Caucus?
Why did Debbie Wasserman Schultz continue to hire Imran Awan, even after he was banned from using the House network?
How is Yvette Clarke able to write off $120,000 in missing equipment from her office, where Abid Awan worked?#TuesdayThoughts #ImranAwan

Just three weeks ago Luke discussed that a plea deal was being floated.
But no one could’ve seen this particular kind of plea deal coming!
Zero charges against Imran for his major breeches of security, theft, money laundering, intimidation, and more. Something smells really Really REALLY fishy around Congress.
DOJ just blew up the Daily Caller's reporting on Imran Awan. https://t.co/3qjVxZSkPG pic.twitter.com/a6tkofQ2qV

What is the DOJ hiding? Why is Awan going to be allowed to walk away scot free?
Sentencing is August 22. Defense is asking for probation. Judge agreed to take away Awan’s GPS monitoring device. https://t.co/1rN47e5E6D

I’m at the courthouse where the Imran Awan hearing just finished; heard @lukerosiak tell @csthetruth he’s never heard of a deal like this that excerpts someone from any previous crimes. Follow those guys for more.

The Washington Post didn’t want to run with this story.
A well-placed Democratic aide went to WaPo with detailed allegations of crimes involving Imran Awan in Feb 2017. WaPo never got back to him, then claimed the stuff never happened. Source only came to me bc he was shocked WaPo ignored himhttps://t.co/8T6kOO6guW https://t.co/JuejPd9o5z

Why not? Well, they were still crying in their Cheerios about Hillary losing the election. That’s why.
And then there is this regarding the plea deal
BREAKING: I’m at the federal courthouse, and it seems that Imran Awan’s Plea deal says that he cannot be charged with any previous non-violent crime.

Seriously??!! Wow folks. The fix is REALLY in!
Deal?! Oh, baby… #Democrats be shredding, hammering and hiding… https://t.co/BC9GZm6uYZ

Luke recaps the plea deal here. He notes that one key reason DOJ is dropping the case is because all the Democrats won’t press charges. Once again I ask, what are they hiding?
This plea deal is a complete and utter farce. The only ones doing a happy dance right now are Imran Awan and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
WTF, i say again, WTF is Sessions doing??? Why does he still have a job? Isn’t he, along with the rest of the Trump appointees supposed to be draining the damn swamp??? This proves it’s alive and well!!!
As for the Dims not pressing charges, can you say “blackmail”?? I knew you could…
If ever the real truth comes out about how corrupt and in bed with each other the dems and repubs are I’m sure a new prison would be needed. Unfortunately, I’m sure, we’ll never know. Term limits and no pensions would be a start but that will never happen until the citizens revolt.
As always….the”fix is in.” Be interesting to know how the Dems always seem to blackmail those who can hurt them.
Sandy Berger…..how ’bout the big one..Chief Justice Roberts….O’Bamacare. I think I know what they had (have) on him.
Dems I expect, managed to get ahold of everything Hoover had on anybody that was anybody……and “deep staters” are continuing to collect on ALL they need to know about.
This is wrong. WHY is the DOJ doing this? And why is Trump letting this go on in HIS DOJ?
You will never guess that Debbie Wasserman Schultz has a brother
Now you will never guess where he works
How guess what case he was assighned
5G billboards and cheap government subsidized drugs coming soon to a neighborhood near you much easier than reaching the required mandated mileage laws…so free pass till we get there
[…] They had him plea to loan fraud, and are conveniently burying the servers and all the other evidence…. […]
People need to understand that perhaps the third strongest intelligence agency in the world, funded by your tax dollars, is the Pakistani ISI and this asshat is most likely a member of it. We are governed by fools who are hiding some very large things.
