As Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Hollywood Hills burn, celebrities are also surveying the catastrophic damage to their own homes.
Dean Cain, of Lois and Clark fame, fled California years back but sounded off on the recent catastrophe.
Weak policy creates hard times. We’re now in hard times. We need to have strong men so we can create good times again. That’s the way it is. Strong men and women, sound policy. Everybody’s going to be in a better position.”-Dean Cain
Something California (and the west coast in general), have lacked so much of for years because of who voters choose to sit in office. Celebrities to include Mark Hamill and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who have openly endorsed liberals and Democrats on their platforms both had homes that burned to the ground as a result of these policies. Will they see the (burned down) forest for the trees? It’s doubtful. But Cain raises a strong point: will this change the Hollywood vote…even just a little bit?
Mark Wahlberg’s wife, Rhea Durham, called out Gavin Newsom for laughing amid the wildfires in a post on X that was since deleted. Why she deleted this? Nobody knows.
Why is the Governor of C.A standing around laughing like hes at a tailgate???”-Rhea Durham
Newsom’s director of comms, Izzy Gordon, had this to say about Hair Gel’s chuckles:
Anyone who’s been through a tragedy knows there are lighthearted moments and moments of sorrow, as the governor has witnessed himself on the ground in Los Angeles over the past three days, meeting countless firefighters, first responders and victims of this tragedy.”
Oh, Izzy! The Governor should be afforded these lighthearted moments in such a time, don’t you think? Though, I doubt he would be tailgating and eating hot dogs with the peasants. The French Laundry is more his speed and his go-to in hard times, right, Gavin? We would have LOVED some lighthearted moments in 2020 with our families while you and yours enjoyed a bougie dinner out at a restaurant.
"I just say this to the deniers out there: You may not believe in science. But you have to believe your own eyes. Mother Nature is just chemistry, biology, and physics."

NOW, we believe in BIOLOGY, California? Say it isn’t so! You have made YOUR state a refuge for those who denied the truth in their own biology. For their parents who denied their kids’ biological makeup. You’ve made YOUR state a haven for grooming and dangerous, damaging-both physically and mentally-ideas. You want to throw BIOLOGY in the mix now? This is where the “trust the science” bit does not bode well for Democrats like Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass. Many individuals believe in science and chemistry and physics. Or, so they say. They also believe in reciting the “science” script and voting for incompetent and irrational idiots who do not understand how lack of water reserves and budget cuts to fire protection can cause this damage.
Mother Nature is NOT deliberately empty reservoirs and dry fire hydrants, @GavinNewsom @CAgovernor.

And, does arson fall under chemistry, physics, science or Mother Nature, Mr. Newsom?
While Dean Cain hopes that California will eventually turn purple instead of remaining a blue state, the question remains: with so many homes burned to the ground and utter destruction, will celebrity voters turn the tide and think twice about supporting liberal democrats and their policies? I would say there is a chance for some to wake up but, as a whole, Hollywood is a vapid, vacuous hellhole. And to completely honest, some of these people are self-centered, egotistical dummies who are so sheltered from the real world that they cannot even fathom the impact of loss in the rubble that surrounds them. They have become intellectually and morally inept at seeing this. This is what happens when your main job is to memorize and recite a script verbatim for years upon years. You become completely void of critical thinking and a slave to the machine. You could not possibly deviate from this because, for some, it would be career suicide.
So yeah, I doubt much of Hollywood would stand up to Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom. They’d much rather throw out their pseudo-intellectual, “I believe in SCIENCE” and climate-change- I-told-you-sos. George Clooney will fly away on his private jet to Lake Como and most of them, will rebuild elsewhere or flee the country after Inauguration Day.
For those who are waking up, Hooray for Hollywood.

In answer to the title, Yes, it is a lesson, No, they won’t learn it, for all the reasons you mentioned.
They got what they voted for, they’ll whine, cry, and blame others for their mistakes, and then continue to push for the same stupid shit… Change my mind…
No one in Hollywood is waking up. It is a testament to the stupidity of George Clooney that he was mad at Obama for “using” him.
How long have we known who Obama is? He is the universe’s biggest narcissist and anyone who could never see through that is just plain stupid. Obama uses everyone to advantage himself. He uses Big Mike, his children, Biden, Kamala, anyone anywhere who thinks Obama is their friend, foreign leaders, etc., etc., etc., you name them, he will use them to his advantage if he can.
OK, let’s assume arguendo that “climate change” in all its manifestations is somehow at fault for the high winds and raging wildfires that have plagued the Golden State and particularly the LA basin lo these many centuries. Take it as a “given.” The real question all the politicians and pundit gloss over is, “why with all the funds and resources available to our betters did they not take action to mitigate the certain occurrence?” Aye, there’s the rub. They knew it was coming and yet did nothing but fiddle. Can anybody say responsibility and accountability?
Bass didn’t just fiddle, she left town.. AFTER posting a warning about conditions..
I’m thinking Hollywood people don’t change. They will follow the mantra that it’s all due to climate change, not lack of planning or resources or dumb decisions on budgeting. They are the victims here, burned out of their homes because of all these selfish little people who drive gas powered SUVs. The solution, in their mind, is more power to the government to control these selfish little people.
Let’s narrow it just a little: Hollywood people, in aggregate, won’t change.
There will be a few here and there who might actually see the light and “convert.” But the vast majority will simply demand more of the same.* Gooder and harderer as it were. Because they just know their luxury beliefs can’t be bad – because they believe them! And look at how well they’ve done in life.
(* IOW, your last sentence.)
Hmmm… do conservatives in Florida learn after awful hurricanes? Or what about conservatives in the Midwest during tornadoes? Hmmm… I wonder…
You do realize that there are thousands of people in California who are not celebrities, right? In fact, most of what makes up Hollywood is lower tier people, camera people, makeup artists, etc. They’re not all rich. And in many cases, people in areas like Pasadena and even Hollywood may have owned their houses for 40+ years. They bought them long before they were worth millions.
Say, don’t you live in Washington state? If you live near Seattle, could you sell your house now and be able to afford another? If not, then maybe take a seat and stop with this awful, disgusting behavior.
It’s not surprising, but yet again, the writers of this blog are really showing what truly horrible people they are. Pray that no one who knows you in real life, or your neighbors, find out who you really are.
It’s so cute how an amoral troll like you pretends you care about anyone.
do conservatives in Florida learn after awful hurricanes? Or what about conservatives in the Midwest during tornadoes?
Learn what, doofus? To elect people who will implement good policies to mitigate future tragedies? Evidently they do. I give you… Ron DeSantis!
Also, wildfires are not the same thing as either tornadoes or hurricanes. Or are you advocating those in the midwest build some mountains to disrupt the tornadoes? And Florida does a decent job of managing pre-hurricane conditions, it seems. Lisa is talking about policies like brush clearing, fire breaks, planning water usage, not sending excess equipment to another nation, etc.
If you’re going to cosplay a concern troll, at least address the actual written post.
Perhaps God is sending a message, not only to California but to all of America. Do evil and He will remove His protective hand from our land. We have done evil.
NARRATOR:
No. It won’t.
