Greta Thunberg Gifted Doctorate Of Theology Degree

An honorary theology doctorate at twenty years old. Is Greta Thunberg St. Joan of Arc now? Is screaming “HOW DARE YOU” at a UN Conference just as world changing? The climate leftist religionists want you to think so.

Yes, it’s real. Definitely not a joke that activist Greta Thunberg, who spends more times Zooming about climate change issues than attending school of any kind, is considered a great theologian by the University of Helsinki.

Faculty of Theology to confer eight honorary doctorates on 9 June 2023
Riho Altnurme, Professor of Church History, Vice-Dean for Research, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Tartu

Mia Lövheim, Professor of the Sociology of Religion, Uppsala University

Greta Thunberg, activist

Munib Younan, Bishop Emeritus, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, Former President of The Lutheran World Federation

Annabel Brett, Professor, Co-director of Cambridge Centre for Political Thought, University of Cambridge

Grace Davie, Professor Emeritus of Sociology, University of Exeter

Philip Esler, Professor, Portland Chair in New Testament Studies, University of Gloucestershire

The timing of this virtue signaling award from some of Greta’s many enablers is rather funny when you consider that its a Swedish university and Greta was just granted permission to proceed with suing the country of…Sweden!

A Swedish court gave Greta Thunberg and hundreds of other climate activists the go-ahead on Tuesday to proceed with a class action lawsuit against the Swedish state for “insufficient climate policy”.

Thunberg, and 600 other young activists in a group called Aurora, sued the Swedish state in November, claiming it had to do more to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius in order to live up to the European Convention on Human Rights.

So, is this honorary doctorate in theology meant to appease angry Greta? Who knows. Yet, I did have to laugh at the timing, and the fact that with Greta and the activists who encourage and enable her, nothing is nor ever will be enough.

The enabling started with her parents, which the media refuses to acknowledge. Then it become a world-wide phenomenon with politicians and celebrities running to her side to bask in the glory that is Greta. It really is a cult.

While we mock Greta, again, it’s her enablers who started this and are furthering her and others descent into climate change must happen or else madness! How mad is this? She was a supposed expert on Covid. How mad? So mad that wind turbines are NECESSARY with exceptions.

The irony and hypocrisy is rich here. Greta, her enablers, and the rest of the climate change fanatics demand solar and wind. Until suddenly they realize that people and animals can be harmed.

“The constructions are stealing the reindeer’s grazing land,” Maja Kristine Jåma, a reindeer herder and Sámi politician, told CNN. The reindeer are also affected by the infrastructure around the turbines, including roads, she said. “It disturbs them a lot.”

Jåma and others are calling for the turbines to be torn down and the reindeer grazing lands restored.

Of course it will disturb and totally change the grazing patterns of the reindeer! Between the construction and the noise of the wind turbines, plus the fact that actual grazing ground will be lost, of course the reindeer population will be negatively impacted! Now Greta needs to jump back on her little boat and come over and protest the whales dying off the east coast because of the planned wind farm there!

That said, Greta is a child still. A child who just doesn’t have the ability to see details and the 50,000 foot level of the issues. The wind farm on reindeer grazing land is just one example.

Oh, but please, let’s not focus on Greta. Let’s focus on her messaging but make sure she’s not relegated to the sidelines!

Environmentalism has a history of sidelining the voices of those most vulnerable to climate change on the basis that their demands were not central to the effort, said Tasneem Essop, a South African activist and the executive director of Climate Action Network-International (CAN-I). “In fact, many times they were chastised for raising wider intersectional issues. ‘We must really just fight the climate fight’” she said. “I’ve been in conversations like that.”

Or, maybe it’s the fact that environmentalism is riddled with errors as all of us rational critical thinkers know. Acid rain was supposed to kill us in the ’70’s. Then it was the hole in the ozone. Then it’s climate change/warming/cooling plus down is up or vice versa. I do have to chuckle that Tasneem Essop of South Africa ignores the fact that the push for climate change in that country has led to rolling blackouts on a weekly basis because the push for wind and solar has left the entire power grid vulnerable.

Greta Thunberg is twenty years old. She’s a child still who has been pushed into the spotlight by her attention-seeking parents and all the enablers who encourage her behavior.

An honorary doctorate in theology is just one more “award” for this religion called climate change.

Same here in the state of Tasmania, Australia: “Bob Brown, one of Australia’s most prominent environmental activists [and former leader of the national Greens Party], says he opposes a major windfarm development because its towers will affect Tasmania’s natural beauty and could kill endangered wildlife without any economic benefit for the state.”

“The wind farm [had been approved by the government] on the condition it shuts down for five months of the year to protect a critically endangered parrot”

Of course this operating condition made the wind farm unviable. Brown lives in Tasmania.

She is an obsessive autistic and lives in and through her obsession, reinforced by fools who see her as a savant or seer. Her lack of real life experience outside of the sheltered ‘workshop’ in which she has apparently been raised combined with her innate autistic inability to empathise means she really cannot care about ‘petty’ peripheral issues affecting others. Nor will her way of thinking ever change being ‘trapped’ in her public role with little or no opportunity to learn to live in general society amongst other, i.e. common or ordinary, people.

Well, duh. Progressivism is a religion, and Climate Alarmism is one of its cults. It’s why she was given a Theology degree.

That said, Greta is a child still.
Disagree. She is now 20yo. She may act and think like a child, but she is not one.

I was married at Greta’s age. Nowhere near a child…
And we were a relatively soft generation.
Greta is like a short, crazy little goblin. Or perhaps an orc.
She is in need of an ex-orcism.

The innate – [note the word ‘innate’] – social-emotional development of autistics tends to stop at the equivalent 3-4 year old normal development. Thereafter we who are autistic must be taught deliberately and methodically what Dr. Temple Grandin called in her case ‘forty hours of Miss Manners lessons’. In short she was trained/conditioned to behave correctly in open society with good Manners towards all and sundry at all times. That process takes up to the early twenties with autistics. So Thunberg is 20 years of age, but, given her indulged[?] upbringing as we understand it, is very immature socially and will likely remain so as there will be reduced opportunity for her to become more socially adaptive and civil as she ages being trapped [and also protected] in the Green Cult.

[For the record I and my autistic brother grew up in the 1950s in a family with an ex-army officer father and a very strict and ‘proper’ English mother. Manners were taught and practised in the same way that Temple Grandin experienced!]

This brat should be neither seen nor heard. In sane world, she’d be ignored !
