FBI Internal Memos: No Probable Cause To Raid Mar-A-Lago

How many times can it be said?? WE TOLD YOU SO!! Internal memos released earlier today show that the FBI KNEW there was no probable cause to raid Mar-A-Lago. NONE.

It was obvious from the start that the Swamp, especially during the Biden Administration, was weaponized against everyone and everything involving President Trump. They ginned up evidence on a plethora of levels in order to go after their enemy. They resurrected ancient laws on the books to manufacture cases against President Trump.

And now we find out for certain that there was zero probable cause to even CONSIDER a case let alone executing a search warrant for President Trump’s home!

The FBI did not believe agents had probable cause to execute a search warrant at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in August 2022, according to internal records released Tuesday by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).

The FBI’s Washington Field Office said it “does not believe (and has articulated to DOJ [counterintelligence]) that we have established probable cause for the search warrant for classified records at Mar-a-Lago,” according to one of the records authored by an unidentified assistant special agent.

“DOJ has opined that they do have probable cause,” the document continues, “requesting a wide scope including residence, office, storage space.”

The FBI official noted that agents had spent six weeks trying to establish probable cause that were “counterproductive.”

I’m so flipping angry right now. I’m sure our readers can imagine all the four letter words that are circling my head at the moment. The FBI told the DOJ that there wasn’t enough evidence to even consider a case let alone issue a search warrant.

Joe Biden’s DOJ, led by Merrick Garland took the law and stomped all over it in their effort to finally get ORANGEMANBAD on something...anything.

Which led to that awful day in which the FBI and DOJ swarmed onto Mar-A-Lago with full SWAT engagement, shut out President Trump’s staff and attorneys, and expanded their search to include Barron and Melania’s personal property.

The FBI was getting very frustrated with the DOJ’s continued push to manufacture evidence.

FBI personnel continued to urge a less confrontational approach, recommending that investigators first notify Trump’s attorneys that a warrant was being prepared and seek voluntary compliance, which Trump’s attorneys had already offered.

“Even as we continue down the path towards a search warrant, WFO believes that a reasonable conversation with the former president’s attorney … ought not to be discounted,” the official wrote, adding that documents could be secured while classification questions were sorted out.

As the weeks passed, frustration mounted inside the FBI. In another email, an agent complained investigators were being asked to revise affidavit drafts repeatedly without any new factual developments.

“We haven’t generated any new facts, but keep being given draft after draft after draft,” the agent wrote. “Absent a witness coming forward with recent information about classified [materials] on site, at what point is it fair to table this?”

As we all know, the DOJ pushed this issue anyway. And the media jumped up and down with glee and damned near threw a ticker tape parade over this.

We also knew that how the FBI conducted the search was beyond egregious and the show of force was absolutely uncalled for and further damaged the FBI’s reputation. Evidently, there were some at the FBI who didn’t give a damn about the optics.

By early August 2022, planning for the execution of the warrant was underway. In a message dated Aug. 4, an FBI agent emphasized the bureau’s desire to conduct the search in a “professional, low key manner” and to be “mindful of the optics.”

That message recounted a meeting with senior DOJ officials in which then–Deputy Assistant Attorney General George Toscas was quoted as saying he “frankly doesn’t give a damn about the optics” of the search. The agent warned that DOJ contact with Trump’s attorneys immediately before the raid was unlikely to go smoothly and could inflame tensions.

“I understand that this request may not go well at DOJ,” the agent wrote, “however, it is the FBI serving and executing the search and it will be our personnel who will have to deal with the reaction to that first contact.”

The raid proceeded on Aug. 8, 2022. An FBI operations order authorized agents to carry firearms and use deadly force if necessary. Agents were instructed to bring standard-issue weapons, ammunition, handcuffs, and bolt cutters while wearing unmarked clothing and concealing law enforcement equipment.

The fact that they really thought the reaction to their search would involve deadly force is telling. It says to me that there were some at the FBI and even the DOJ who were HOPING for deadly force in response! Not to mention the fact that the show of force was definitely NOT standard operating procedure. They went there because they wanted to.

This was supposedly about classified documents. Well now we find out for certain that there was ZERO probable cause for a case let alone a search of Mar-A-Lago.

The rot was from the top down and there MUST be consequences for this.
