The hubris of Anthony Fauci knows no limits apparently. On his way out the door and under the radar, Fauci handed EcoHealth Alliance a huge grant.

The National Institutes of Health issued a new grant to research firm EcoHealth Alliance to study bat coronaviruses, despite a previous grant to the company drawing scrutiny over its links to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The NIH grant was awarded for project titled “Analyzing the potential for future bat coronavirus emergence in Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam,” on Sept. 21, 2022 by National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which is run by Dr. Anthony Fauci until his forthcoming retirement. The grant provides EcoHealth Alliance with $653,392 covering a period until Aug. 31, 2027, government records show.

“Most pandemics are caused by animal-origin viruses that emerge in regions where people have high contact with wildlife and where illnesses or outbreaks may be missed,” a public health relevance statement on the project’s NIH website says. “This project builds on two decades of work that identifies the border region of Southern China, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam as a high risk for future emergence of novel coronaviruses and the potential site where SARS-CoV-2 first ‘spilled over’ from bats to people.”

As our readers may recall, EcoHealth Alliance is the entity that was thoroughly involved in the studies and researched performed at the Wuhan labs in China. That organization and head, Peter Daszak, have yet to be transparent about their work in those labs. Moreover, Fauci has weasel’d his way out from answering serious questions about the work in those labs, and who knew what and when. 

So now, as Fauci is about to retire with a major golden parachute of retirement income, he thumbs his nose at all of us and hands out a grant that funds a sketchy organization to the tune of $650K a year!  

Keep in mind, Fauci has insisted multiple times under oath that the U.S. didn’t fund any labs in Wuhan nor has the agency participated in gain-of-function research. Except that they did. And that was confirmed in October 2021.

Oh I could just bet that Fauci’s excuse for this is that the NIH only funded the EcoHealth Alliance organization. Thus, if they CHOSE to take some of those funds and step over the line into gain-of-function research, that’s on them. 

In mid-September of this year, a group of Senators wrote a letter to Samantha Power (yes THAT Samantha Power) who now heads the Agency for International Development. They wrote:

Today we write with deep concern about the millions of dollars the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is actively paying EcoHealth Alliance (EcoHealth), a U.S. nonprofit organization led by Peter Daszak. Peter Daszak through EcoHealth has provided an offshore vehicle to channel USAID and other federal grants to foreign researchers for decades. This arrangement endangers foreign researchers to the risks involved with collecting and experimenting on pathogens with pandemic potential and prevents direct U.S. oversight of the research. It is also noteworthy that EcoHealth’s subaward to the WIV permitted the transfer of U.S. intellectual property to researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China.

In July 2020, NIH suspended its bat coronavirus research grant to EcoHealth due to administrative non-compliance concerns when NIH determined that EcoHealth failed to monitor WIV research activities in China that posed “serious bio-safety concerns and, as a result, create health and welfare threats to the public in China and other countries, including the United States.” 1 NIH also determined that EcoHealth violated federal law for five years by failing to publicly report its grant subawards to the WIV and other organizations. 2 NIH reminded EcoHealth of its obligations and imposed a special condition on the award for EcoHealth to submit research records and information to NIH. 3 In October 2021, NIH informed Congress that EcoHealth was not compliant with its grant reporting requirements and that EcoHealth had five days to submit to NIH, “…any and all unpublished data from the experiments and work conducted,” under the suspended award. 4

Now, that letter was written on September 14th. The letter itself brings up some very real national security concerns. So, what does Anthony Fauci do just six days later? Hand Peter Daszak and EcoHealth Alliance another grant!

I honestly believe that Fauci green-lit this grant out of pure spite. 

Anthony Fauci was the biggest advocate of locking down this country and the world. He has pivoted on his stance multiple times and has arrogantly stated that the lockdowns really weren’t harmful to anyone. He told the world that HE is the sole decider as to what science is or isn’t. He has weasel’d his way into a cushy job that will net him a retirement worth millions. And now, out of pure spite he hands EcoHealth Alliance more of our tax dollars, so they can supposedly “study” bat corona viruses. 

The arrogance of the little weasel knows no bounds.
