James Comey is beginning to resemble Hillary Clinton. Seriously, he is. His stops on the book tour include taking pot shots at everyone, Trump, and the kitchen sink as explanations as to why he did or didn’t do what people think he might have done. In Toronto, he landed this gem in everyone’s lap.

“I can’t rely on anything I see in the media because there are no leaks coming out of Robert Mueller’s operation, so I don’t know what he knows,” Comey said. “I really don’t know what he has. What I do know is that he and his team are an all-star team of pros.”

Oh that’s cute! Especially coming from a guy who actually TOOK information and leaked it via a pal of his to the press to help save his butt regarding the Hillary Clinton email debacle.

The bureau and Justice Department, he said, have to be seen to be independent and professional, and the information that came their attention about thousands of recently discovered emails meant the public had to know. Concealing the information would have been “catastrophic,” he said.

“The act of concealment would be devastating to the institutions of justice for a generation,” Comey said. “And, if she’s elected, devastating to her presidency.”

After closing the second investigation, Comey characterized Clinton’s conduct with respect to the sensitive emails as “extremely careless.” What he should have said, he now says, was that she had been “really sloppy.”

So that means his testimony in front of Congress was ummm, not quite accurate?

You don’t say.

These remarks from Comey yesterday are quite illuminating in light of the following.

Furthermore, Sara Carter reports that Judicial Watch uncovered the fact that Comey was advised, actually TOLD to seek Mueller’s advice before testifying in front of ANY Congressional committee last year about anything he does or doesn’t know concerning the Trump campaign and alleged collusion with Russia.

The kicker about that is, all of this advice and subsequent conversations/emails took place AFTER Comey was fired! Yes, folks, he had easy unfettered access to folks at the FBI and likely the DOJ in order to help fine tune his testimony last June.

The key email is dated May 19, a full month before his Congressional testimony.

That your counsel convey any acceptance or declinations to invitations to testify directly to the Committees.

That your counsel consult with Special Counsel Mueller to determine the timing of any such testimony and,

The Office of General Counsel stands ready to discuss with you in consultation with the Department of Justice and the Special Counsel, institutional privileges or prerogatives that may be presented by any such testimony.

This sheds a very interesting light on Comey’s entire testimony now doesn’t it?

Keep in mind, his testimony had some pretty interesting bombshells. Such as that now infamous tarmac meeting between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch. 

So for Comey to claim that there are no leaks coming out of the Mueller camp is extremely laughable, given that it is Comey we are talking about.

Comey was in charge of the FBI when the entire Steele dossier thing started. He was the one who presented to Trump info regarding the dossier even while knowing a significant portion of it was completely fabricated. He was the one in charge of that investigation that used a top-secret source, and as Kimberly Strassel reports, that that critical information was kept hidden from a major Congressional investigation.

So riddle me this Batman. Who colluded with whom? Current evidence is pointing to Comey and Mueller, with Russia nowhere to be found.

While Comey continues on his own version of the “What Happened” book tour, he might want to rethink the title of his book. I’d suggest, ‘A Higher Loyalty to Lies, More Lies, And Collusion.’
