The fallout from the drone/missile strike that Iran launched against Israel has begun. And Joe Biden is… nowhere to be found.
After finding out that telling everyone “don’t” wasn’t working as a solid foreign policy plan, Joe Biden was told to get his butt off Rehoboth Beach and get back to the White House, because the attack that Iran had been warning everyone about was going to happen.
And yes, Iran was busy telling everyone that this attack was going to happen. The United States knew something was going to happen, otherwise Biden wouldn’t have been called back until after the attack. But now, the administration is trying to deny that they knew anything was imminent at all.
Turkish, Jordanian and Iraqi officials said on Sunday that Iran gave wide notice days before its drone and missile attack on Israel, but US officials said Tehran did not warn Washington and that it was aiming to cause significant damage.
Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles on Saturday in a retaliatory strike after a suspected Israeli strike on its embassy compound in Syria.
Most of the drones and missiles were downed before reaching Israeli territory, though a young girl was critically injured and there were widespread concerns of further escalation.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said on Sunday that Iran gave neighboring countries and Israel’s ally the United States 72 hours’ notice it would launch the strikes.
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said it had spoken to both Washington and Tehran before the attack, adding it had conveyed messages as an intermediary to be sure reactions were proportionate.
One senior official in US President Joe Biden’s administration denied Amirabdollahian’s statement, saying Washington did have contact with Iran through Swiss intermediaries but did not get notice 72 hours in advance.
“That is absolutely not true,” the official said. “They did not give a notification, nor did they give any sense of … ‘these will be the targets, so evacuate them.'”
Tehran sent the United States a message only after the strikes began and the intent was to be “highly destructive” said the official, adding that Iran’s claim of a widespread warning may be an attempt to compensate for the lack of any major damage from the attack.
“We received a message from the Iranians as this was ongoing, through the Swiss. This was basically suggesting that they were finished after this, but it was still an ongoing attack. So that was (their) message to us,” the US official said.
Iraqi, Turkish and Jordanian officials each said Iran had provided early warning of the attack last week, including some details.
And buried in the above story is Turkey’s comment that they acted as an “intermediary to be sure reactions were proportionate.” About that…
Iran informed Turkey in advance of its planned operation against Israel, a Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters on Sunday, adding that Washington had conveyed to Tehran via Ankara that any action it took had to be “within certain limits.”
Turkey, which has denounced Israel for its campaign on Gaza, said earlier on Sunday that it did not want a further escalation of tensions in the region.
The Turkish source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had spoken to both his US and Iranian counterparts in the past week to discuss the planned Iranian operation, adding Ankara had been made aware of possible developments.
Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to Fidan to make clear that escalation in the Middle East was not in anyone’s interest.
“Iran informed us in advance of what would happen. Possible developments also came up during the meeting with Blinken, and they (the US) conveyed to Iran through us that this reaction must be within certain limits,” the source said.
“In response, Iran said the reaction would be a response to Israel’s attack on its embassy in Damascus and that it would not go beyond this.”
Turkey is a NATO member, and they claim they gave Blinken a heads up, and that the official word back from the Biden administration was “fine, but don’t go overboard”??? What the actual HELL kind of foreign policy is THIS???
And then the White House initially thought that they would put Biden out to give a statement. Then they changed their minds. Now, they are claiming it is because Biden is keeping a “low profile.”
White House aides on Sunday discussed the idea of Biden delivering a national address after Israel, in conjunction with U.S. forces, shot down the vast majority of the 300 drone and missile launches from Iran forces seeking to avenge the killing of senior paramilitary leaders.
But while scheduling was fluid, there were no immediate plans for Biden to address an American audience on the conflict in the Middle East, according to six officials, granted anonymity to discuss sensitive internal planning. Advisers assessed that a major presidential event, such as a televised address, would likely escalate the tensions and may provoke Tehran, two of the officials said.
“Putting the president behind the Resolute Desk turns up the temperature,” said one of those officials. “That’s something to ideally avoid.”
Does anyone actually believe that?
White House says Biden is going to address nation.
WH check on Biden
"Yeah we can't do this right now. Not happening."
Leak to Politico who will publish whatever WH tells them
"Biden's disappearing act was all planned for."

So, to prove that Joe Biden is totally on top of things and very involved with the coalition defense of Israel that occurred yesterday, the president’s Twitter/X account put out this not-at-all heavily edited 50 seconds worth of footage of Grandpa Joe cheering on the Air Force for doing their part in shooting down Iran’s drones and missiles.
Biden praising US forces for an attack he knew was coming, stood by, and let unfold, while US forces were deployed to stop is just next level political House of Cards soullessness. https://t.co/FYYB2KvW7j

There are six jump cuts in this video that lasts less than a minute! This is the BEST that the White House could do? They couldn’t get the meds in time to jack up old Joe to give an address to camera, so we’ll just hand Grandpa some cue cards to read and try to pass it off as him just being “overwhelmed” with the sheer awesomeness of our military.
This entire debacle can be laid completely at the feet of Joe Biden (where he will trip and faceplant right over it). It is his administration who gave Iran billions and billions of dollars, which Iran then used to help supply Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthi, not to mention buy the hundreds of drones and missiles that were used against Israel. It is the Biden administration’s feckless and wimpy foreign policy that has landed us in this mess. And now the administration has the nerve to tell Israel not to retaliate, Iran is trying to declare that they’re done now in order to blame Israel when they DO retaliate, and the UN is calling on Israel to “de-escalate.”
China is licking its chops right now over Taiwan, after seeing how Joe Biden is reacting to Iran’s attack against Israel. News flash, Taiwan – it doesn’t matter what Biden has said before. He will not back you up. Arm yourselves accordingly. You have smart people – restart your nuclear weapons program. The Biden administration will be too paralyzed to stop you, and it is your only deterrent against a blockade or an invasion by China. Sadly, you will not be able to count on Joe Biden to even remember where you are located, much less come to your defense – or allow you to fight back. Israel has learned that lesson the hard way, and I doubt her leaders will make that same mistake again.

“Within certain limits” — Sounds like what he told Putin about attacking Ukraine.
We can thank all those dead voters that Biden is in the White House otherwise we’d have a nonstop barrage by the media attacking Trump for his fecklessness in dealing with this crisis.
Professionals make it look easy.
‘Iran informed Turkey in advance of its planned operation against Israel, a Turkish diplomatic source told Reuters on Sunday, adding that Washington had conveyed to Tehran via Ankara that any action it took had to be “within certain limits.”’
Okay, so which human being “conveyed” this message? I am sick of the Deep State agencies identifying errors being made and then throwing up their hands because they can’t figure out who actually acted. Same will play our here.
