Iran To U.S: Thanks For The $6 Billion, We Will Spend It However We Want

On 9/11 of all days, it was announced that the U.S. had struck a GREAT deal with Iran. Five hostages would be freed. There’s a catch though. Iran will get five of THEIR terrorists back AND $6 billion dollars.

Five American citizens being held hostage by Iran will be released in return for the unfreezing of $6 billion held in South Korean banks, the U.S. government announced on Monday – enraging Biden administration critics, particular as the timing coincided with the anniversary of 9/11.

The five U.S. hostages – businessmen Siamak Namazi, 51, and Emad Shargi, 58; environmentalist Morad Tahbaz, 67; and two anonymous people- will be freed once the money has been transferred from South Korea to an intermediary, Qatar, and then to Iran.

Five Iranian citizens held in the U.S. will also be released.

Keep in mind, I wrote about this last month. Now, according to the deal that was completely finalized and announced yesterday, the money is only supposed to be used for HUMANITARIAN efforts in Iran. Well, Iran has a completely different idea about how to use that money.

But U.S. officials say Qatar’s central bank will oversee the funds and Iran will only be permitted to use the money for humanitarian purposes in accordance with U.S. sanctions.

But Raisi said that Iran would have “authority” over how the funds would be spent. “This money belongs to the Iranian people, the Iranian government, so the Islamic Republic of Iran will decide what to do with this money,” he said, according to an Iranian government translator.

Asked if the money would be used for other purposes apart from humanitarian needs, Raisi said: “Humanitarian means whatever the Iranian people needs, so this money will be budgeted for those needs and the needs of the Iranian people will be decided and determined by the Iranian government.”

In other words, once the money is actually in Iranian banks, the regime will spend it wherever they want. And if anyone believes it will go to help the Iranian citizens with food, shelter, schools, etc… think again.

$6 billion can build a LOT of nuclear weapons.

This is where we are. Joe Biden’s diplomacy and foreign policy not only ensures unchecked cash flow to Ukraine with zero oversight, but we now pay Iran – a known terrorist regime –  for hostages.

Iran is totally celebrating right now. Meanwhile, Hezbollah, whom Iran funds, issued a direct threat to the U.S. last month.

The Americans control the oil fields east of the Euphrates, and they are the ones who prevent these fields from returning to the Syrian government,” he said. “The Syrian state and its allies are able to liberate the east of the Euphrates. . . . But the east of the Euphrates is an area occupied by U.S. forces, so the conflict there is a regional conflict and could lead to an international conflict. . . . If the Americans want to fight, they’re welcome, and this is the real battle that will change everything.”

Given they also know some of that $6 billion going to Iran will head their way, it’s understandable that they are emboldened by the weakness of the Biden Administration.

Biden’s G20 trip was a disaster on all fronts. It was capped off by his “speech” in Anchorage, Alaska yesterday afternoon. A speech containing multiple lies that even the fact checkers couldn’t spin.

Furthermore, the White House website as of this writing still put nothing up about 9/11 other than the proclamation issued on September 8th, and has NO information about this supposedly terrific Iran hostage swap.

Is it any wonder that Iran is blatantly thumbing their nose at us? They are making bank with $6 billion while the Biden foreign policy directives ensure we are less safe than ever before.
