Violence and bullying from Bernie Bros is the internet’s fault says AOC. She displayed some epic tap dancing today on The View after Meghan McCain asked her about it.
On a scale of 1-10, I’d give her tap dance about a 9.2. Notice how she came up with an answer that roamed around the barn multiple times, yet never actually answered THE question? I did. Instead she comes up with an ‘it’s that gol darned internet’s fault!’
Let’s look at the violence perpetuated by people attached to Bernie Sanders campaigns shall we? As Lisa wrote here, the Project Veritas videos were damning. Guillotining the rich is a mighty fine idea! Even better, let’s bring back gulags!.
“Jurek suggested the use of gulags for “re-education” of Trump supporters and praised political labor camps. He said gulags have been misunderstood and were actually “a lot better” than described, noting people were paid “a living wage” and allowed conjugal visits.
“There’s a reason Joseph Stalin had gulags, right?” Jurek said. “Actually, gulags were a lot better than what the CIA has told us that they were. Like, people were actually paid a living wage in gulags, they had conjugal visits in gulags, gulags were actually meant for like re-education.””
Jurek meant what he said. As did Martin Weissgerber and scores of Bernie fans. I certainly do believe Mike Bloomberg is trying to buy the Presidency. However, this ad of his makes a damned good point of showing how dangerous Bernie supporters are.
We need to unite to defeat Trump in November. This type of "energy" is not going to get us there. https://t.co/bPuUZMs2d6 pic.twitter.com/Tdp6mpWjcX

Yet, according to AOC, it is internet trolls that are at fault. Not actual Bernie supporters attacking and maligning people from behind their keyboards.
““I think internet culture can often be very toxic,” Ocasio-Cortez replied. “Whether we are cognizant of it or not, it nearly always concentrates on women, people of color, and we experience the brunt of it. I think that to a certain extent we have to always reject hate, reject vitriol, and denounce that kind of behavior.”
Ocasio-Cortez went on to argue that anonymous Twitter handles were difficult to track, but McCain asked again, “Do you think he’s done enough to try and stop it?””
Of course the internet culture is toxic! Yet when given a chance to denounce the vitriol and violence that too many involved with the Bernie Sanders campaign engage in, she did an awkward tap dance and strove to move away from the topic.
““I think he works very hard,” Ocasio-Cortez said, soon turning the conversation to note that she had also been the recipient of attacks from other sources. “I.C.E. And CBP officers targeted me when I went to visit the border. They photoshopped — people who are supposed to be protecting immigrants and children are photoshopped —””
Oh, I get it. Internet trolls aren’t as bad as I.C.E. and CBP people who… DIDN’T target you but you’ll lie about it again anyway.
Bernie Sanders himself did issue a statement saying this type of violence from his supporters is wrong. However, he only said it was wrong if the attacks were personal. Furthermore, those paid campaign staffers of his? Still working for the campaign from what I can tell.
Violence from people affiliated with Bernie campaigns isn’t new. Congressman Steve Scalise knows that all too well. Bernie Sanders made a strong statement at the time condemning James Hodgkinson. That was then. And, as Instapundit’s Glenn Reynolds continually points out, Hodgkinson’s act of violence is being deliberately left out of media narratives.
Has Bernie disavowed the violence espoused by his current campaign staffers? No. In fact, he refuses to acknowledge his own supporters role in online harassment.
“The Culinary Workers Union said supporters of Sanders “viciously” attacked the organization via Twitter, text, voicemail and direct messaging after the union criticized the senator’s universal healthcare plan on Tuesday.
Sanders, in turn, called for an end to all online harassment, but stopped short of acknowledging that the attacks were coming from his supporters.”
So, AOC’s desperate tap dance to avoid the Bernie Bros question should not be surprising. If it’s ok for Bernie to remain silent on the matter, then it is obviously ok for AOC to keep her lips zipped as well.
#TheView's Meghan McCain asked @AOC if she would support @MikeBloomberg if @BernieSanders lost to him. #AOC actually said YES once Joy Behar pressed her. What a sell out!#Bernie2020 #BREAKING #BernieBros pic.twitter.com/JkQ7VPOfru

If she defects to the Bloomberg campaign, will she stay quiet then? Probably not unless it ends up being politically expedient for her to do so.

It’s Democratic Socialist Violence, which makes it okay and good somehow.
Kind of like how Democratic Socialism isn’t as evil as regular Socialism.
Haven’t heard one particular question asked of these dolts. Do you condemn the violence perpetrated by ANTIFA?
