The presumptive candidate for Congress from Brooklyn is quite something, Bless Her Heart. Every. Single. Time. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez opens her mouth stupidity falls out. Seems that she is not a fan of Ben Shapiro’s invite to a debate and decided to wave the victim card with all her might. It seems his invite was MEAN! He is catcalling her!
On August 8, Ben challenged her to a debate.
Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro challenged Democratic House candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to a debate on Wednesday and offered $10,000 for her campaign if she accepted the challenge.
In a segment on “The Ben Shapiro Show,” he noted that Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has called Ocasio-Cortez “the future of the party.”
“Miss Ocasio-Cortez, I’m really excited that you’ve been elevated to that position and I would love to have a real conversation with you about the issues,” Shapiro said.
“You’ve noted that you think Republicans are afraid to debate you or talk to you or discuss the issues with you. Not only am I eager to discuss the issues with you, I’m willing to offer $10,000 to your campaign today for you to come on our Sunday special,” he continued.
Wow. Not a bad idea, right? I mean seriously, the publicity alone would elevate her further into the public view. Not only that, but a $10,000 donation to her campaign?? That kind of money can build some great ads in the final run-up to the election!
So how did Miss Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez respond? First, she went radio silent. Then, when pressed, this was her response:
Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions.
And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one. pic.twitter.com/rsD17Oq9qe

Well. Bless. Your. Heart. Dearie. Aren’t you just so special??!!
You were challenged to a DEBATE. Do you not understand what a DEBATE is? It is a lively exchange of ideas and information.
Exactly. So help me out here, girlie. Since when is a debate defined as “catcalling?” I mean, really, do you even understand what catcalling IS?? I bet not.
A catcall is idiots using air horns, whistles, or just plain yelling their displeasure at a sports event or something similar. Guess what else a catcall is? It’s some jackass making a sexually suggestive comment directed at someone, usually women, as they walk down the street. For you to infer that debates are filled with catcalling is deflection at its very best or worst.
It’s not about “owing” a response. It’s about stepping up to the plate and defending your platform against someone who doesn’t agree with you. If by “bad intentions,” you mean @benshapiro wants to have a civil debate, then sure. How evil. https://t.co/ulb5L7HAYm

Exactly. So for you to deflect by saying that Ben Shapiro, or anyone in the audience for that matter, would engage in catcalling is laughable.
“Ben Shapiro only wants to debate me because he thinks I’m hot” is…. pretty much the exact reaction I would expect from an online millennial congressional candidate

TRUE STORY! Then again, given your latest performance during that interview with Chris Cuomo, it’s a pretty fair bet you’d lose the debate from the very first moment you opened your mouth.
I mean, seriously. Stumbling all over what Nancy Pelosi’s role is in Congress?
.@Ocasio2018 on Nancy Pelosi: "I think absolutely right now..she is the leader of..no no, um, she is speaker..or rather leader Pelosi..hopefully we’ll see..she’s ah..she’s the current leader of the party and..the party absolutely does have its leadership in the House and Senate" pic.twitter.com/6FUTWpgS98

Way to win friends and influence enemies there, Sparky!
Informing all of us Deplorables that our healthcare is more expensive now, so much so that we’ve been footing the bill for everyone’s funerals? That’s a helluva argument for Medicare for All! Ummm…NO
That individual mandate/tax premium thingy you stumbled all over? No, sweet cheeks. We don’t pay taxes on our healthcare premiums (although it sure feels like it); we’d only pay that darned IRS if we failed to HAVE any health insurance. But, hey! Facts? Those pesky things sure do ruin your narrative, don’t they?
But back to this debate catcalling thing.
Catcall? Playing the female victim card, how unexpected.
— Brian Bond (@briangbc) August 10, 2018
Yeah, it is so TOTALLY unexpected. I mean, she’s supposed to be WOMAN WHO BREAKS GLASS CEILING!! Oh, wait… that was Hillary who was going to do that. Oops.
But sure!
Let’s play the victim and have helpers along the way.
AOC is really good at responding to bad faith right-wing rhetoric. It's something I hope other Dems can learn from. https://t.co/ASV95JT1GB

Uhhhh…. NO. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was challenged to a debate on the merits of her platform. The APPROPRIATE response would’ve and should’ve been, “Many thanks for the invite, but no thank you. Oh, and please consider donating that $10,000 to (insert favorite charities here).”
Instead, she infers that political debate is sexual harassment.
If you find an offer to debate as threatening as a catcall you are maybe possibly perhaps not ready for prime time.
— Seth Mandel (@SethAMandel) August 10, 2018
Yeah, given the comedy gold she’s provided us all since her unexpected win in June, she’s ready for prime time all right. Prime time anywhere but Congress.
UPDATE:
Candace Owens calls Alexandria on the carpet:
And what exactly was your excuse for having turned down the debate with me?
Can’t wrap that one up in fake-feminism.
I’ll double @benshapiro’s offer. 20k to a charity of your choice— a capitalism vs. socialism debate. https://t.co/jHQHZcJ83V
— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) August 10, 2018
Wonder how Alexandria will handle this offer/response? Wanna bet she’ll figure out how to play a different sort of victim instead of simply accepting or declining the offer?
“You were challenged to a DEBATE. Do you not understand what a DEBATE is? I”… easy answer here, NO, she does NOT understand what a debate is… most lefties have no clue, and add millennial into the mix, and this is what you get… “she’s brilliant, she’s fresh, she’s the future of the party!… no-one could possibly disagree with her, so anyone that wants to challenge her must have bad intentions”…. Just one more example of how low the left has sunk…Shapiro’s challenge was truly brilliant though… she’s going to win the seat, no rationally thinking human could win that district, the idiots that live there reflexively vote against anyone with an R after their name (hell, they’d vote against this clown in that case), so it’s not like giving her campaign 10k would have any impact at all on the balance of power in congress, but it did show what an empty shirt (and head) she is..
AOC resorted to a misandrist feminist (but I repeat myself) dog whistle to associate Ben (and conservatives) with sexual harrassment of females. He challenged her to a debate but she wants to make it sound like he told her to smile.
When a feminist dog whistles to other feminists, are we allowed to describe her with the word for an adult female dog?
Yeah, this one-woman dumpster fire just keeps getting hotter and hotter.
Ridiculous.
Even money she abandons the sexual imagery and accuses Owens of just wanting to “pile on.” Oh, wait…
She’ll just pull the typical Leftist play of saying that Candace Owens isn’t a “real woman”.
The more I think about it, the more I realize it’s a really cunning stunt.
